Hmm, I don't know...

Tak, what do you think?

Hmmm, the tunes should do fine but I do have concerns at the same time..well you should share the course, and let the tuners test out the course(Unless few of the tuners are LotS users) to see if the setup works on Akina.

But gear ratios for the tuners that have already done them, Will have to redo them....

Hmm…to be honest, I don't quite mind it if it's Akina, since it might be beneficial to my FC with the lack of really, very slow hairpins like there is on Eiger so I'm not always stuck behind Mat's MR2 in a traffic jam.

At least I wasn't the one running wide and getting left behind once we exited the hairpins.

I was only doing that because of a certain silver MR2 which kept getting in my way every time I tried to get on the power.

And it's a 900kg car vs a 1100kg car with the same amount of power, what do you expect to happen?

The main reaon for me suggesting this is because of the slightly longer sector and greater variety of turns would allow the cars to run faster and showcase their ttrue potential.

As for redoing tunes, that might not me necessary since it's still a winding mountain pass. As for gearing, just from 3rd onwards would need adjustment, since you would rarely exceed speeds of 90mph in Sector 3 of Akina.

Another note. Being as the submission deadline for TougeMAX is over two weeks away and testing another week, lord knows how long before Season 2 begins. That being said, there's ample time for tuners to learn the course and make the appropriate adjustments.

Hmm, you make a good point.

Of course.

But it's your thread, therefore it's your call. All in good time, and if the tuners are welcome to the idea. I could share the track as well, since it's originally my design.

Easier said than done on the gearing since I'm using a short ratio trans, not full custom. In fact I would rather not use a full custom trans.

Well, since it's on season 2 anyway, why not?

well I'm tuning 2 Touge 300 cars as i don't know which i'm going to submit for it when it comes around..... As for Touge 200, I'd say my tune is about 95% done :)

I think it's fine to implement Akina for current MAX class, I had stock transmission anyway on my R33 GTR Hosaka Tuning entry. I will download the track from Takumi's account and test the car :D

I had a great time at Akina last time, drifting with almost stock Lancia Stratos ( semi race exhaust ) using CH tire, ReeceesPuffs joined in the fun with his blue Stratos, had quite a few laps until the track gets dark. Great times there, went sideways on twisty sections like mad, some close almost tandem like action

Mt Akina is great for me since I test all my cars there, since I know how fast I should be going through every corner and what line to take. I've probably run more laps than anyone there, and probably more laps than I've run the Nurburgring. (Which is quite a lot, because I only really join Nur lobbies.) I'm using the stock transmission on my MAX car anyway because it accelerates better than the close ratio and I feel unrealistic with a sequential gearbox with an annoying whine. Kinda takes the spirit out of the touge.

Been at Akina since LotS debut xD

Hehe, Mat! Gave myself a shot! :P I'll probably be useful for video editing. :P

Nah, it's cool. I just copy-paste the thing in photoshop, then clean up the jaggies and stuff...

Also, you've seen the link to my gallery, right?
