I've found that connection issues are hit or miss. Someone from Japan was playing with us and there weren't too many issues that I noticed.

I can't help but think how much cooler this series would be if we had a hard top option in GT5 and a livery editor. :(

Just do like me: I'm very happy about all we did (and could do) together to do this nice online racing event on GT5, and only within a few days with a great idea from you !

I'm just thinking about the others cup races we could do: Beetle, Lupo, etc. But that will be in a certain time, considering the Miatas are fantastic cars to race.

I will create a room every day (on week days only) starting tomorrow at 1PM (New york time) until 3PM.
Name of the room will be GTP Spec Miata Practice.

It will be perfect if the racers comply with all the rules specified in this thread.

It will include unofficial races too... for some fun ! :)

I'm thinking the earliest we will start official races is on the 19th. That gives me time to get my internet set up at home, an official points system established, and everyone time to do some pre-season testing. 👍

Edit: We have 16 Drivers. So, anyone from here on out will be listed as being in a possible second room, if someone wants to step forward and take charge of that room.

Really? It's like 2 or 3 cars from the beginning. There are two of them. An '89, and a '91.

Edit: Yes...Eunos Roadster. :D
 
I'll possibly hold night time rooms limited to 10 cars so there won't be too serious of connection issues. If I must I'll bump up the driver limit to over 10 but I won't do races and it'll specifically be a test and tune free run.

Feel free to do what you want... I am not the big boss here :)

I just want everybody to have fun online... so I invite all of you anytime I create one by publicizing it in this thread.


In my case, before creating a new room, I check if there is another one already opened... This seems to be a very popular event now (we were today constantly at least six people in & out for 2 hours).

And when you create one, dont forget to put a weight (8??kg), tires (sport soft) and hp (130hp) limit .

I'm going to Europe on the 16th of december. I'll come back on the 3rd of january.
So you can remove me from the list for the first races. BUT I want to continue to do practice room with you guys, and non official races too until the 16th. I have so much fun...

By the same time you can replace me by Oops2low.

If there is more people, I will join a second room at the beginning of 2011.
 
I guess I was too slow at getting my name in here.

Add me to to wave #2 or as an alternate or whatever. I mainly just want to race against similar cars.

For those that are hosting open practice lobbies, can you include the room number? The lobbies displayed are a random selection, so we might not be able to just find them in the list.

Edit: I just created a room titled "GTP spec Miata's only", room number is 1472-6118-4130-9222-6075. I'll be on for the next couple of hours, unless nobody shows up :)
