I am not on a wired connection right now. I would have to move my PS3 to the computer room and hook up the cable. I don't want to risk losing connection, since that has happened before. Also, I am tired. Would tomorrow night work, Spuds?

I had to do them all again-- but I got them and the trophy-- thanks

I'm going on right now... pretty much any night is good for me up to Jan 4th.

Anybody free to help me get any of the online trophies between 1am gmt+10 (in about 6.5 hours) till around 5pm gmt +10?

Happy to do any trophy anyone is willing to help with :)

I won't be able to reply till around 12.30am gmt+10 as i'll be at work

Thanks
John

Did you mess up an AM and PM-- thats a 16 hour window.

You don't have to put the +10 next to the GMT-- just put the GMT time.

If those times are correct, they won't work for me (I can usually only play after my kids go to bed)-- I am 15 hours behind you-- you should have PMed me last night (for me) about 10-11 hours ago-- I was on the same time as you for at least an hour or so-- I've been still working on my single player trophies-- I did try to connect to MP after and there were some issues with PSN...

I have only been playing through the story (no sides)--51 missions complete-- I have failed 2 of them so far in just under 10 hours of play time.

If I see you online again, I can help you out-- the MP ones I need to do are all more involved or need at least 3 people (team trophies)-- the level 10 trophy is still a way out-- I'm still $1.3 million away from level 9.

Just to help you out on your death match trophies (assuming you aren't that good yet)-- this will speed you along

you can zoom your guns-- I use classic controls-- R3.

Also, with auto aim on, use your stick to raise the target and go for head shots... you can move this to right or left too which will help when another player is running or driving to your left or right.

With an assualt rifle or SMG--don't hold the buttons down-- short bursts are more accurate--it takes less shots anyway with headshots-- no body armor up there.

Also with assault rifles, you can shoot someone before they are in Auto aim range-- if you aim toward them and you see the health reticule-- they are in range, although you won't lock on them-- it is only a few feet difference.

Zooming helps alot with assault rifles- they have the longest range-- so find one if there is one nearby-- the trade off for an SMG is that they fire faster.

If you are using classic controls, I'm not sure how to reload-- but on standard controls, you can reload-- do this after each "encounter" -- if you empty your clip, you are a sitting duck if you are in the others range.

If you see me-- PM me what you want to work on.

No I actually meant for there to be a 16 hour window. I was just going to adjust my sleep to be up whenever it suited everyone. I am pretty much going to be awake all night. If I see you come online I will send you a pm :)

Spuds725 and I would like to try gather some interest in doing the Fly the co-op trophy. We need at least one more person but probably 2 for at least deal breaker.

Is anybody else willing to help or in need of this trophy? Please post here and let me know. Also let us know what your availability is like.

Depends what kind of GMT time we are talking. If it is evening then I am fine, even if it's like 10pm-12am GMT.

Suggest a time here (preferred)-- any night between 10 pm - 1 am EDT I should be able to make it up til Jan 4th (I'm off til the 5th)--

Those are the times available for Spuds. Is edt same as gmt?

I am practically available 24/7 just some days I have work.

Sorry-- EDT is GMT -5 so ---- 3am GMT to 6 am GMT is when I'm available-- these times are going to kill the europeans.... I can't commit to any other times at this time-- unless my wife takes the kids to her parents or something.

I think J-PaP had a productive hour last night-- he got at least 3 trophies (not sure if he had the "Let Sleeping Rockstars Lie" on yet-- that would be 4....
you should have got the above, the two race trophies and the 20 pistol kill trophy.

that flying to coop trophy will be tough-- especially BDB II -- I haven't been able to practice that one much because of the bug-- those times are all quite challenging-- I've only managed to get the "noose" time so far--- I think we should put this one off for a while-- we would all need coordination and possibly head sets and practice with assigned tasks.

The ones I was referring to last night when we played were:

Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic -- essentially win a game/race in all player modes (including all single player modes) would need at least 3 people with really good connections (wired preferred although I was wireless last night without any issues-- and a few hours to kill if we do this for both sides-- IMO we should do one side at a time-- this will still take about 90 minutes--

In combination with the above we would automatically do "Taking It For The Team" -- this is be on winning side on all team modes (including both sides of cops N crooks in one game)-- I tried doing this on my own-- I got wins in everything except car jack city and team car jack city-- I just couldn't find.

