Sorry @pmallard & @jotafduarte , Times posted after 11:59 pm (GTP Time) Monday night will not be recorded. pepper's time of 3.48.586 was posted in time and has been recorded.
His 1.47.144 probably would have been questioned anyway.
No problem Geez - rules are rules. Will try again next week. I promise the lap was legal. This is what I looked like at the end --->:nervous:

hey guys. When the announcement goes out to meet, what time zone are we talking about & are the cars specified no tune or modded to an agreed upon pp or hp ?

When we meet on Saturday's i usually put the times up in BST and EST.
Hope this helps. Internet working for 5 minutes engineer coming today at last.
If he can't get it to work i will keep him prisoner until he does. haha.

We race together every Sat at 8:30a EST, cars/tracks are specified here on GTP. For an example see Report #3033 on page 102. We also have a Geezer version of the Seasonals which use a "Geezer" car and is a weekly competition, you need a 2nd PSN (starting with GZR_) see Report #3129 Pg 105 for current car @ Willow. Car at LaSarthe is Chap 2D (See Rpt#3131 Pg 105). I understand 8:30a is early in AZ, but Duce is in Wash and enjoys the early morning. If you can join us Sat we can answer all your questions, hope you can make it.

Awww nutz,, o Duce was really looking forward to running GZR TT at LaSarth,, how would you fellas be with using either the old '88 or '89 Nissan - the blue and white one, or the red Toyota GT1? If there are no objections I could get logged in and review possibilities for the first run and post for Stewy's OK?? Then he can take over and run the requirements to the finish at week 4.

Edit: Fellas, forget the cars I mentioned earier. Here's an even better and more in line with the sort of hotrods we use in the GEEZER Club TT's,, how bout the '67 Chaparral 2D?? I bought one, drove it in STOCK, as purchased (3,750,000 credits), no tire change (came with RH tires), no chassis upgrade, no car wash, no oil change, no "nutt'n hunny" - simply as it came from the dealership. Logged in at the seasonal, selected "0" traction control, 1 ABS, Active Steering OFF, ASM OFF, driving line ON and it handled surprisingly well. 2 laps of test run and put down a decent 3:57 (green lap). With more laps I believe the car can run into the low 3:50's,, perhaps 3:40's. Then I looked in the Advanced Tune Finder, chose a GhostRider tune: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/resources/chaparral-2d-67.1192/ set the car to meet the TT specs and drove an easy 3:32 which could be driven to a 3:20 I believe. If we're all OK wityh that car let's get down and dirty in the GEEZER Club - Stewy TT!

:boggled: Update: The Geezers do Week 2 at LaSarth TT in the 2D. Fellas, I'm not real keen on this and had hoped Stewy would be back in business by now,, but it appears he's still got internet issues so I'll jump in and advise the 2nd upgrades we'll use. Hopefully Stewy will be back in the mix and can take over for Week 3 :sly:

1. ] Do the OIL Change,
2. ] do the chassis upgrade (if you choose to, I will but not everyone agrees it helps and is just another of those personal preference deals),
3. ] ADD the Low Range Turbo Kit.

We're now at 644pp, 523hp, 535ft-lb torque, 771kg netting us a 1.47 kg/hp Power-to-Weight Ratio.

We'll remain on RH tires, leave the stock - as purchased suspension (no brake adjustments), leave the stock - as purchased transmission (note, it tops out at just over 193mph - 194 winks at us), leave the stock - as purchased Drivetrain and body.

Good luck Stewy!! and Good luck Geezers!

@Daduce1947 Are you recording the results for week 1? When is the end of week 1? Will you send me the results?

Hi Duce - The time trials typically end on Wednesday nights. The same as the normal ending time for the GT6 official Seasonal Events.

The 1:47.144 would be incredible and have changed my original post. HOWEVER, in looking at my replay for the 3:48.586 time, I see I was using racing soft, so please remove the 3:48 time from consideration as it is illegal. P.M.

