Glad that my match wasn't a Diva match, especially since I lost.

Donald Thwomp, man.. curbstomped that match.

The second match was long and shows endurance, nothing else to say but.. how is a pancake toss considered something to be breaked?

Indeed, we went the extra mile to beat the living hell out of each other, and boy was it a beating we took; uranages on the outside, tombstone piledrivers, and of course submissions aplenty. I'm still watching the match as we speak, but just from looking at the video's timeline bar, I can already see that we had a 5-star, long classic match against one another. Exactly as we expected, right? 👍

Also, do you think it's silly for me to say that when I look at The X, I think of Bas Rutten? They look so alike... :lol:

Anyhow, The X had a great journey after an embarrassing Diva like match against @Michelin he made a promise to make a better match down the line which he did against a real contender, Glue Man and then he was up against someone who has seen him work in another universe and they pulled up a great match despite the lost.

Now go on and crush Donald Trump :lol:

My god man, your MMA knowledge is terrible! Rutten isn't that unknown, he even wrestled for real...! :lol:

That aside, The X did show why was he such a powerful contender in your WWE Universe; with submissions being he king in this game, he chose the right approach for each, keeping things grounded as much as he could to make the most out of his Dragon Sleeper, even against high-flying wrestlers such as Glue Man. Maltinez had to work for his victories, but he ran the same sort of strategy to win them, so to speak. It's good to know that the wrestler idea that I came up with on the spot worked well enough to get me to the finals, I wasn't expecting that to work at all to be honest.

Now let's see if I don't get fired by Thwump... :lol:
 
Do you guys want to see the 3rd place match first, or the final?
 
Bronze match first, gives us a run-up to the championship fight.

Perhaps if I hadn't taken Marvel as far, he'd have put up a better fight.

The opponent was knocked out cold.
 
It wasn't a finishing blow as you might expect, but he got him in just the right spot for the KO win.
 
The finals will be live soon.

It may be a bit disappointing. Who knows?
 
I must say, that sequence near the 5 minute mark where both wrestlers kept missing strikes and feel out of the ring multiple times was rather hilarious. Talking about your mistimings and whiffing of moves... :lol:

But then the match really kicked into another gear, especially with that nasty release Dragon Suplex by The X on the outside, boy was that cringe-inducing.

Also, I sure hope that the final match won't be disappointing, that would sting after all the great matches our wrestlers had. We need to rise up to the task, god dang it!

The biggest problem I have been noticing over the whole series (which I'm sure most of you all know) is that many matches end rather prematurely namely because... Most of the wrestlers easily submit to the other's submission.

I went to recheck over everyone's forms and most people actually prioritized "Submission" on the defensive side almost near the bottom, so when they come across a guy who prioritizes submission as their offense, they give up easily.

So I want some thoughts from you guys about this... One possible solution (as you guys may know as well) is to next time prioritize on submission defense next time, maybe? :lol:

I went to recheck over everyone's forms and most people actually prioritized "Submission" on the defensive side almost near the bottom, so when they come across a guy who prioritizes submission as their offense, they give up easily.

So I want some thoughts from you guys about this... One possible solution (as you guys may know as well) is to next time prioritize on submission defense next time, maybe? :lol:

Well, you do have a point; pin finishes were about as rare as good Bubsy videogames, and the only time someone got KTFO was during the 3rd place match when The X nailed Masked Marvel with an average kneel kick that led to a KO for some reason. We did create some incredibly unbalanced defensive stats, which in turn led to most wrestlers having super strong submissions or being incredibly weak against them.

I can't think of many good solutions for such a problem, other than perhaps have one fixed stat that each GTP member must abide by when creating a wrestler. For example, a power fighter should not have flying as his main offensive skill, but he can have it as his best defensive skill, or something along those lines. Other than that, I'm pretty much at a loss...

Also, boy was it embarassing to job under 4 minutes to a submission after forcing so many men to tap out to my own... Donald just Thwomped me good, that dastardly son of a gun. And he was bleeding, too! :lol:

And by the by, I wholeheartedly approve of the musical choice for the finals, using an instrumental version of Yakuza 4's main theme song. Well chosen, my friend. 👍

I say leave it to our own adjustments. I have an idea on what to raise and what to drop on both lists.

- Thwomp is probably a class higher than everyone else.

- Glue Man is my, and probably our people's champion.
