This season could be amazing if we have the kind of competition we had today + the rest of the field....

I mean, I won 3 races and the Championship last season, and I won zero races today, everyone is so fast. Here's my honest suggestions for S5, no trolling, no being pissed or biased, this is my honest opinion.

700 HP even.

Bentley at +60 kg.
Audi at +15 kg.
GT One drivers asked to set Max HP to 695.

If everyone does that, and is honest, we should have strong competition at 700 HP between the Speed 8, R8, GT1, BMW, 908, and 787.
 
I still don't understand the + 15kg considering I went 2 tenths faster at Indy in a Speed 8 to an Audi (both stock) and that the Speed 8 is faster around Spa too. Agree with the GT-One though, its top speed is immense. It got away from me at Spa despite slipstreaming it (Audi). Also, a higher HP limit would hurt the Audi the most I think.

Onwards to S5. I can see there most likely being a big fight with the championship and the race wins themselves. Would be epic if there was another me v.s Seb at SSR5 but with more people.

A'ight, a little testing with 760bhp with "randomly selected" cars. I don't want to reveal (I didn't write exact nmbers, just 58.x, 59.x etc) my specific times, but I have categorized them.

1. GT-ONE (750bhp) (tried to test out Jake's idea, kind of, but it wasn't that effective in this test) (I'm still voting for ballast here, but I'm not demanding at all)

2. Bentley (+60kg)
3. 787B
+0.5
4. Audi R8 (note: bad setup. Yep, you guessed it, it's my own crappy setup.)
5. BMW (my own setup and I definately think it can get better)

6. MINOLTA (Not bad at all, but it'll never get faster than the cars above it)

No, that's not the solution; it's giving into whining and whinging and that's not how you manage a league.

People will always have their preference and influences as far as what cars are better or worse. Sometimes it's a placebo, sometimes it's not.

You try to balance a bit, to nudge things in the right direction, and that's all you can do as a league organizer. Those people can F off and go complain somewhere else.

Because you have to have cars within a reasonable performance range of each other.

The poll is a survey, not a binding decision as to when the races will start each weekend.
 
I always felt slow in the 787. Never went in harmony with it. I know I wasn't slow but I hated having to wrestle it about. I guess that the 787 tends to require a more agressive approach.

I think we should do a little test where all the cars are running their maximum possible BHP. Just to see if the cars that handle poorly get equaled out with their much higher BHP. Just a theory. Although worth a good shot. You could probably try a 1000BHP limit since the most wanted cars only reach about 950 while the unwanted cars reach nearer to 1100 BHP so it could all get balanced out. Plus it would be very very fast.
 
I have a lobby open right now. Race start in one hour providing everyone is there. Spa. 29 +1 laps

Just testing my theory on unlimited BHP right now.
 
Why hour race? We should test using a few 8-12 lap races to see which hp could be the bestest

EDIT: Making a YT channel for the series to get some exposure or whatever, it'd have track laps, race edits, etc. I was thinking GTPLMPSeries for the username...Any ideas?

After testing the Audi out at +30 kg, it seems to be the perfect amount, as the speed is slightly pushed back, but the handling characteristics are not hampered much if at all.