For these, to move them along we should use 4 people-

the host should not be the one getting the trophy since if someone is dropped, it will be read as a kick and the invite won't work, the host would have to exit to single player and then start up again, and reinvite everyone-- do every match as 10 minutes long-- cops and crooks would be less then that as would be the races-- this one should take less then an hour but would need at least 3 people.

Also for a note, I used custom (private) matches for me and J-pap--- worked just fine-- and so we didn't get any intruders-- this should prevent the join/drop problem that supposedly causes the BDB II bug-- that being said, we should BDB II first, in case the bug occurs so we don't waste all our progress up to that point.

So my plan-- if we go for the above-- 4 people for about 2 hours (2 of the 4 will need about 2 1/2 hours so they both can get both trophies-- can we confirm that we don't need at least 2 people for any team mode (I can't recall if we need at least 2 people for each side of cops n crooks)-- if not then we will have the host against 3 people for all the team modes-- after the team modes are done we divide up into pairs... for the single player modes--

BDB II first... just in case we encounter the bug.
Work up the list of games from the bottom up... the team modes are after the Team missions-- which should take about 20 minutes for all 3. Team modes will be 10 minutes each except cops n crooks which should take about 5 or 6 minutes-- this is about 65-70 minutes so far---

Divide into pairs now....

After that we sould need to do a race and a GTA race a few times (depending on who is getting the trophy for each one)-- lets keep this short-- stars in your eyes fastest IMO...

the individual modes is what will stretch this out (why we need to divide into pairs)... each is minimum timed 10 minutes-- so would be 10 minutes, car jack city, mafiya work, death match -- from my experience car jack city and mafiya work are hard to find (why I couldn't complete this on my own despite a 4 hour effort) -- this would be 30 minutes just for these and 30 more if both people decide to get it (minus the original host--who would have to exit to single player and start a new game if the new host is going to get the trophy too.... when the original host for the team player leaves, they start a new private MP game and they invite one of the people from the orginal game to it.... the new host will be assigned randomly-- so the 2 people that remain will have to commit for at least another hour so they both can get the 2nd trophy...

Here are the spots we need and the assignments.

Host #1-- will be host for all game modes and not get the trophy-- after all team modes are done they will leave and start a new game and invite player #2 to their game-- total time commitment will be about 1:45 to 2 hours

Player #2-- will accept invite from Host #1 and leave after the team modes are done-- time commitment same as above.

Player 3/Host #2 -- host will be assigned randomly so these 2 spots are interchangeable will need the same time commitment-- will be host for 2nd set of games-- will run each individual mode 2 times win one and lose one-- time commitment about 2:20- 2:35 hours so both can get the 2nd trophy.

If we do this I urge everyone to run wired connections if you have or have had ANY connection problems-- like me.

I think thats it-- sorry kind of long.... trying to cover all bases.

If you guys can work this out without me with this plan-- feel free-- my time is somewhat restricted...

I did have a very productive night(day). x4 trophies in fact :) thanks once again for your help.

I was thinking about the wanted trophy earlier and I think I may not even bother to try get it. It needs nearly 100 hours of playtime for that trophy alone. At this rate I have been playing (38 hours) I have to just steal another 15 cars for stevie, most wanted missions, 1 or 2 races left for brucie and get through all the random characters. and will have 100% complete for single player.

wow that was a long and complex post. I will have to read it again tomorrow (4am at the moment). To be fair I think we should ensure that at least everyone who does participate gets the same trophies. Be it involving double the time it is fair (well unless we find someone who has already got the trophies)

Anyhow if anyone is available hopefully times which suit Spuds and is in need of those trophies and has time available please put your hand up :)

Complex to me too-- why I didn't try to explain it via PS3 last night ;)

BTW-- From our limited DM last night, I think you can manage to get the 5 kill team Death Match one on your own-- it isn't too hard to get 5 kills in a team deathmatch unless EVERYONE is alot better then youl.

Regarding everyone getting the trophy-- that would entail doing each team mode twice--adding another 45 minutes to the session for everyone. Then each single player mode would have to be done for each player going for the trophy-- so we are looking at 30 minutes for each person-- 4 players would take easily 3 1/2 to 4 hours total for that- which is a very large time commitment---

I personally would volunteer to be host-- in exchange for this I would want 2 of you at some later point to help get me started on doing this by myself-- so a session of BDB II, Car Jack City, Team Car Jack City, Mafia work, and team maffia work (about 50 minute session)--- would be fine for me-- I could do the rest on my own I'm certain-- I'm pretty good at racing and death matches whoever is on my team will win death match ;)-- cops N crooks goes fast-- I'm sure I could win both halves relatively fast--- noose and deal breaker are easy to pass also (sans griefers)..

I'll try to make up a table or something with estimated times and a mission check sheet.

Here are my time estimates.

1. BDB II 8 minutes
2. Noose 4 minutes
3. Deal breaker 8 minutes
4. Turf war 10 minutes
5. Team Mafiya work 10 minutes
6. Team Car Jack city 10 minutes
7. Team death Match 10 minutes
8. Cops N Crooks about 6 minutes

Total for initial 4 mode would be about 66 minutes (+ set up time).

To do this for both sides on modes 4 to 8 (so both sides get trophy) would be an aditional 46 minutes (+ set up time) = 112 minutes.

Individual modes (2 player)
9. Race 1.5 minutes
10. GTA Race 1.5 minutes
11. Death Match 10 minutes
12. Mafiya work 10 minutes
13. Car Jack City 10 minutes

so about 33 minutes more for each player = 66 minutes

66 + 66 = 132 minutes (+ set up times).

For my host not getting the trophy plan-- this would be about 99 minutes (+ setup times)

If we did this for all players in all modes assuming 4 players...

66+46+33+33+33+33 =244 minutes (+ setup time) or just over 4 hours.

//edit//

Idea-- do you get sent to single player when you get kicked??? If not, then the 2 players in the initial mode can be kicked-- really just one player and then they can invite player #2 over-- however they would most likely not end up as a host in a new game-- might need to keep jumping games until you get an empty one, then invite player #2 into that game.... if this is the case then both sides can get it in one hour less time-- about 180 minutes or so.

As long as we can do 1 against 3 in all team modes, I'm willing to play the host/loser and go with my original plan-- and at a later date, have a couple people help get me started on getting the trophies-- but finishing on my own.

You have really thought about this a lot lol

Plan sounds good. Personally I'm happy to spend the time. Might motivate me to do wanted as I'll then have only that trophy left over.

I thought of it somewhat, and then clarified stuff as I wrote all that out.... I did try to get that trophy on my own and despite a 4 hour effort, didn't quite finish (3 games short-- team Car jack city, car jack city, & mafiya work is what I missed) -- if I wasn't about to fall asleep I would have pushed through-- guess I should have made a pot of coffee.

One thing about the "kick" method-- it won't be a private match-- I'm relatively certain you need to exit to single player to get that- which means intruders might mess up everything-- will need to be quick with the setup and the intruder kicks.

It would still take at least 46 minutes longer then the host/loser method--

It think that if we do this, we should do the host/loser method-- will be the fastest-- with time commitments and time differences, would be difficult to schedule a 3 hour block of time...

It is possible I can play at about 8:00 or 9 PM GMT next tuesday or wednesday

Either is good for me. Let's set it for Tuesday 6th January. You pick a time Spuds, either works well for me. Just thinking of the Aussies if they are interested, 9PM GMT might work better, bit more of a lie in.

As for the plan for that session? The one you posted above?

I think J-pap is GMT +10 so an early morning for him-- I work Mon & Tues night so that will be morning for me too (after I sleep all day)

I'm not sure yet I can play either of those days-- have to get a little closer to find out-- just throwing out the times to check availability-- I would not want to start later then 9 PM GMT those days.

Regarding my "plan" I'm still refining it-- want to see if we can do it with 3 player for all the "team" modes..

I did just mess around in multiplayer and you can start a new custom match when in multiplayer-- just can't do it from the "lobby"-- you have to be in a new game-- then turn on your phone and do it like you do in single player to set a custom (private match)-- when setting up the game, I set the number of players to "max".

