With the online lag, I wonder if, when the other racers watch their replay, do they see your car jumping/twitching around? Just curious.

they wouldn't see it or know that they're lagging. The lag kills the latest video quite a bit, seem like everyone there lagged.
 
Quick question. In one of the videos Chris shows us the GTTV programs.
Is there something I'm missing to get the Best Motoring program? I have the Gran Turismo and the Super GT programs.
Is it a region only service? I'm in the US.

True, but for my events, im not doing online races!

My competition takes place in arcade mode, and your fastest lap has to be submitted in my thread. (via youtube)

Ah I see. But if you should chance your mind: in online mode you can implement all the regulations you want AND still keep track of everyone's best lap as long as you are a dedicated host. The only problem is the max number of players, which is 16 ofcourse. And that you can't play yourself while you're hosting the room. But it would add a touch of realism since everybody only has a limited amount of time to set their laps :)

But now that I'm writing this, I realise you probably know all these things already :D
 
Great wet-lap there, beating the gold by 13 seconds!? Wow.

Incredible how you kept throttle wide-open at a few turns when you were sliding... I always freak-out and lift. Looks like all that real-life experience has been great preparation for your GT runs! :lol:

We celebrate on the 25th, big family lunch.

Also, how accurate does GT5's night-time Ring look compared to the real Ring at night? Pitch black! Can't see a damn thing! :scared:

And i'd love to race you sometime. I haven't got GT5 yet, but when I do, i'll need someone to help me get to know it. I've had all GT games before, but i'll need to get to know some of the new features, and online. And someone to trade cars with? :D
 
Wow! You make it look very easy on the AMG special event, even you have bumped into slow cars, but 13sec faster that's insane 👍

in the wet you have to drive very smooth. While driving it may not seem quick... but one you complete a lap you realise WOW, that was fast :sly:

I've seen people take the curb you were talking about. And with the car you're using, I wouldn't be surprised if it could run up on that curb, given the size of the sidewalls of the tires. It's not a race car so it isn't low-profile. They may not run UP on it, but i've watched plenty of VLN races to know that corner is taken on the inside by faster cars, and they run along it. Maybe not OVER it, but on it.

of course, depending on which car you are using. and true, if you got a car with that big amount of sidewall and its even a road car, then yes, but the Porsche GT3 RSR's or R8LMS's dont take these curbs because it would unbalance the car in such a dramatic way

I just have it know since like more then 2 years and im looking for another wheel.
Infact, im uploading a new video as im speaking (M3 at 'Ring) and there im talking about the new thrustmaster 500 official GT5 wheel which i know want for Xmas :lol:

Any chance you could upload exported saved replays from GT5 aswell - it would be cool to watch them in top quality and from whatever camera positions we want etc.

You could also use exported replays to verify the winner's time of your RUF competition as there's no way anyone could fiddle it then.

Thanks, i also hope that i get the Thrustmaster, its just that my gf already ordered the Fanatec GT3RS V2 CSP edition, and you can cancel an order from fanatec... which is super stupid in my opinion...

i tried that already, but unfortunately you cant. Xmas is coming, so hopefully my HD PVR is coming as well, so from next year on, there will be proper top notch HD gameplay videos + commentary :D

I never paid much attention to the instructions for the wet laps of the AMG thingy, I noticed they mentioned "middle,middle,middle" as opposed to 'out,in,out" but to be honest I didn't notice much difference with the challenge.

Then I had a really wet race at Monza in a Super GT Nissan GT-R, WOW !

You can really feel it squirm under braking if you stay on the racing line, and alot more grip off the racing line, felt great, is it much like that in real life?

I've heard the commentators on the F1 mention it, but never really paid much attention to them to be honest.
