Sooo... are you going to answer the question as to how you are so fast in a straight line? Best I can manage top speed is 242mph which is good for 18.1XX T3 and that's it. You're half a second quicker.... how is that possible?

Nice splits there Jonas 👍 I'm relying heavily on my Tertre Rouge it would seem. :sly:

(Thanks CLS, sorry, don't know your first name). 👍

Dominic :)

A little faster

T1: 29.499
T2: 26.924
T3: 18.261
T4: 19.380
T5: 26.819

Thanks to Chris for his tune, made little changes so I can use it on my DS3, but it works well. 👍

New splits thanks to CSL's tune (Thanks a bunch man 👍). Definitely gets me through the corners quicker but throttle control with this bad boy using a DS3 is quite frustrating!

T1 - 28.674
T2 - 27.161
T3 - 18.079
T4 - 19.115
T5 - 26.718

T1 - 28.739
T2 - 26.926
T3 - 18.076
T4 - 18.766
T5 - 26.566

To get the best possible T3 split you need to lengthen 5th so you're right at peak power when you reach top speed. I'm at 7000 rpm exactly at the T3 split and top out at 396 km/h (246? mph). My current "max speed" in the tuning window reads 465 km/h. This sacrifices acceleration slightly in T2 and T5 but I think it's worth it...

Although he might just be running lower aero ;)

Impressive splits 👍 What tune are you using to be able to gain a second on the straight yet still beat my best in T1 :scared: :dunce:

Dominic :)

My tune is a compromise of handling and max speed for pure acceleration.

I tested the car's max speed first and got it to 414 km/h .

This. 👍

At 414 km/h the T3 was closer to 16.xxx seconds. :mischievous:

If you're able to do that sort of T1 and gain over half a second on the straight, then maybe low downforce is the way to go. Care to share your downforce/gear ratios? :P

Just saw your post about having a bout of gastro Jon - I've been there; you have my sympathies mate. Hope you're feeling better and enjoy your caSarthis :sly:

:scared: You, sir, are mental 👍

Great splits there Jonas - truly an alien have you become, hmmmm. :P

Revised tune to compromise between traction/grip/acceleration/top speed:

Aero
60/82

Suspension
10/-15
14.2/15.1
9/9
8/8
6/7
3.0/1.0
0.00/-0.16

LSD
7/10/5

Brakes
4/6
ABS 9

Gears
Set Max Speed to 211mph
Then adjust Final to 3000
Adjust individual gears to:
1st 2752
2nd 1796
3rd 1328
4th 1017
5th 0790

Now tops out at 245mph but still grip and acceleration enough to banzai the high speed curves.

Lost a bit in sectors 1, 2 and 5 but blitzed Porsche curves this time.

28.279
26.419
17.939
18.780
26.183

Gonna try a low downforce setup and see if I end up in the trees...

What are you doing with downforce, then? (in general).

Tried lower downforce.... car is useless everywhere and the top-speed gain is not worth the loss of grip. I have no idea how or what Max is doing to get that kind of top speed and still maintain some grip. :dunce: :nervous:

I've lost the plot with it now so taking a day or two off. Good luck all 👍

Strange, my live monitor time is 1 second slower than my saved replay time.

A shame because I really wanted to do this event.

I'm running 50/85 DF , super short gears/stretched. Topping out at 403 km/h .

If you want to try it yourself , set downforce to min/max and suspension values to lowest possible , ride height max/min.
Then set the gears so that you are doing 410 km/h (~254MPH) at 5th gear/~7000 rpm.

Just testing. :dopey:
This is one of the few tracks where downforce is not in sutch a big role as normally.
No tight corners , hairpins and sutch.

The question is , can less downforce outrun max downforce.

By the way , thanks for the clarification on the exeption to the white line rule.
And thank for all the hard work you do to provide the pictures for all corners , Kevin. 👍

Those are the right words to describe it , there is some grip.
Oh right , call me Pekka.

New splits:

28.600
26.480
17.654
18.783
26.120

T1: 30.232
t2: 28.035
t3: 17.813
t4: 19.078
t5: 27.060

Edit: My tune will do 255 with minimumun downforce front and rear and of course I have to adjust the transmission top speed up. Im more interested in how you got a car to corner so awesome that goes so fast Max...but dont give out many more tune secrets, you got a shot at the overall win it looks like not just the D2 podium.

Edit again: lol yeah I can do 256 with my tune with full downforce on the rear and minimum on the front but I cant make that top speed right after the T3 checkpoint. The car wont turn at all. hahaha

Starting to look good after the first two sectors.

A shame because I really wanted to do this event.

If you are looking at the time shown at the top right(ish) of the screen saying 'Best Lap' this will be the time of your previous best lap from that session, if you view the replay in live timing mode and add all your sector times together it should give you the same time as your replay is showing in the title. You just have to be quick to note your final sector time as the replay finishes soooo quick!! Hope this helps 👍

Crossing the line at around 225km/h - difficult to tell though as the car accelerates so damn quick

Since the update it pauses for me at the line for 0.5 frequently, and every time with any replay on any combo using a previously saved replay.
Doesn't always do it if it's a fresh replay though, only sometimes then.

I think the best I've gotten was 142, but usually 139-140.

Track boundary question again I'm afraid. Can I cross the white line with the left side tyres? Note that the picture is at the kink after Tertre Rouge...

EDIT: just ran a 28.15x in T1 and then 🤬 up Tertre Rouge, AGAIN!!! :ouch:

Mine seems to pause a lot, and has been ever since I started doing time trials with the TVR at London which I think was week 24? I think my PS3 is riddled with Dust which must be affecting performance quite a bit. I haven't crossed the line at more than 140 here, but usually do it at 139mph. I feel I could probably cut the kerb a little more and maybe my gearing has something to do with it too.

My problem is though, i'm busy today and i'm going back to uni from tomorrow and don't have space to take my wheel/ps3/tv right away so I can't continue. My time is a good second off my possible best with my best sectors, and even that is half a second from the leader by T5, so I won't be submitting. Shame, this is one of the most fun weeks i've done, and theres still plenty more time to come. Good luck to everyone 👍

I'll answer your question with a question -

Does that look like a solid white track boundary line to you? ;)

And how do they expect you to read that sign at ~240 MPH?

Seriously, the red stuff is not track. And don't hit the wall. But don't worry about the line. That leaves you wtih about 6 inches of wiggle room there, so if it was me, I would just NOT try apexing that close there.
