Well, if there's a credit limit, could we use a car we already have and then tune it, or would we have to buy a car + tuning within the limit? If it's the second, I could see a future where someone finds a really good car and then everyone uses the same thing..

I wouldn't say the Caterham is overpowered, actually it's pretty hard to win with it, but it's very light. Since we don't count PP, yes you could say it's overpowered.

At a track like Akina, a Caterham would simply run away from anything else.

A credit limit doesn't seem like such a good idea because a lot of average cars can cost a lot, ie the difference between the '07 and '09 GTRs is minimal, yet the '09 costs 80-90k more if I'm not mistaken. And then you have tuner cars, that fall anywhere between 50-750k, some are average at best (Spoon CRZ) while others dominate (Amuse anything) for the price categories they fall under. Just my two cents, however.

MyGranTurismo lists the stats and prices for all cars in the game. Perhaps someone could furnish a link to it as I don't have it at hand currently. As for credit cap at a guess 100-150 thousand probably but again I'd have to check prices on a few cars to make sure that didn't rule out any desireable cars or include some we'd like to exclude.

Note: The credit limit was a suggestion targeted at the Max class as a easy legitimate reason to exclude cars from it. While it might be fun on occasion to run high priced exotic cars in a Touge setting I think from what I've seen and gathered from people here that Touge is more like the American hot rod scene. People take a more common everyday type car then sometimes spend many times what the car is worth giving it performance upgrades and cosmetic flair. A Ferrari or Lamborghini is expected to be fast, that's how they come from the factory, but that Mazda or Citreon or whatever is about someone's passion for making a car faster and better in often unexpected ways.:gtpflag:

I'm not too keen on a price limit. I want to see someone enter a Czeta. If no one will, I guess I found my max car.

My biggest issue there is how do you justify allowing a Cizzetta or Audi R8 then say no to a Veyron or Mercialago (spelling:drool:).

Neither are nearly as potent. I think those are more under the "hypercar" category, while something like the R8 and its Italian brother, the Gallardo, are more like supercars and aren't nearly as fast, ever.

The Czeta makes the yellowbird seem like a GTR lol. Well except at high speed corners, car is marvelous, and straight line acceleration is out of this world.

Guessing people ain't so "Amuse" with an R1...hehe do your own Tuner Shootout if you want it banned...getting ticked off.

Shouldn't come as a surprise, you used it in LotS and it got banned for obvious reasons, I think it's self-explanatory why we don't want it in a touge shootout. It's almost a guarantee that it'll be just as fast as anything else, considering that Slender's 500PP R1 kept up with 550PP cars. It's the Elise of 500PP and deserves to go along with the other tuner cars in its own category.

The car is 100/100 on it's own both in GT5 and IRL Hot Version. No more explanation needed.

No, but because you wouldn't use anything else

Also, I love how my beloved Akina is getting so much attention lol.

EDIT: Onboy, is our 5-paint chip wager still on for the Kei cars making the finals for T200 Episode 2?

I actually want to see this…my Impreza vs that hyper S2000 on Akina…and I'll hear nothing about the gearbox being an F/C since I've been using a close ratio so that it doesn't just explode into the distance.

You volunteered it, so expect that much from this bunch of people.

If there are any kei cars entering (that I find competitive enough to make it worth betting on), yea. DON'T LET ME DOWN JC!!!!

Why not do a credit cap of 200,00CR (without modifications) and nothing under 850kg/1874 lbs with weight reduction? That way cars are a lot more even. you can change these numbers just a idea.

*200,000

That sounds like a reasonable amount. But I'm not too fond of salary caps for all classes, maybe for the MAX class yes.

As for the M3 CSL/GTR and RUF RGT/3400S, if the NSX is allowed to run, I don't see why those can't.

Some would argue that the RUF's are tuner cars, being as they're originally Porsches that have been reworked by a different company. Even though they're their own brand in their own right. So, that's up for discussion, even though my standing is that the RUF's should be allowed.

As for the Super M3's, the GTR is a homologation special (such as the likes of the Subaru 22-b, NSX LM, 911 GT3 and many others) and is a perfectly street-legal car. The CSL is basically the lightest version of one of, if not THE, greatest driver's cars ever made.

Now, what's the argument here? Basically, those M3's will easily net a 100/100 score in stock form. The counter-argument being that for T-MAX, with all that added power, handling and control are degraded (albeit nothing a base tune can't fix). The RGT is the other car that could be said to be one of, if not the, greatest driver's cars every made (obviously based off of the legendary Porsche 911) and is a great feeling and handling car. But with the added power, the same conditions I mentioned above also apply.

This should also be open for discussion to be resolved before the next T-MAX round. For the record, my standing is that all the cars I mentioned above should be allowed to enter. If not, that would be like a Royal Wedding where the King and Queen aren't invited .

(remember, if it wasn't for the M3 and 911, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and many other manufacturers, save for Ferrari, Mercedes and others that didn't start out as motorbike makers wouldn't have any business in the sports car business)

I will never let you down or give you up! Never going to ket you down, Never going ti leave and desert you. Never going to make you cry...

No but seriously, still tuning at this hour. As for T300, my car is S. L. O. W. 3:06 is my fastest lap. On the bright side, I can drive this all day.

Damn, I hosted a lobby for over 4 hours and you're nowhere to be found. I feel tuning while battling, and not just doing timed runs, gives your the best feedback/data for your setup. Hence why I use LotS as my test bed for my touge setups, also why I take so long to do them .

I'm thinking of running a controversial car for T300 myself. It's perfectly street legal and has 304hp stock.

I'll send a paint chip of your choice to the first one that guesses it.
No DLC/Chrome pants :sly:
Except my partner in crime, Slender, he already knows.

3:10.220 full lap after getting the car 100% to spec. (S2 weight, full drivetrain)

Car has a bit of oversteer but it's controllable and oh-so-fun.

Ready to submit the car whenever. :D

2:10!!?

You must mean 3:10... I've never seen anything run under 2:40 at Akina.

What track are you running?:odd::drool:
Edit never mind just reread the time.:banghead:

Did you not see my Veyron video? I ran a low 37 in it, though it could go lower even :p

No I have not... Which begs the question: Slender, what's the fastest you ran your Touge X Veyron aka Solar Crown at Akina?

So I've basically finished my EG for T200, just some wheel alignment needed to finalize it.

As for T300, I've got 4 cars nearly ready to choose from:
NA1 NSX
S15 Silvia
AP2 S2000
Controversial Car #1

I'm not even too due right now about TMAX, until we sort out any eligibility discrepancies. Originally I thought about an LF A, but that overpriced Supra runs deep in the pockets at $300K.

Tomorrow, well around 9 Est.

Damn, that just so happens to be the time I leave for work, give or take half an hour. If I have a room up, which I most likely will, you should get up in that shizz.

Not too bothered to annoy you, since you either just chicken out or we just can't find the right time to race proper. :p

But I've certainly annoyed you, no? My overweight Clio seems to ruin everything you bring out.. :sly:

I need to stop procrastinating and start actually tuning my T200 and T300 cars.
