Here's the models I got for christmas and for my birthday since it was on 29th.

Ford GT Concept by Hot Wheels (red/white stripes)
Ferrari F2004 #1 "Michael Schumacher" by Hot Wheels Racing (victory figurine, finish line detail)
Chevrolet Corvette C5R #53 2003 Le Mans 24HR by AUTOart
Porsche 917K #20 "Steve McQueen - Le Mans" by AUTOart
Lamborghini Diablo GTR by Hot Wheels (yellow)

Will post some pictures later. The AUTOart models are gorgeous. The F1 Ferrari is also gorgeous in the finish line detail, I absolutely love it, but I must get some Marlboro decals for it! 💡

The Ford GT is more of a high-end Hot Wheels, apparently it's the same as the Beanstalk model, anyway it looks very nice too. Plans for future purchases:

- Ford GT Production by AUTOart (yellow/black stripes)
+ lambo miura and countach by autoart/kyosho

I also saw a Toyota GTOne TS020 '99, Subaru Impreza WRC (older) Richard Burns and Subaru Impreza WRC Tommi Makkinen at a shop in Banff (a local ski resort) and they had reasonable prices too. They all looked awesome.

Do you know who makes those? I've been half-heartedly sort of looking for one for a while. Same goes for a 787B.

Got a rather nice bookcase for storing some of my cars in - fits 20 (of 36) cars, with room for more shelves, and best of all, it was free! It's also got an MOD (Ministry Of Defence) mark on the back, which I assume means it was once army property.

The TS020 and the 787B are by Autoart. The TS020 has been out for a while now and they are still readily available on eBay. On the other hand, the 787B just came out the week before Christmas. Cheers.

I'm eyeing up buying one of the AutoArt 787B's, they look sweet and thank god that the white wheel covers are removable.

The GT1 TS020 is made by AUTOart. It's a racing division model. It has all opening parts (unlike those motorsport division Speed 8 and JGTC Skylines and etc.).

I believe there's 2 models that autoart makes of the TS020. The one I saw was the ESSO Ultraflo one from '99 I believe. There's also a '98 one with a lot of white lines around the red body.

You've got a nice collection of models. Let me see if I can get them right.

Bettle RSi, F355 Spider, F40, Enzo, 917K, Elise, Skyline GT4, Ford GT Gulf Livery, Alonso Renault F1?, Jordan F1 ?, Jag E-type cabriolet and coupe, McMerc SLR, no clue what that one is, Mustang GT390 "bullitt", some racing bike (valentino rossi?), Miata mx-5, carrera gt, viper rt/10, honda civic?, some truck

I've got the F355, F40 and Enzo by Hot Wheels, and I've also got a Carrera GT Concept by Maisto that looks like yours and a red Viper RT/10 by Bburago.

Where can you find the 787B at? I haven't seen it on scale18.com. Not that I even have the money for it right now (been wanting a Miura and Countach by autoart or kyosho, and also saving up to get a Mclaren f1 by ut from ebay), but I haven't really seen it anywhere for sale.

It depends where your at for UK guys there is a link here: http://www.alexreade.net/acatalog/1_18_Autoart_Mazda_787B___Le_Mans_1991_Winner.html

and theres another site in the UK that I think already has it but I can't remember the addy :scared:

Some nice models there Holden, good to see that you have a Viper but who makes that Saleen Stang? I love that colour of red, just like a real one I've seen.

oh yeah, i forgot that the Saleen Stang was in 2Fast2Furious, good call GTRacer. I think it was made by Ertl.

You know what I don't understand? The model car market is just begging for a middle-quality manufacturer along the lines of Hot Wheels but a bit better.

I mean for example, the Hot Wheels 1/18 cars cost $18CAD at my local Toys 'R Us. That's the equivalent of like $16 US. At the local hobby shops, they have the F430, MC12, C6 Z06 and new AM V8 by Hot Wheels and they're all $35 CAD as you can't find those at Toys 'R Us, so around $31 US.

