I'm drooling over the models on the last few pages. Very nice... and great shoot of the Sauber, F1GTR 👍

I'm planning on buying a Williams FW26 tomorrow, or Friday in 1:18 scale. There aren’t too many left, they're quite cheap, and I love the front wing design... so I need one before they all disappear.

I only found two makes for the FW26... Hot Wheels and Minichamps. But I'd like to ask, which would be the better quality of the two? By the looks of things, probably the Hotwheels model... but I'd prefer to ask people here before I go ahead with anything. I'm sure you all have a better idea then me, or I'm sure someone here actually owns one of the two (I currently only own AutoART models). 👍

Thanks :)

You're right... I do want one of those. Except it doesn't quite look $42AUD :)

(You've even got the Marlboro stickers!)

Edit: Ah, I knew it: Link. Looks quite good from that picture.

Added a final pair for the month...
1/43 Spark 2005 Pagani Zonda F, Silver
1/43 Spark 1999 Mercedes-Benz CLR, Flat Black

Pics of all shall come as they arrive :)

I have a Williams FW26 (Montoya) of Minichamps myself. For all the F1 models, Minichamps is always better quality than Hot Wheels. The only problem is with all the modern Ferrari's and Renault's (and the 2005-2007 Williams), only Hot wheels makes them in 1:18 so you don't really have a choice.

Here is some pictures of my FW26:

Anyway, hey guys, how's it going. I haven't posted in here in a long while. Was busy with school for the longest time, didn't have time to take any pictures. I'll try to take a couple of pictures this weekend, so many models I've yet to take photographs of.

Here's a couple recent models I acquired:

Jaguar XJR-9 #60 Daytona 24hr Winner '88 - Exoto
Lotus 97T Ayrton Senna Estoril GP '85 - Minichamps
Lamborghini Reventon - Bburago
Peugeot 905 #3 Le Mans 24hr Winner '93 - Spark
Mercedes CLK-DTM AMG - Kyosho

Thanks for the pictures, MustangSVT. I actually spotted the same pictures you posted earlier on another forum, but I didn't know which make it was.

I just ordered the Hotwheels version a few minutes ago. It was the only avaliable model I could find on the internet (from both minichamps and HW), and it was just $40AUD, plus shipping. Every other site was either asking $100+, or were completely sold out. If the quality does look terrible, I can always search for the minichamp version later 👍.

I'm happy with the price I payed though. $20 less then a tank of fuel 👍

Yes you paid a good price. The Montoya FW26 by Minichamps (in 1:18) is pretty hard to come by. It took me nearly 8 months of eBay hunting to find one at a reasonable price (this was a year ago).

Enjoy your model and I congratulate you on going down the F1 collecting path. 👍

Cheers 👍.... BUT, it sounds like I will need to go on an epic search to find one myself. I just recieved an e-mail this morning which said my order has just been cancelled, because they couldn't ship it to my address.

So if anyone finds a minichamp model priced like this:

It's nothing of a special model, and I've had it for a good bit of time. Only problem is, now that I've grown up quite a bit, I really hate dub models. So last night I was extremely bored and decided to try and make it looked like it had crash. After a good 30 minutes to an hour of work with a hammer, pliers, screwdriver and a lighter, it came out looking like this. (I didn't have a red marker so the red is a really strong art pencil)

I plan on later filling some small containers with gasoline, putting them in the bed and under the hood, then leading a small trail of gasoline to the car and lighting it. Should be fun to watch. I'll definately have to make a video of it.

Please do :D

Awesome, looks good, can't wait for the inferno!:mischievous:, Im currently doing something similar with a ZX3 Focus and eventually a MK2 Beetle, the focus is far from done though, if all goes to plan I should be torching the front end for the 'engine fire' effect!:D. Ill post a couple of pics up sometime.

Good Luck with the rest!:)