If everyone does try to do it in one session (4 player) the host can get it too but it will add the 46 minute thing to the front end-- would end up being about 3 hour session (break down is below).

Break down would be as follows
Team coop missions 20 minutes
Team mode missions 46 minutes
Team mode missions for other "team" 46 minutes
--split into pairs--
33 minutes for each individual player mode for one player.
33 minutes for each individual player for 2nd player.

This would be a minimum of 178 minutes-- that is a signifcant time commitment-- I think we should forgo the 2nd team mode runs as long as we can do a 1 against 2 or 1 against 3 in the team modes- having a designated loser for team modes (I did not confirm this yet).

So a recap:

For 3 players (assuming we can do 1 against 2 in team modes)-- the loser can quit after the team modes (66 minute time commitment) and then the 2 winners can do the individual modes like described above another 66 minutes-- 112 minutes (or about 2 hours)

For 4 players (assuming we can do team modes 1 against 3 players)-- it would be the same except the Team "loser" would have to stay for a paired run through individual modes one time (another 33 minutes or so) with one of the winners (99 minute time commitment) while the 2 winners in the other game would do 2 runs each (66 minutes) so they each can win each mode-- 112 minutes (or about 2 hours).

I'll try and confirm at some point the 1 against 2 and 1 against 3 for all team modes before we finalize anything.

Happy newyear everyone-- Spuds is drinking his budlight waiting for his new year 3 1/2 hours out....

I'll join in to.

we are still trying to finalize stuff-- I do hope everyone is familiar with what to do in each game mode--

For the coop missions-- make sure we set difficulty to easy-- they don't seem any easier but you get 5 lives instead of 4 for medium or 3 for hard-- the money payout is less but we aren't worried about that-- for obvious reasons set time of day to midday, weather to clear, respawn distance to near, friendly fire OFF, set all timed games to 10 minutes... etc...

I still don't know if I can make it yet-- and it might be a few weeks till I get a chance to do this (other then late at night for me) which isn't time friendly to those in europe...

If you guys can get a game together without me, please do.... I was planning on being the "loser" anyway....

I'll try to verify the 1 against 2 or 3 tonight....

You guys mind giving me a quick post about what all this is? It looks to complicated to read myself. In any case I might join if I know what it is:tup:.

Thanks in advance.

We have been working on getting the multilplayer trophies-- cooperatively.... as they are pretty difficult to get otherwise-- most are a time issue-- you need a 4+ hour session to get some of them-- assuming everything goes right-as the multiplayer trophies that require multilple things need to be done in one gaming session.... my issue with getting 2 of them was not being able to find any "car jack city" and "team car jack city" games one night despite a 4+ hour effort--- so far the only one I needed "help with" was the win 20 different races one.

My long posts above were about setting a designated loser so a group can win the ones that would take all day otherwise (assuming you are good enough)... all the times were just to tabulate how long it would take to get the "win in all game mode" trophies so we we know how long we would have to be on if we make a "play date".

I would actually prefer we play as a team against others in a public game to win these-- getting enough players across multiple time zones as well as the extended time commitment for matches that we might lose has been an issue though... as well as some of us moving on to other games.

Oh....sounds like fun, I'll leave you guys to it.[/sarcasm]

I thought you were organising free roam or something *looks at title*. Alright, I'm not fussed about the trophy's so you guys carry on.

Ok... Spuds should be available almost all day 2 weeks from now (that weekend)-- kids are going to grandparents house-- wife is going to visit her sister who is having a baby tomorrow.

Also an update on the "fly the coop" trophy-- according to a thread on GTAforums -- they supposedly have changed this on PS3 so it does not have to be done in one sitting-- http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=388713 supposedly been "fixed" for about 3 weeks or so.... I don't know if this carries over to the other trophys (one sitting I mean)

Excellent to hear. That should make organising this a bit easier.

Good to hear about the fly the coop trophy.

2 weeks should give me some time to familiarise myself with the co-op missions.

regarding my availabilty tomorrow or wednesday-- it's not very likely now... Almost any time the weekend after next will work for me-- I may be off Friday, but definitely Sat and Sun--we can schedule multiple sessions if you guys want.... I'm going to try to win all modes again in multiple sessions and see if that triggers the trophy (if that multi session thing for coop carries over to everything)

Here are the "speed" walkthroughs for the coop missions... I do think we should save these for last but it does help to practice these-- practice your head shots to take down the bad guys faster-- they all have body armor.

