You didn't finish either, so it doesn't really matter, does it? You stayed in pits most of the race, which I take as a DNF... there's a difference between standing still in the pits and actually trying to complete all of the laps.

Mike, how did you make those results?

I did finish. I was still on track. Just about 20 laps down

NOOOOOOOOO..... it's become an official quote... NOOOOOO

I was just wondering, how did you get the times? When I was about to write it down someone changed track and it became impossible to see them... oh, well, now we have got it though...

Oh, I take pictures of the results screen after the race with my smartphone.

HEey i just realized something........

The lap times we were doing in GT5 for monza are the same kinds of laps they are doing i n the ILMC round at Imola..

Pole their by Anthony davidson in the #7 peugeot was a 1.31.7. Pole on a dry Monza would have been something like that in GT5...... And in the wet 2nd practice session while it was raining they were lapping the 1.50's which is what we were lapping around as well...

So when will this be the first picture in the OP?

NEVER... LOL.. :D

And golfer: If you want the points for finishin 9th (without trying to finish), I suggest you ask BK what he thinks of it. Hockey Mike also got a DNF from me for doing the same trick at Indy. Idk what's right and what's wrong. I just think that if you stay in pits most of the race you are not "trying to finish the race within the time limit".

The more people keep quoting the picture, the more often it appears os keep quoting the picture!!!! That way bombe will become a superstar

also, bombe, in daytona last season I think mike was given the place for staying in the pits most of the race. And to be fair, I drove for 40mins which would of been 2/3 of the race. Aleit for me that would be closer to 1/4 if I was the leader

Yeah we should decide how to handle cars that spend most of the race in the pits.

Maybe we should look to how the real Le Mans regs classify cars that spend a huge amount of time in the pits, but are running at the end.

Ohhh why did we increase the season length?!!!! If it was the same as the last two seasons I'd be champion by now :grumpy:

*Just joking lol*

I was actually one of the guys strongly campaigning for a longer season :D

Went to the hospital to see my dad, so missed this one. Came back to see the epic last few laps though. Good job guys, wish I could've joined.

Think I campaigned for it too, everyone knows last season was screwed by the Audies. I didn't deserve to win, but won because of Schumi's disconnect at - MONZA - a race which I won last season, lol. No rain back then.

Another way to look at who was best could be to make an avg. points-stat :) How many points in average when started the race - but it shouldn't decide anything.

Yeah this has been a much closer season so far. With no really out of this world car or driver it has made a fight for win possible for everyone. And from a personal point of view I must say I'm driving the best I've ever driven in this league so far. More speed and consistency :)

EDIT: 500th post XD

Looks like Senna pulled a mark webber at our 3rd from last race of the season and ended up without the championship lead. But if I remember correctly, the person leading into round 2 then lost the title. I would be worried if I were you. Your doing exactly what Alonso did

IRL you have to complete 75% of the laps that the leader covered and cross the line within 6 minutes of the car that won, regardless of what lap you are on. Well, those are the regs at Le Mans. At Nurburgring it is the same but 8 minutes

I didn't lead in to round 2 though :irked:

LMAO. This is going on the main page when I get back online with my pc. .

By the way, awesome race today. The rain really makes this game special IMO. Jamman and I probably have the most respectful relationship on track in the series- every time I'm around him the racing is clean and hard, like it should be. Mu was so fast on old tires I was floored.

I'm super excited for Laguna Seca and especially La Sarthe. I hope La Sarthe is dry for half the race and wet for half, it would be a true test of what car/driver tandem is the best.

Also, I'm definitely switching back to Peugeot for next season, the Minolta just doesn't have the long run tire wear I feel like I need to be truly competitive for wins.

I think I'm going back to my audi R8 '05 next season 👍

I think it'll be a huge brawl to get the Peugeots again. And I would also like to join those saying that the Bentley is a bit faster than all the others with these regs... but let's put that discussion on hold for now.
--

Personally, I would love a Pesty Pesky Team with someone, but they all seem to be too weird machines to drive around a track consistently. But my biggets wish would be to jump in the original Audi again, see if we could find some proper regs for that car :)

Btw, BK: Are you and CJ teammates or should I just leave it as it is with you and only you.. it would make sense to add him to the SUPER 8 team.

I remember nobody wanted to touch the bentley before. I only drove it at first because it was the unloved ugly duckling.

I'm thinking about next season either keeping this HP or going back to the 900+ HP. With this new strange tire wear and higher hp using more fuel we may see 3-4 stop pit strategies for 1 hour races

Wow season 4 talk already. The races go by fast. I'm all for more power and more pit stops. Think I'll be going for the usual GT-one. I don't think it's neccerserily the best but it's a great all rounder. It's quick, it's good on tyres, on of the fastest in a straight line and as we found out yesterday it's not as bad in the rain as everyone made out. In fact it's quite good for me, even if Blaze may disagree :)

Next time it rains I'll remember to put TC on 4... then we won't get anymore pics like the one in the OP...

My car is the best on both fuel and tyres. Maybe tyres is just me though. I have chosen what I think will be my car for next season but lets finish this season and wait for the new regs. I think my car could be a killer.

Then I won't be participating, lol... :D

Btw, golfer, I completed more laps than you... does it mean I should get points too? :sly:

Next time it rains use a DS3. DS3 1-2-3 :sly:

Maybe I will, but I'm getting pretty rusty with the DS3..

Btw, were you the one asking about Blaze's tyres during the race? Cuz I had no idea who was asking :)
