    • The use of the clutch that is found on the G25, G27, and other high end racing wheels is strictly prohibited.
    • Use of the Handbrake is Prohibited.
    • No Contact with walls or other objects. Any contact with walls, no matter how minor, will result in a DQ.
    • Red and White Rumble Strips and Tarmac are Track Surface. No other surfaces are track.
    • The Green Surfaces Next to Rumble Strips are NOT Track.

    Steward's Comments:
This car is a long time favorite of mine, I also drove it to shame in my first WRS disqualification. If you did not enjoy the lack of grip last week, rejoice in the splendor of GRIP! :D

    Viewing your T1 & T2 Time Splits:
    • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below)
    • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Gallery' option.
    • Live timing monitor does not work properly, so we have to use a small trick to view splits.
    • While viewing your Replay, pause the lap by hitting start, before the end of the first sector.
    • While keeping the replay paused, advance the replay, using the forward arrow on the replay HUD. This will advance the replay to the end of the first sector. That's your T1 split, write it down.
    • Advance the replay again. That will show the lap to date time on the screen, this is your first and second sector time, added together.
    • To post your T1 & T2 Splits, simply post the lap to date times that are shown in the middle of the screen. Do not try to calculate the actual split times, the Fetchbot will do that for you.

    Standard Clean OLR Rules:
    • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.

      • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
      • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.

    • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
    • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
    • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
    • No hybrids
    • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind. We will know.
    • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules.

    Thread rules:

The following information cannot be discussed in this thread (they can, however, be discussed on Skype or via other private IM service.):
    • Total Lap Time
    • Any information which can be used to infer your total laptime
The following information can be discussed in this thread :
    • The first 2 splits: T1 and T2 times
    • Any settings discussion
    [IMG]

    Submission:
All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 168 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):
    • Then attach your 'Best Lap'/'Ghost' replay in zip file form. Everyone submits a replay instead of listing a lap time.
    • You will need to put something in the message body in order to begin a conversation. It doesn't matter what you put, it can even be 1 letter or symbol. Nobody but the Fetchbot is going to see it, so it's sort of pointless, anyhow.
    • You will get an automated response within 15min, letting you know whether your submission was accepted, or if you had an error.
    • If you have an error, don't panic. Just review the instructions for submission and submit again. If you are having trouble and cannot figure it out, please post your question in the race thread.
    • Users can ask the bot for the current submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Get Entry" and any text in the body.
    • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Remove Entry" and any text in the body.
    • If you want to submit multiple times in the week that is still not a problem. Just reply to the conversation with your new time and new replay. Fetchy always uses the last submitted time as the final one.
    • See this screenshot as an example on how to submit:
    • The deadline is Monday, April 10th 11:59pm GMT
    • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site
    Why Use GMT?:

GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

    Replay Checking:

    • Everyone is required to submit a replay for verification. This happens when you submit to the Fetchbot, and the replays will be visible in the leaderboard, once we've reached the event deadline
    • Participants will be expected to check each others' replays for cleanliness, for replays marked in the Results thread as (Check Needed)
    • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

    Good luck, :gtplanet:

    I can't afford it. :irked::lol:

The PP figure given matches what the dealership says, guessing it's either a typo or the car used to judge specs didn't have oil.

Edit: @EDK (not sure if that'll alert you in an edit, let's see) it says 525 (B)HP 579 PP with oil. :)

That's ok t1 followed by a t2 as messed up as possible and a great final. Around .5-.75 left overall.

Track map on the leaderboard looks to be Suzuka East.

    No manual. :grumpy:
No custom wheels allowed. :grumpy: PD override of WRS. :grumpy::grumpy:
Car is certainly a bit schizophrenic when you get it close to the limit. Can have off or on throttle over steer. Will push (understeer) a bit at other times. Don't think fooling with the BB would really net anything, except for those that have very digital brake inputs anyway.

    52.943
    95.576

We'll see how the 'bot likes these numbers. I seem to remember someone saying once it gets over 100 seconds the bot gets all silly, or something to that effect.

Might be another .5 in this for me.

Been faster at both splits but this one took 130r much better  I can see someone run 51.9's and low 1'34's when he gets round to this one ;)

    Great combo guys!

Thanks, I fixed the track map. No more posting up races after dinner and beer.

I think that's exactly right, fetchy starts getting confused when you put a number over 100 in your splits. But up to 99.99 for sure will play all day.

    Next time double post. ;)

The AUP does not explicitly forbid double posting, so as long as what you are doing is useful, you are fine. And we always give a pass in here anyhow, since fetchy does not pick up edits either.

I'm glad Lucas @Gravitron picked up on this last night so you guys didn't have to wait 12 hours for an answer. I had run that lap a couple weeks ago when I took pictures of this combo, not sure how I managed to go out without an oil change. :odd:

Good question! but I can't give exact numbers.. I run sessions roughly about 40 minutes long and have a smoke and and a cuppa and watch some tv inbetween runs so about 3-4 hours per day in total for the first few days and then I get bored and lucky if I go back :D most of my best laps are set in the first day or so and then it's scraping for thousandths

I always run early in the week just in case I don't get another chance.. If I really get hooked on the combo I can go excessive and put more than 9 hours total but that doesn't happen too much.. does it? :p

GL to all taking part

Pulled a quarter second out of the lap with this one and I might have another quarter if I hit that "magic lap".

    52.787
    95.487

This'll be something the rest of the D2 folks can beat. Think I'll sit back a few days and see how far I fall down the leaderboard.

Sorry for your DQ. :( :)

I discovered this useful quick guide for the replays checking:

    Quick guide to replay checking:
    1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing soft for the LM and Road(RD) for the type S and that the power is 501 / 335 hp
    2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
    3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
    4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
    5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

Yeah, that was on GT4. The button sequences are going to be different, and some of that (namely the power, weight and tire specs) is now irrelevant since we are checking it when it is submitted.

So the burden of the checkers now is to make sure people keep the car on the track without hitting anything, like I did on that week.

    Oh, it's a standard :(.

After first session the rust (and lack of talent :dopey:) is showing up quite well....

Rather sheepishly driven, but I seem to be able to keep her on the grey stuff....mostly :O. I'm pretty sure improvements won't be to hard to come by :sly:.

A bit "frustrating" to realise that you are further behind than you thought before todays try , went over the finishline faster than before , but with splits thats going the wrong way
