For anyone debating picking up an Eye, I can vouch for it actually being a sweet little webcam, gaming aside :p

So ya, the PS3 eye, its great! But it only works in Arcade mode and then only in Time Trial. In Arcade Races it doesnt work either... wonder why, hope PD gives us a patch for using it in Career mode aswell.

Chris, in your latest online race video, I noticed that the other cars had some really odd, twitching-movement. Do you suppose it was an online-lag issue?

i believe so.

Cause i had 2 races with a friend of mine and sometimes he had lags...

Head tracking also works in Arcade Snow and Dirt races, but not in the GT Rally under Special Events.

I tried a regular arcade race at la sarthe in the rain with the Super GT Nissan and it didnt work...

Nice race earlier, although i was stuck in the back with a slow car :D Getting use to the pyshics, watch out! PSeye also coming my way

Hey Chris, I noticed that in one of your online videos you said you didn't know how to save an online replay or upload it to Youtube. Have you figured this out yet? Because if not, I can tell you what to do, for both saving it and probably uploading it too. :)

But, future patch for this yeap??
:nervous:

I hope so!!

i think i did. You have to save your replay then export it, then onto USB then youtube, right?

Hi Chris, just wanted to say thanks for the videos, I am loving them. :)
I am new to the forums, although I originally had GT1 and 2 for PS1.
I know my wife has bought me gt5! I have seen the box but have to wait until Christmas as it is a gift!! It's killing me!!
Your videos will ease the waiting!!
Would you recommend picking up a wheel? Was looking at the DF GT.
If you or anyone else would like to add me on PSN for some clean, fun online racing I would be grateful, my PSN is dig5dad. I will not be able to keep up with you I think!
Well thanks again, can't wait to start GT life!!

Am up for the challenege sign me up! I already nabbed me a RUF BTR '86 and having fun sideways, still waiting for the yellow bird. Thanks for the vid, we requested this time ago.

See you soon, id just grab it now and reseal it :D If you're tightesh on budget, the DFGT is great, it is made for this game specifically, or you can do what I did and just keep an eye out for G27 deals online. Good luck

I hope so!!

RUF YELLOW BIRD DRIFT NOW ONLINE

Chris

That's what I'm thinking, I know you export it but I'm not totally sure if that makes it Youtube worthy. I think it still may be just a replay for GT only.

Very nice video with the yellowbird Chris, awesome, now go do it honour on the green hell itself. :)👍

Where do we need to sign in for the yellowbird comp. yr talking about?

Some nice ideas flowing there, i like it!

Whoa, whoa, whoa... that's a triple whoa for the Yellowbird video.

BTW, thats one helluva nice standard car :D And I bet its more fun than some premiums.

Nice drifting with the yellow bird, but I gotta point out that you were revving that Renault WAY too hard. Theres no torque that high up in the rev range. Shift a bit earlier and keep the turbo on boost and surging through the mid range. Your lap times will drop. :)

Next you should try a Viper with TCR and ABS Off it`s also only 90000 credits :D

And what I don`t like about the game is the error message always get when wanting to join a online race where the game tells me I can`t join that session at the moment and should try again later.

Hey dad!

first of all, awesome wife you got there!!! but if i knew that my gf/wife had GT5 for me as a present i'd already be playing it, then rerap it and act surprised :sly:

So, regarding the wheel, the DFGT is a great entry into the GT series, if you're looking though at some more professional, then the G25/G27 is your next step or head over to Fanatec and check out their GT3 RS V2 clubsport wheel.

thanks man  yea the RUF looks incredible good for a std car, i just hope PD give's use at least one RUF as a premium in the future...

Hey Chris, great vid as always. You're getting pretty natural at this whole commentary-thing... haha.

Just to confirm, there isn't any "physics setting", instead its just 3 different "steering types" right (amateur, pro, sim)? I haven't been able to find any physics setting, so I just wanted to make sure. Also, noticed any differences in the 3 steering types?

Cheers.

hey man,

thanks, i try

no, GT5 doesnt have a physics setup like we had in GT5P. There's only Pro physics.
In the steering wheel setup, you can choose from the 3. i haven't tried the others, since i always go for pure realism in the game.

Chris, how about commentary for your VLN videos? ;)

great idea actually, will think about it and upload it !! will give ya the credit  :D

Chris

Chris my good man, how about you upload a video with an idiots guide to drifting?

I've just bought the Yellow Bird and I can barely keep it on the road, it just keeps on spinning out on me, you can sure make that thing sing man, props to ya!

I'm gonna keep practising, looks like yet another all-nighter playin GT5 for me.... :)