Why isn't there a manufacturer that charges $40 to $50 US (so say $45 to $60 CAD) for good quality supercars? I would stop buying Hot Wheels and not even consider AUTOart anymore if some manufacture came out and charged $40 to $50 US per model, provided better quality Hot Wheels (not as perfect as AUTOart, but Hot Wheels has been making improvements, so say quality between Hot Wheels and Kyosho, quality worthy of $40 to $50 US), and if this manufacturer made all the cars that people want:

Koenigsegg CC8S/V8S/CCR
Saleen S7
Pagani Zonda
McLaren F1
Corvette
Viper
Ferrari Enzo
etc.

I would just kill to be able to get reasonable quality models worthy of $50 US of the Koenigsegg, or the Zonda, or some Ferraris, or some Lambos, or an M3, or so on.

I don't really feel like paying $105CAD for a supercar model (no matter how good quality it is) like Carrera GT and Ford GT just cause AUTOart feels like charging an arm and a leg.

I believe the 'mystery car' beside the SLR McLaren is the original Mercedes SLR "Ulenheit"(?)(I have seen that word associated with it, so it must be part of the name).

The AutoArt Miura is a great model. Superb paint, nicely detailed interior and engine bay. I wanted a Red/gold one, but settled for an orange/silver one instead.

Erm anyone have any idea just how good a BBR model is?
From the looks of this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FERRARI-ENZO-BBR-1-18-STUNNING-THE-BEST-ENZO-MODEL_W0QQitemZ6998888289QQcategoryZ223QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
id say they're pretty darn good. Either that or they are just extortionately priced :indiff:

Just been doing some searching and their attention to detail is amazing, actual cloth and leather apparently is used in the interior, tires have genuine rubber constructed and tread pattern:

BBR-1801 Ferrari Enzo Red 1/18 BBR Models · Fully accurate all cast metal body and chassis · Highly detailed engine fully wired and plumbed. Realistic carbon fiber-look engine bay · Rubber like tires with genuine tread pattern. Removable wheels with tool · Carpeted interior fabric seatbelts with Photo-etch hardware, genuine leather seats Enzo suitcases in real “Poltrone Frau” colors “BrandArt” red fabric car cover · Suspension and steering function · Fully opening body panels · Superb paint finish and authentic colors · High luster finish · Hand assembled from over 250 intricate parts’ Many photo-etched

18/21, well done! The Renault is Button from 2002, and the Jordan is Heidfeld from 04. The silver car between the silver SLR and the Bullett Mustang is the Mercedes 300 SLR that Stirling Moss drove in the Mille Migila in 1955; the "Civic" and the truck are actually a Mitsubishi Eclipse from the Fast and the Furious and a Land Rover Defender.

I tried buying a McLaren F1 roadcar in silver colour by UT on Ebay today. Got outbid in the last 10 seconds by some bastard by like $1...

It sucked. I really wanted the freaking model. Do you guys have any tips on this problem. Getting outbid? Can I set a maximum bid?

eBay should ask you what is the highest price you would bid and it would automatically bid for you up until that price.
However, there are some programs that can be used to help you win an auction. I know of someone on another forum that uses one, but I don't remember the program name or where it is available.

When you're bidding on eBay you should enter the maximum amount of money you want to pay for that specific item. This is because eBay automatically bids for you up till your maximum bid value.
So let's say you enter 80 bucks as a bid. If there's another one with a higher maximum bid than yours then you'll see a message showing you that you've been outbid, and this is directly after you've put your actual bid. On the other hand, if you're the first one to bid and you bid 80 bucks, the lowest value for that auction will be the actual bid. This takes away some of the sport with bidding but it makes it much easier as well, and you're not paying more than you have to.

Topic aside, I have a new homepage, www.induce.nu. Check the diecast section out, not too much yet though.

Well I bought a model off eBay today. It's a McLaren MP4-18 (F1 2003 season) Test Car driven by Alexander Wurz. The model is by Minichamps and is a limited edition of 999 pcs. worldwide.

I'm also gonna be getting a McLaren F1 roadcar in dark blue by Maisto also off eBay (assuming that everything goes right).

It's also one of my goals this year to get that 787B. :scared:
