Yeah. I am torn between upgrading to PS4 because of the way they treated all of g25/27 wheel users. Thought maybe I'd buy a super fast 8 core i7 cpu PC & get into "Project Cars" since the g27 is compatible with any Windows PC. Don't know if that game supports networking & in game chat.
 
LTD - Was it Sony or Logitech? I don't know who was to blame on that one. I do know that when I had (have) problems with the potentiometers in my G27, Logitech wouldn't sell me a 10 dollar part to get it back into working condition. I used the on line video that shows how to clean the things, but that only works so many times. I finally went to a load cell for my brakes and used the clutch pot to replace the accelerator pot.
 
I would put the blame about 50/50. Sony creates a new gaming platform (ps4) that won't accomodate the g/27 drivers software.? I don't believe it. Then Sony licenses it's new machine to Thrustmaster so Geezers need to fork out another 500-600 for belt driven wheel. "THEN", 2 years after the ps4 release & many Thrustmaster sales later, Logitech comes out with a "compatible" wheel for the ps4, the g/29. Who is kidding who? Like Joe Pesci once said in Cassino, "its all about the dollars"
 
LTD - You got all that right. The next Thrustmaster GT Sport "official" wheel was sort of unveiled in London. It's got the GT logo in the center and Kazunori was exclaiming it virtues because it will have a direct drive motor - no belts or gears, so much for the "old" Thrustmasters at the 500-600 price range. Duce will be asking for birthday gifts to cover the next 5 years, as will I.
 
This "war" is indeed a shame:tdown: only to Sonny , Logitech , etc have more profits without respect for loyal customers.
I have already the PS4 but as I have the G27 so I am thinking wait for Christmas and GT Sport to buy the G29 although upset:irked:
 
There i was 6 am Brexit 01.00 EST hammering away at Le Sarthe wondering why i could not improve my time.

It was just as i finished with no improvement that i thought i'm beat this time.

Then i checked the planet and discovered oil changes allowed and chassis strengthening, straight off 7 tenths quicker.

This afternoon it gets a proper thrashing. HAHAHA

I'm still grinding. I've 43 million so far. So what would a good lap at Brands Hatch be in the Mini with the max power & race softs. Also what driving aids allowed/disallowed.? Has any body been rammed by the AI's GT-R at the 500PP Spa race besides me? That is down right rude, dude.

The pp value will stay the same as it was, extra speed will come fromtuning suspension and diff and moving gears to 205.

OK, I will give this a shot and see how much the RM tires and a suspension tune will improve my lap times.:cool: I don't think that I'm going to be able to win the Silver trophy without a bigger turbo:nervous::D
 
MotsTT at Willow Use the Shelby Cobra 427 '66 with an oil change. Upgrade the suspension to the RALLY selection and get the racing brakes (you can change the balance). Do NO engine upgrades. Get all drivetrain upgrades as well as all weight reductions, NO weight can be added to change the balance, and no wings. Change the engine power to 313 hp and you should be at 500PP. Now get the good transmission and set to 162 mph (9 clicks). The differential setting I started with is 6/13/7 (PLEASE SHARE YOUR SETTING ON THE PLANET TO HELP OTHERS) I don't think we can get the gold this round. PMallard

I've run a few attempts with the RM tires and the same PPvalue as last week and was able to improve my lap time by 2 seconds over last week:

My Chaparral 2D has a PPvalue of 644 with the low-level turbo:

I'm getting passed by some of the other cars on the straights but gain back some time in the corners.:)

Good afternoon's racing again today, and welcome to @luvtadrive hope you enjoyed it.

Next Saturday will be as follows

Race 1 Bathurst 10 laps full tune in the 2J no nos

Race 2 Monza 10 laps full tune in the 2D no nos

race 3 will be an endurance race with a one make car, track and car to be decided this week.

This will be a short 10 or 15 minute race with no pit stops allowed in a car that eats fuel like it's

going out of fashion and will not make the time allowed on the fuel without some pretty fancy

fuel save driving. :eek::eek::eek: :crazy::crazy::crazy: :lol::lol::lol:

As you know, I'm not participating in the Geezer's Saturday events, but I still enjoy to hunt all my Geezer-friends in the official Time Trials or Seasonals.
And I'm working hard to catch up with you @ the Le Mans Super Lap, I've changed from the Pescarolo to the Peugeot 905B EVO1 Bis LM 1992 (which is much faster once you've found a proper Tune).
I'm coming closer, but am not quite there yet. :banghead:

If I only could handle the turns between Porsche Turn and Maison Blanche properly, that's the place where you all beat me! Until there, I cash you all in, but then Jota and Daduce1947 catch me in that part of the track and finally GTsail catches me in the last chicane (driving it like an alien).
See the below video, the Tune is at the end of the video (if someone is interested at all, perchance). Initial Final is 4,000 BTW

Morning Geezers there will be a room open today at about 14.00 UK 09.00 EST to try out fuel save race.

Thanks to the Geezers who joined me this afternoon i have now worked out the timed event.
It will be 20 minutes at Indy road you will have problems with fuel and tyres.
There are no pit stops.
The object is to win the race and/or get the fastest lap, and not run out of fuel.
There is an event open in the Geezer room for you to have a go at it.
There will be points awarded 1 for a win 2 for second etc.
Fastest lap gets a point which will be taken off you score, lowest score wins.

Track Indy Road 20 minutes, one make car the Peugeot Hdi, and it's like an alcoholic, loves a big drink.

This will be the third event on Saturday.

Sounds like a challenge. Sorry I couldn't join in but I had to watch Rosberg blow it - and Vettel too, quite literally.
