Alright guys. Id be more that up for this, after IMO binned his perfect series and CAS binned his. I understand about the GTP Directory, and sometime on sunday I'll get to work submitting my time. Had a quick read about it, I'll probably be in the lowest league.

P.S. Can't be to certain yet but I might skip monaco. It's a DFGT Killer I tell thee! And I see that someone will be broadcasting Live video of the events. Cool Stuff. I used to broadcast IMO's series. May I ask would you be broadcasting on Twitch tv or somewhere else. I have a small following that used to love watching me race so It's possible I might be able to get them to raid the show.

Gazzi. You are now set to join now, congratz on finishing the WRS qualifier and getting your provisional division. If you want to skip Monaco that's fine. The other option is to lengthen the gears and turn it into a 6 speed. A lot less shifting. :sly: It's also a T500 paddle shifter killer, but I'm going to do it anyway.

ok then i'll try gettiing a new account so i can do this race(s)

DrAug, still waiting for your qualifier to come in... you still have time... if you can get it submitted by early next week you should be good.

@All... I'll be hosting another practice session tomorrow... not sure on the time, but around 19:00 GMT most likely. No public lounge this time, but in GTP_3D3_B.

Lol, I can only guess what happened by making it a public lobby

I've registered as reserve for qualifying and the main event.

Issue is that I don't know my schedule quite yet for that weekend. I know I have a couple things going on, but not sure yet of days/times. I think best case is probably to miss qualifying and make the GP.

I have a real life race the weekend of Germany. A 36 hour enduro, to be precise.

And Great American Beer Festival is the weekend of the Japanese GP.

Looks like Belgium and Italy are pretty sure bets for me, though. :)

Nah I should be able to join Monaco. I'll add the three musketeers now (GTP_3D3Racing | GTP_3D3_A | GTP_3D3_B) and when you lot have another practice, and I see you've posted here I'll join. Otherwise I'll practice on my regular ID in a public room.

Nice to see you have joined the registry, you were in Immortal's series?

Gooners and I were planning on meeting in GTP_3D3_B today around 19:00 GMT for at least an hour, maybe two depending. I'll have you on the lounge friends lists shortly so you can join.

EDIT: Your FR are accepted and hopefully see you in the "B" lounge later.

Ive signed up for the race and the qualificatiob

You are welcome to join us, but you'll have to join the official GTP_Registry first otherwise our system will not recognize you. See the steps below. Step 1 will take a bit of time, but 2-5 just a few minutes:

  1. Join the Official GTP_Registry
    • If you are not listed in the official registry you must submit your qualifier before proceeding to step 2.
    • See the GTP_Registry Qualifier - GT5 for complete instructions on how to run and submit your registry qualifier.
    • Once your registry qualifier is submitted and processed you be listed in the registry with a division and handicap and you can proceed to step 2.
  2. Fill out the 3D3 Racing Online Driver Database Entry Form
  3. Send a PSN friend request from your GTP tag PSN account to each of our private lounge accounts: GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A, GTP_3D3_B
  4. Review the GTP OLR Rules & Guidelines
  5. Sign up for this event using the event registration form and using your new GTP_ tag PSN ID.

There is still time to put a decent effort into the WRS qualifier and still have time to make this event.

Finally set up the wheel and started practising. Also found out that I am good to go next weekend, so I've now confirmed my entry :)

So far I've managed a 1'10.9 on racing hards, bought the car only today so it's not fully broken in yet.

Nice. You should join us for practice today. I've only managed a 1'11.1 on racing hard tires  Can't manage to get into the 10s even though my splits say I should be there!

I'm competitive in T1 and T3, but getting destroyed in T2. HELP!!!

I just set a 1'09.577 with the racing hards, but then I remembered I was running with fuel and tyre wear turned off, which probably gave me a big advantage. As if I could actually go four tenths faster than everybody else... it's a lovely thought, though. :P

I had one bump coming out of the casino in that lap, so it wasn't perfectly clean anyway.

I'm in the b lounge (GTP_3D3_B) if anyone wants to join. I think gooners is joining in about 30 minutes, but i need extra practice. :sly:

Don't forget, for all the latest guys to sign up (and still quite a few of the earlier signups ;)), you can submit some information about yourself for added epicness for the broadcast.

Filling out the form is completely optional. You can skip the entire form, fill out just a few questions or inundate him with information... that's up to you! Just remember by submitting this information you are giving express permission for it to be used during the broadcast, during highlight video production and/or written race reports.

Also feel free to fill in some information now and resubmit the form with additional information later.

Hey Loris,

Hopefully I can walk you through it.

First, level up that account until you unlock the AMG Driving Academy Intermediate Special Event if you haven't already. I think that's level 12. Easiest way to do this is to share a car from your regular PSN account (aughablo) and run a couple seasonal events (even the ferrari ones). One or two seasonal races might even do it depending on your bonus and it should take only about 15-20 minutes.

