What I meant was that in S4 the first 2 or 3 posts were rarely updated. Like anything beyond round 3 wasn't ever linked. The rounds 4-6 standings weren't, nor were the race times.

I'm just recommending that those type of posts get updated more frequently than in S4.

That will be my fault..? Besides, we DIDN'T get any pics, which means I can blame golfer and Jamman - hommes, lol

If we decide on a time to race it will be that time every week, so really, info isn't that required. If there is no race or another host we would find out in time.

And guys, why are we arguing about wether the GT-ONE, Bentley and Audi R8 '05 should get ballast when we can just drive less desireable LMP cars and we won't be arguing over ballast etc.

The bentley & Audi both lose their edge at higher HP because they lose straight line speed.

The 908 use to be the best car in the series , now nobody wants it. The V12 is not bad either, & the 905 is also very good.

Considering the BMW and 905 are both slower than the other cars, it isn't really very fair. How are you going to explain to the drivers in them that they have to drive slow cars because they didn't have any spaces in the other cars?

I think that AMFs idea is the best now. Have 3 LMP cars, 2 GT cars and a safety car

Join the Super GT series then They have 2 divisions (right?).

Considering the BMW and 905 are both slower than the other cars, it isn't really very fair. How are you going to explain to the drivers in them that they have to drive slow cars because they didn't have any spaces in the other cars?

The BMW isn't bad at all. And if the 905 is as slow as you say, then don't use it I remember a guy called Ayrton_Senna who won a race in it against GT-ONEs and Bentleys.

Mike I agree that for a race summary, that video type is far better but you can't match the excitement of a race edit, F1.com style. They are world beaters. Its just that start thing that I think would be cool in our videos. I prefer race edits. Much more exciting and stuff with the music

BK, you have to nail down the rules and HP for Season 5 before passing around an interest list of cars.

And you guys can quit suggesting using lower classes and Golfer's perpetual safety car fetish, because neither will ever happen in this series.

Racing against 5 or 6 other cars in your own class is not entertaining. That is early online console racing days, boring BS.

Mike, what about my idea of using the balanced out LMP cars rather than using LMP cars which are a heavily debated over in regards to wether they have an advantage over the rest of the field. Can someone please explain what is so bad about the series if we don't have the Audi R8 '05, the GT-ONE and the Bentley? It is still an LMP series, only difference is that the cars are completely balanced rather than everyone complains about which car is too fast.

But Mike, you are right, BK, you can't get people to put down what car they will drive if you haven't announced regulations. What happens if you sign up in a car that then ends up massively uncompetitive? You would have to let them switch.

I don't feel we should throw up our hands and quit and disallow some LMP cars due to being too lazy to balance them. My belief is that if you want to run a spec series with even cars, go do it somewhere else. Not all LMP cars are equal in real life and I am fine with that.

We make way too big a fuss about car selection in this thread, to the point of whinging and whining. If I had my way, every driver would list what eligible cars they had in their garage, and we would be doing a random draft to determine car choice. End of story.

Mid-season and you get lazy and discouraged that your car seems a little slower on the straights on some of the tracks? **** you, you're the same kind of driver who quits a league race 10 laps in because you didn't practice and you are off the pace. No patience for leeches like that in an online racing league. You're in to compete or you're out. I'm sure there's a spec Mazda Demio weekly meet for you somewhere out there in online GT5.

No, that's not the solution; it's giving into whining and whinging and that's not how you manage a league.

People will always have their preference and influences as far as what cars are better or worse. Sometimes it's a placebo, sometimes it's not.

You try to balance a bit, to nudge things in the right direction, and that's all you can do as a league organizer. Those people can F off and go complain somewhere else.

If you remove those cars, another 3 cars become the fastest and are fought over.

We're fighting over tenths in quali laps... Its not make or break depending on the car.