I can't get anywhere near @pmallard 's 1:47.144 lap:bowdown::D, but I've run a few more laps and found another 4 tenths so my best time with the stock 2D was a 3:48.365:

27848532765_4a3477fe74_k.jpg

I spent a good hour trying to find more pace, but kept making mistakes, so I wasn't able to beat my earlier time by much. I would keep getting penalties or go in too deep into a corner and wash on thru:grumpy:

No bud, I did not. As for when the end of the week is,, no clue ,, running the event wasn't something I really want to do but when we saw Stewy's net was down and it seemed we weren't seeing something for the 700pp,, like a dumbie I volunteered :O. Not likely I'll do that again .

@Daduce1947 - I'm not sure who else has run the Chaparral 2D at La Sarthe, but my friends list is showing four times plus my own:

GZR_oldboy ------- 3:48.018
GZR_Jota_FD ------ 3:48.340
GZR_GTsail -------- 3:48.365
GZR_Stewripper --- 3:55.699
GZR_geezer1791 -- 4:09.901

According to what I can see on the second screen, the laps by GZR_oldboy and GZR_Jota_FD were done on RS tires, so you probably need to discount those times.

I can also see Veda9947's lap, but he's driving some sort of new-fangled LM55 race car that disappears off into the distance:eek::D

I'm confused. According to Mots TT, we are suppose to use the tires from the official month TT which this month are Racing Soft, so this is what I used.
Which tires should we use for the second week TT?

Well, this is truly a Geezer Event! Everyone has exhibited true Geezer behavior for this first week and since everyone is right and everyone is also a Geezer, lets consider the 1st week to be good practice. I will not be posting any results/standings for LaSarthe for the 1st week. Duce has posted the car specs for the 2nd week and the tire choice has always been what the seasonal allows.
Let's give @Daduce1947 :cheers: a big thanks for his dedication in picking up the ball for this event and providing us with the opportunity for all this entertainment.
PS: There will be a BIG cash prize for anyone who can beat pepper's 1.47.

According to what @Daduce1947 posted below in post # 3131, we were supposed to use RH tires because the Chaparral 2D comes "stock" with these tires:

Edit: Fellas, forget the cars I mentioned earier. Here's an even better and more in line with the sort of hotrods we use in the GEEZER Club TT's,, how bout the '67 Chaparral 2D?? I think that the intention was that in subsequent weeks, Daduce1947 was going to let us buy some of the more expensive RS tires and see if we could then get the bronze or silver trophies!:)

No worries!

I am also confused:boggled: , when there was a similar problem with I think Mots, he proposed that the tires were as oficial TT to avoid confusion and there was not contestation. But I don´t mind to be disqualified:lol:

@oldboy1943 - Why don't we use RH tires for the second TT week as mentioned by Daduce1947 below?

@Daduce1947 - Had you given any thoughts to what we would use for the third TT week?

How about for the 3rd TT week, we use RM tires, and also add the Mid-range turbo, and allow full tuning?

And then for the 4th TT week, we would use RS tires, and also add the High-range turbo?

So the Chaparral's basic spec's would be as follows for the remaining weeks:

2nd week --- PPV644 --- RH tires --- stock suspension
3rd week --- PPV668 --- RM tires --- tuned suspension
4th week --- PPV683 --- RS tires --- tuned suspension

Would this work for everyone?

OK, I've given this a go with 644PP Chaparral and still using RH tires I was able to run a 3:37.802 lap:

The above was a pretty decent lap, but more time is possible with a bit more practice. The lap did win me the bronze trophy!:)

Good luck everyone!

Mots @ Willow week 2. Use the Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71 with an oil change gives you 420PP 201HP weight is 1080KG. Suspension is stock, stock power, stock diff, UPGRADE to the 5 speed transmission. You can also use any service in the pits, including improve body rigidity if you want. You can also change the brake balance on the stock brakes.

Hey Geezers im back at last, released my prisoner and the net works now.:):)

It would seem the brand new hub they gave me didn't work,:(:( then lo and behold the other brand new hub they sent
didn't work either:(:(.
So it was the hub. The first brand new hub that didn't work came from another customer's house where it didn't work, but was put into stock to be used at your house. The second hub that didn't work came from the previous customer's house where it didn't work and was put back into stock to be used at your house where it replaced the first hub that didn't work which was put back into stock to be used at a future customer's house. And so on..... Great to have you back Stewy

P.Mallard

Hi geezers my "2D" time now is with RH tires , GTsail does not need to check...:(
But the gear box set is inadequate .The engine overspeeding :grumpy: and if were real it did not end the race.
