Hate to do it but I've got to step out of the races, just got a new job, not going to be able to make it on time with the work hours. Good luck to all. Hope to make it to the next season though.

Wardez: Thanks for the drivers list, looks good. If you can shrink it down just a little, then make one for Group B that would be awesome. Double check the first post as I have had a couple people drop out.

I have updated the first post with the current points standings (in no particular order) and made a couple driver changes.

Did you have a qualifying time? Can't remember.

Here's some photos from Wednesday night.

R1600, I just saw the times for practice and qualifying this Sunday night. Is it possible to move the schedule back an hour? My son goes to bed right at 7:00, so I wouldn't get any practice and would potentially miss a good segment of qualifying.

I hate to be a pest, but I was just curious how firm the schedule was.

Thanks for considering!

Great racing tonight! :gtpflag:

Some epic nose to tail action, it was a big Miats [sic] freight train out there 👍

There were a few bumps and bruises out there as to be expected in a spec race series, but overall the driving was pretty clean.

...speaking of bumps, sorry again EL_ZISSOU for bumping you out on the last lap. :guilty: I tried to avoid the contact after you got a bit loose in front of me, but I think I overestimated the grip of my tires after 29 laps and tagged your rear quarter.

Congrats to SAMHAIN85 on the win, 👍 it was well deserved after you battled back to catch me and Turbo in the closing laps.

It's alright man, I know you didn't mean to end my race. These Miats sure do make for some close battles :)

I've spoken up about this concern, but only on deaf ears... or eyes I suppose.
It's nice, and kind of ironic, the practice races are 2 hours later than the real races.

About our incident last night: I was dive bombed, again, and we were three wide coming out of the turn where there was enugh room for two. After last night I am going to race everyone else like they have been racing me. :)

If it isn't too late to be in for Sunday, I'm in. Just found this thread.

LOL....Turbo, is that me spinning out in front of you on that second pic? I was looking at the pictures thinking, there probably wasn't any of my car, then I noticed that. LOL

thanks Egg, another fun race in the books between all of us. At one point EL_ZISSOU and I got together just before the short tunnel, we both lost a little time, but it was enough for you and Turbo to pull away from us, and out of the draft. EL_ZISSOU and I kept battling, and I realized neither one of us had a shot at winning if we kept that up. So I followed him for a good 10 laps, pushing him up the long straightaway trying to catch you two. Eventually we caught up. Sorry about scratches on your bumper ZISSOU, I'm sure it'll buff out! : ) And sorry to hear about the tangle up you and Egg had, Egg is one of the cleanest drivers in the series, I know it wasnt intentional.

I'm not really one to judge, but I try to avoid going side by side in turns as much as possible, especially in the early going. I know I'm capable of catching right back up with the draft, so lifting early and letting someone pass me doesnt bother me one bit. I know there was an incident really early into the race, someone got a little over zealous. We gotta keep in mind its a 30 lapper, you cant win in the early going, only lose. I haven't had a chance to race super close with everyone so far, I've done most of my battling with Egg and Turbo, those guys WILL give you room I can guarantee that.

I moved it up because I had some over seas guys that were concerned about it being so late for them. This was the best possible solution I could come up with to accommodate everyone.

Not adding anyone at this time. :)

Yeah, that's you. What you don't see is how I missed you by mere inches as you spun across the track. :D

Bummer about the schedule, I understand your reasoning with so many people trying to compete in different time zones. It looks like I'll have to find some magic to get up to pace quickly....or work out something with my wife to put the Little Man in bed by herself. :)

Happy New Year everyone!

Uh oh.... he's aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!

Sweet handle dropping!

*note- since I won't beat any of your times in GTAcademy, I'll never let down the .010 I beat you in the qualifier!

BTW- I got TeamAppalachia handle on youtube, I just haven't put any vids on there yet :)

Turbo, I made a new car because of the clutch issue. I didn't have another turquoise chip so I have changed my colors to their final version of Black Eyed Purple/Isotope Green.

I'll be setting up a practice room in a few minutes. Want to make sure my connection is up to par for hosting the Group A race tomorrow. Anyone is welcome to join as long as there is room.

I'll join you for a bit 👍

I just ran some practice laps on Suzuka East in practice mode, but the handling is different online so it'd be good to check my settings in an online room.

So, if I may be bold, what are people getting in practice at Suzuka East?

And, may I say for not the first or last time, I hate Hermann Tilke. East is not so bad, but there is absolutely no good line (or reference point) for the last turn... just like the whole back half of the full course. I hate schoolboy dirty tricks and that's all Tilke has.

I'm making dinner for the fam right now but I'll try to hop on after if you're still on.

Turbo, what's the situation for tomorrow B class? Is there someone who is already designated as the host?

I got disconnected, guys. I'm heading out to get some food. Nice drivin' yall!

And who do I add for B class host?

EDIT:::

Nvm. Saw the first post. lol

I was getting consistently around 58.9 in practice mode earlier today, but I was struggling to get around 59.2's in Turbo's online room. Only managed one lap in the 58's online.

I know what you mean about the last turn, but I'm not sure what Hermann Tilke has to do with it; maybe you can enlighten us further?