Deal Breaker -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCAKTs8oyCk

Hangmans noose -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_mpG7it-Mc&NR=1
This is a 2:14 run that shows the people that stay behind rather then the ones that got the heli.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIG-ckDkVC0

BDB II -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nQww0cwX6w&feature=related

In addition to the above, there is a glitch you can use to get into the cargo hold alot faster/easier-- you will need to have at least one life left as you will need to blowyourself up with a grenade to exit see video here on how to do it... I have done this on PS3 and it works- the vid is of a xbox game...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwd0D1KVT7Q&annotation_id=annotation_787616&feature=iv

For the vids you will notice everything is nice and coordinated--- this is next to impossible in public matches without chat unless everyone knows exactly what to do.... chat will help if things don't go exactly as planned-- noose is easier in that there is less stuff to mess up-- I did get my time in a public match with me flying the heli and no chat... as long as nobody else tries to get a van to collect Kenny-- which just messes everything up-- when that occurs I just fly the heli and cover the other as they try to escape-- the time is out of the question if Kenny gets in a van.

If anyone wants to use a session to practice these-- we can do them with 2 player to get familiar with everything-- I've seen Jpap online alot when I'm playing... I just finished the game again--working on my gameplay trophies as well as 100%--

Ok-- a follow up on the multi session part of getting the MP trophies...

From this thread-- http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=388713

ok the co-op trophy is still under debate ...i did it in 1 cos its easy...but i can confirm and you may quote me verbatim ..multi win trophys ie 20 races , petrovic and team player i got in multiple sessions. however all games must have been won after around 15/12/08

If this is true, this shouldn't preclude anyone from getting these on their own-- as long as the session stats get recorded-- I will try to confirm these-- if anyone else can confirm this too please post up...

Assuming the above is true, I'm willing to help with the flying the coop one as those missions are tricky- and it helps to have others who know what they are doing...

Another followup... I played briefly tonight and was unable to get Cops & Crooks to start without at least 4 players-- I don't know if we could go 1 against 3 or we have to have at least 2 per team... I thought it worth mentioning as an amendment to the previous plan- not sure of any other game requireing 4 players.

I have started work on my teamplayer trophy-- I won a Team Mafiya work and Team deathmatch last night-- need cops n crooks, turfwar and Car Jack city still-- assuming the one session requirement isn't still there-- will let everyone know if I get this or not-- perhaps tonight.

//EDIT//

UPDATE-- I got the "teamplayer" trophy last night. I can CONFIRM that you can get this trophy across several Multiplayer sessions-- I got mine across at least 3 sessions spread out over a week... team car jack city won it for me last night-- I should not have won that session last night-- I was down by $1000, my partner dropped out so I was playing against 2 others with about a minute left in the game. I had camped out at the car drop off so all the other team had to do was stay away. He didn't, I shot him as he approached, took the car which had a drug bonus, and earned $1500 off the car with about 15 seconds left in the session to win by $500.

It stands to reason that the other Multiplayer trophies can now also be done over multiple sessions as well-- for the top of the midnight club trophy I'm relatively certain you need to now win 20 different races-- so if you do this, keep track of which ones you have won.

I am willing to help others get trophies still, however I don't think we need to be nearly as organized as what I proposed above-- each individual should keep track of what they need and we can set up a few game modes now and then to complete these as needed-- I'm reasonably good at each game mode so I'm sure I can help others get their team mode wins.

I should be available next weekend in the afternoons for me-- after about 9 pm GMT for sure-- earlier times are possible if I'm not working next weekend

Anybody up for this weekend... I'm off Fri & Sun... can can play pretty much any time.... On Saturday I can play after 9 pm GMT-- I play pretty late for some early risers in austrailia or the far east that want to play early in the day.

I'll be working on my trophies on my own--I'm keeping a list.

I did get another good noose time 2:15 however it is not in my stats or on the social club leaderboards-- it still has my best time as 2:45.
