If we started at 9PM GMT would 7AM be too early? (Not just for Christmas Eve/Day btw, but generally). We rarely go over 2hrs for a session anyway.
 
Should be ok. I can always just go to bed again after for a few hours.

I'm actually usually up till 4-5am gmt +10 most nights.
 
I'm typically on 10PM to Midnight EDT (GMT-5) which would make it about 1-3pm for you (the next day)-- could help you with some if the other sessions don't work for you-- add me as a friend and put GTP in the message-- if you ever want to work on something and I have time, I'll help you out... just send me a PM for what you want to work on-- the death match ones would not take long-- top of the midnight club takes about and hour-- I have the "viral" rockstar one also-- I gave that one in a deathmatch to a couple people the other day-- heard them comment over their mics "hey I killed a rockstar"

Do you have any connection problems-- mine drops occassionally when i'm wireless- the game reads this as a "kick" and won't let you back in with an invite-- if you do then you might want to run a wired connection for these trophy sessions-- especially the ones that take longer.

thanks for the offer. Great to see you do have that rockstar trophy. I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to find that one. I will send you a message via the ps3 to arrange a meet. I will also make sure to use a wired connection. I don't normally have problems but best to be safe than sorry.
 
I just added Spuds. I don't any of the multiplayer trophies, but I can help everyone get trophies that they need.

Also, do I need my headset?
 
I have one-- I'm not a big talker-- you might hear the occasional curse word from me-- or "where are you" in the death matches-- this would help in the team timed team missions where you need some coordination among players. I do suggest game settings to the host at times.

I'd be on now but my kids are playing Wii right now--- possibly tomorrow afternoon-- I work nights the next 2 nights then have a few weeks off from work-- I'll be on late most nights after Wednesday for the next few weeks.

Who is on-line tomorrow and who is hosting?

I can host if we have about 4-5 of us on there, because then we can easily kick off people who join the group.

The plan is to get me the Top the Midnight Club trophy, which is 20 different race event wins. Took about 1hr-1hr30 with Spuds on Saturday.
 
I'm going to try make this one actually. I will have to confirm about the same time tomorrow though with a definite answer. Didn't realise I actually finish work earlier than normal due to Christmas.
 
I'll try to make it. However, if Spuds can't make it, someone else will have to add me to their friends list.

Nope, session was supposed to start 12 minutes ago, I was about 4 minutes late, I just missed JonesyGT246. No one else is on GTA4...

Thanks to Jonesy for the help tonight, only took us an hour. Some nice races after I had the trophy too, I liked it when you went under my airborne car at Horse Punch :D

I acquired the Cut Your teeth and Join The Midnight Club trophies. I have really only played in the free mode before. I had quite a lot of fun today, although I am not a big fan of helicopter races.

GMT doesnt switch to daylight savings time so our relative times in the US will change in the spring and fall-- EDT is GMT -5 hours right now.

did you try running a "private" match today...

Also for others that do this.. (racing trophies)-- to move things along, set traffic to parked and damage to "scratches only"-- I figured 20 1 lap races would average about 3 minutes each-- if you can keep others out.

Spuds worked last night and was sleeping all day... sorry I missed it-- I may be on in a few hours after the kids go to bed-- no promises.

I started a new IV game about a week or soand have started working on the gameplay trophies-- all the multiplayer play has helped my gameplay alot-- I have yet to fail a mission-- on pace for about a 15 hour story run so far-- there is a trophy for finishing story under 30 hours I believe.
 
I will have to go through the game again, I've done everything on the police computer but got no trophies.

Didn't do a "private" match, is this done by altering the private slots to max?

Any suggestions of time and trophy to obtain for our next meeting? I'm quite easy for the next week, 29th/30th perhaps? Don't want to do it on 31st ;)
 
You will have to kill me first (20x)-- not a problem-- but after the 20 kills, you better run.

Suggest a time here (preferred)-- any night between 10 pm - 1 am EDT I should be able to make it up til Jan 4th (I'm off til the 5th)-- if we get a 3rd person we could do it in team mode and you could get the "team player" trophy and I also have the "killed a rockstar" viral trophy so you could get that one if you don't have it yet.

I leave my PS3 running some times for the "life with playstation" running for the Folding @ Home project-- so if you send me an invite or message when it is running, probably won't see it til the next time I'm on to play. A message is better then an invite-- I've been playing through on single player lately getting all the single player trophies and have been ignoring alot of invites-- I'm about 1/2 way through the game-- its alot easier then I remember (multiplayer has made me a very efficient killing machine)

I've been doing the single player trophies and tried twice for the "under the radar" last night-- fly under all the Major bridges-- is one of them pretty obcure-- I can't seem to find the last one-- I've flown under what I think is every one over water and can't seem to get the last one-- I even tried the one in "central park" over the pond-- that one is tight I destroyed 2 helis getting under it and it didn't register.

I also tried the one one south of Bohan that isn't complete-- nope

I did get all the ones over the water around charge and colony island-- even the low ones and they all registered.

The ones on alderney are all in the south section and there are 4 stretches that go over the water-- only 3 register, the 4th one doesn't seem to be because it is the same road/bridge-- on two seperate runs I got it to register but in different sections (the east and western most spans).

Are they all over water?? or is one over the edge of some water-- i mainly searched with the ingame map.

That'd be cool for me to get the Rockstar trophy and the team player one too. Although 10pm-1am EDT is no good for me.
 
I can probably lend a hand here. Happy to help you sureshot. I'm on holidays till start of march and apart from work 3 times a week am pretty much free.

I'll send you a pm spuds, but any chance I could get that rockstar trophy off you? Maybe have a shot at getting us (assuming you need any) of the trophies.

Regarding the bridges when you go under them a trophy symbol shows at each of the bridge locations. I'm guessing most likely you missed one of the 4 close ones on the bottom left of the map. The 2nd one from the left you need to pass the bridge at a certain spot to clear it.

Here is a map anyway of the bridge locations. Hope you remember which ones you have done.

Thanks for the map J-pap-- however, I did all those-- the 4 in alderney is what is messing me up evidently-- I went under all 4 and only 3 registered-- the next time 3 registered also- the first time the middle 2 and the west one registered, the 2nd time the middle 2 and the east one registered--I assumed since they are part of the same bridge (it curves and crosses the water twice) was the reason it only registered once... I'll give it a try again... I did hit all the other ones...

For the trophy, you have to go under all of them in one flight-- so I'll have to hit them all again anyway.

I'll probably be on in about an hour or so for a while (if you want to try for that trophy jonesy).
 
Actually you don't need to do all bridges in one flight. I did them all across a few flights having destroyed about 4 helicopters in the mean time.