Once it's unlocked, run the 2nd and 3rd sectors of the AMG Driving Academy Intermediate Special Event. Don't run the entire lap, just run the two individual sectors one at a time so you'll have two different sector times. When you are happy with your time in each sector (and making sure the run is clean and you keep two tires on track at all times) then save those ghost replays and note the times. You will need the replays later so save them for now. How much time you spend to get a good time is up to you, but this will determine your division ranking so give a decent effort. We can't discuss qualifier times or anything, just give a good effort and you don't have to go overboard. It doesn't matter for this event which division you are placed... it will not impact anything in the F1 series.

Once you are done with the sectors submit the individual splits times and the total time (you add up the two sectors manually or via this time calculator) via PM here on GTPlanet to WRSFetchBot in a format like the following

User: DrAug PSN: GTP_TamHablo Country: France Time: X'XX.XXXX Split: X'XX.XXXX Split: X'XX.XXXX

Just replace X'XX.XXX with your times.

We'll assign you a division once we have that PM with your times.

It's all spelled out in a lot of detail here: GTP_Registry Qualifier - GT5

You only have to do this once and you can join all our races including this entire championship. Any event we offer using GT5 will be open to you after you are assigned a division and handicap.

PS> it might sound "difficult" but it's really not... just run a few sectors in the game and submit your time.

Did a session on Racing Hards (with tyre wear on this time) and came up with a 1'10.929 as my best lap. I'm losing time in T2, probably mostly in Tabac which is very tough to do without smashing into the outside wall, or worse, the inside wall.

However, I can boast the best Racing Hards time in T3 :D

Only one week to go now!

Those of you on reserve please update your status by the end of the week so we can make final plans on qualifying round cutoffs and also whether we are running 1 or 2 lounges on Sunday. We need to get 18 confirmed in order to run two grids.

Also, if you aren't going to make the qualifying session, but you want to race Sunday you will need to schedule with a steward to run an observed qualification sometime this week prior to Saturday's knockout qualifying.

And don't forget the official practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. If anyone needs to pre-qualify those would also be convenient times to do so.

For those of you who will need to pre-qualify the following is a list of approved qualification stewards:
  • Allibubba99
  • Ealirendur
  • EDK
  • Gravitron
  • GTPorsche
  • hasslemoff
  • Hydro
  • jtv90069
  • MadMax86
  • mcfizzle
  • oink83
  • Racingworld68
  • Sjaak
  • Speedy6543
  • w-g-e
  • WRP001

The steward will verify the room settings match the OP, observe the qualification race via "watch race" and save the replay in case further inspection is required. Drivers are also encouraged to save replays as sometimes micro-lag can create slight differences between the driver's reality and the observers. If a discrepancy results, the driver's replay will take precedence since it is not affected by lag.

To review the pre-qualification rules:

Alternate Pre-Qualification:
  • Any driver that cannot participate in the live qualification session for any reason must contact a steward (or post to this thread) and arrange for a private qualification session.
  • All private qualifying sessions are observed and will last 5 laps (1 out lap, 3 hot laps, 1 cool down lap).
  • The driver's best "clean" hot lap will become his qualification time. If no "clean" laps are run, the drivers best "dirty" lap will be used, but with 1 second penalty added per wall tap and/or 2 seconds for a chicane cut.
  • Any driver that qualifies in this manner can start no higher than drivers that advance to Q3 during knockout qualification.
  • Pre-qualification is a one shot deal and once you start your qualification race you are committed. In the case of a DC you must return to the lounge ASAP and run any laps you had not started during the initial session.
  • Once you run pre-qualification your time is final and you cannot run the live session on Saturday.
  • Pre-qualification lap times will not / should not be revealed until after the live qualification on Saturday.
  • Drivers that have not qualified prior to the start of the live qualification will not be allowed to race without prior steward approval.

To schedule a session post to the thread with the dates/times you are available and hopefully we can match you up with an available steward during one of your requested time slots. If you've schedule a time be sure to be fully warmed up and ready to go at that time.

You are good now, I just processed your WRS qualifier submission. Congratz on your "D1 Provisional" qualifying by the way. Your division is provisional now until the entire process is complete, including reviewing and verifying your replay, but you can sign up for this event immediately.

Here's what's left for you to do (steps 2-5) and should only take about 5 minutes:

  1. Join the Official GTP_Registry COMPLETE.

UPDATE: OK, you are now down to just the last step... signing up for this event! Also feel free to submit your practice times to the leaderboard. You are on the friends lists of the lounges so feel free to join GTP_3D3_B and join us for practice or start your own practice session and post here.
