I have only a handful of diecast planes, but I have quite a few kits I built years ago. I need to get back into building kits once I get an airbrush and other supplies.
But yeah, I work as a mechanic for a regional airline that flies a mixed fleet of Embraer ERJ-145's and ERJ-175's. Get to see all sorts of neat stuff taking off and landing due to how close our hangar is to the runways.

I originally wasn't going to buy myself a model for my birthday/Christmas. But on Christmas day while contemplating the very concept of gift giving; the meaning of my life, and why I'm still such a failure at it I decided it would be traitorous to defy such a tradition. So to make up for my tardiness I jumped to 1/18 instead of the usual 1/43 (or two).

Ottomobile Alpine GTA V6 Le Mans!

I've wanted one of these for ages, a few years probably. But the only ones I ever saw were yellow with yellow wheels (yikes), or blue ones for crazy prices. It doesn't really show in the images, but it's actually slightly green, almost a faded teal. Scarabee green if we want to get all dweeby. This marks my first Alpine that isn't blue.

This is the collection of Alpines, I have an unruly addiction to these baguettes (though admittedly a bit subdued compared to some of the collections round these parts ). I also have a 1/43 rally A110, but it's the ugly Ixo model so we don't talk about that.

Sorry for the slightly quick and dirty photos, I don't really have the time for a nice photo shoot of the planes, but here is where my collection is standing at the minute.

Starting at the top:

1:400 scale models of the American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-11 and MD-87, as well as a roughly 1:250 scale Air New Zealand Boeing 747-400 in one of the more classic liveries that they have appeared in

Next shelf down:

From the left we start with a roughly 1:200 scale Aer Lingus Airbus A330. This was the first model I ever got and is a bit beaten and destroyed by this point. Along the front are a 1:400 scale Air New Zealand Airbus A321neo and a 1:400 Thai Airways Airbus A340-500 both from Phoenix. The bigger models in the back are both 1:150 scale of another American Airlines MD-87, and a Delta Boeing 767-300

And finally, the last model for the moment:

A 1:250 scale Northwest Airlines Douglas DC-10

I already have plans for my next pay check, so I'll be sure to take some nicer shots once that gets delivered!!!

That plane in the top shelf on the right reminds me of the plane at the end of Die Hard 2!

model contain two different type of roof. Original one and study edition (that one you can find now in Stuttgart museum)

I've less things than you do, but I hit that limitation already. My figures have exceptionally huge boxes. About the volume of five 1:18s for one of them. Do you keep your boxes or have you scrapped them all?

I keep my boxes, though many models I had before 2008 don't have boxes, while some eBay purchases after that didn't have boxes either. If I re-organize some boxes I figure I could get another 50-100 models tops in my apartment without too much trouble in terms of box storage. Displaying would be a whole different can of worms though...

My newest addition. A 1:400 scale model of the Chinese made Comac C919 in Comac house livery made by JC Wings. I'm extremely happy with this model, it's a bit more of a unique plane, and the model looks fantastic. The colours are crisp, smaller details are well presented and I'm very happy with the shop I bought it from

I didn't know that there were any models of this aircraft available. Also, it's a blatant rip-off of the CS300 (aka Airbus A220)
