Oi, Snake, any word yet on my 'Rexy?

I haven't taken the time to drive it thoroughly yet. I would've today but before xmas dinner with the family I was in my lounge driving stock super cars at the Nordschleife.

Most fun thing to do in GT5 lol. Stock super car races at Nürb on sports hard tires. Good times

Time to finish up my Touge 200 car I think

Word. I'm at work, off the clock, chillin and mingling. There's a 50/50 chance I'll host a lobby or lounge when I get home, whenever that may be lol.

I'm also trying to give Onboy's STi a thorough drive.

Good result on Touge MAX :) I thought Rob's GT-R would eat my GT-R with all its Sports upgrades

Hahaha! Not to sound intentionally smug, but, we've been doing this (touge thing) on GT5 longer than anyone else, except maybe TimberW and optomuscrime, and it's fair to say that we may not be the best but we have, arguably, the most experience doing this.

*sigh*

To everyone who continued to support GTP's Hot Version- Touge Showdown

Well, with season 1 finally over, I'd like to take the time to thank each and every one of you, for everything. From the stage of planning, changing rules, and everything else. Though there may have been a couple of disagreements, I'm glad that all of us still got along. Anyways, season 2 is set to begin on January 19. Deadline for Touge 200 is a week after that, which is on the 26th. We hope for more in the near future.

Thanks again for all.

You're welcome! I'm really glad to help out to be a tester for you, and supporting you.

Oi, Snake, any word yet on my 'Rexy?

I've just sent her back.

Here's my review of your STi Spec C:

My first impression of the car wasn't acceleration, or power or light weight, but how stable it feels on corner entry. Virtually no signs of understeer. The second most noteworthy thing about this car is it's corner exit acceleration. It's a double-edged sword of sorts. More about that in a second.

I ran 8 laps at Eiger with all aids off and tire wear on. The car is very fun and despite tire wear kicking in heavily around the 4th lap, I was still setting faster sector/lap times as the tires wore out more. Maybe because I was getting more comfortable with the car and learning its limits.

Lap after lap, the front tires would give in sooner and sooner. The front is sluggish and unresponsive. That could probably be because of the 50/50 torque distribution. It helps greatly with corner exit acceleration, but the more warmed up the tires are, the more prone to pushing out the front end is. That's really my only gripe with this car, everything else about it is nearly perfect.

I would score it 97/100 simply because I can't see myself driving this beast at its limit for extended periods of time, with tire wear being a big drawback for me and the unresponsive front end. Still, it's as fast as anything in its class or higher.

50/50 torque split? I distinctly remember it was in the 40/60…Tak…did you mess with the diff settings and not reset it? The tune on this car was pretty much a copy/paste from my 550PP 'Rex, and that runs 45/55 if I'm not mistaken…

Well, whatever, I'll sort that out when I get it back. Still, yea, as you say really, it's more a one magic lap kind of car rather than an endurance machine…much like me, really. Thanks for the review…now, where's my shotgun? I'mma go grill some guy for messing with my diffs.

So what is it supposed to be set to then?

Tch…lovely…I finally get back online (YES!) and…there's no rooms for me to test in. :grumpy: Guess everyone's out on a Post-Christmas high at work…

Is it so hard to adapt playing with wheel ? I used to play with wheel for almost ten years on PC, since back in the days of original NFS and NASCAR DOS games to GP3 and NASCAR 2003. I had the old ThrustMaster wheel, it's broken now :(. Stuck with stick for now. If he had experience driving a car or wheel before, he should have no issues with another one, right ?

I did try G27 once, pretty good and easy to use, I doubt Takumi would have problem, and he would be just as fast as before :D

So does that mean I'll finally be able to run in front of you since you'll be all over the place trying to get used to the wheel? :p

I just need to get use to the clutch bug that GT5 has, there's no disengaging levels, you have to disengage all the way. Plus the shifter is okay, just have to watch what gear I'm going to once or twice.

Good chance to practice and try to be as good as your idol, the man in green, no? And I'm so bored of offline tuning…anyone gonna setup a room or something?

Have Mt. Akina up in my lounge right now if anyone wants to work on their T200 cars or just hang out.👍👍
