And thanks for the answer..

..I kind of already were leaning on the side of not to paint these. The finish is great without too and with painting yourself you can do whatever color you like. :)

👍

Oh and one change:

The side panels will be made from 6,5mm instead of the 4mm (not available in this grade) ply I had in the first proto rig.

Better pics of the parts I will ship (maybe exlude the bolts & nuts etc.. - might not be wise to ship those cost wise, this can be settled individually):

I think you should let inside sim racing barrow a set after you start your product line up.

We have discussed it already, and I will send one for them. :)

👍

(for double price, but don't tell them.. :sly:)

Just remember that ISR factors in prices for rigs, so you might want to give them a more accurate price.

Just kidding... I will tell them the real price, of course 👍

edit,

also shaped the pedal plate and the screen desk again to snip little weight off. Now the lasercut metals and the plywoods weights 6,0kg together. Looking for a solution for the shipping atm, if anyone has good suggestions, let's hear them 👍 I just measured and those parts will fit in 600mm x 600mm x 100mm package.

Today going to make sure this all works also with the imperial measures, meaning 1 1/2 and 3/4 aluminium bars..

Ok, all parts are double and triple checked and query is out for the metals & the ply's. Had to change a few things but now it will be possible to use 1½" and 3/4" alum.bars.

Here's pics of the first ever 10 GTrr's :p

The parts are now ordered, should be ready for picking up under 10days. Six of the first ten also has been already reserved preliminarily. 👍

---------------------------------------------------------------

About the shipping, I can give some examples of the costs at this point:

US - 45,20€ (59.3$) (some minor details need to be figured out still)
UK - 37,40€ (31.6£)
DE - 32,70€
ES - 37,40€
IT - 37,40€

The shipping will take
- 3-8 working days to the Nordic countries
- Rest of the Europe 5 - 8 working days
- Rest of the world 7 -30 working days

Finally got me the threaded plastic end caps (20mm x 20mm). Will need 6 of these / rig.

Timppaq - Do you have any pics of the finished assembly (not sketch-up)? Might have missed them too...

EDIT: Never mind. I just checked the first post.

WOW... I just saw the first post and looks REAL nice. Once I get time tomorrow I will check out the videos.

Yes I will sell it as a DIY kit 👍 It's explained little further back...

Thanks , but please save the final judgement to the point I can show you vids & pics about the final build. And I must remind you also that the seat and the aluminium bars will not be included. But this will save shipping costs a lot, and you will get just the seat that you want, and feel like you actually made some of it. It just gives it a little more feeling imo..

But otherwise I'm really confident that this can compete with the best out there (usability & feature wise)

edit,

Just to make clear, this is the plan at this point:

- I'll ship the plywoods, laser cut metals, plastic end caps and the bolts & nuts
- I'll include complete instructions with tips for variations
- The first ten pcs will be priced specifically, not necessarily indicating the final price. Take into consideration that the shipping to longer distances might end up costly. PM me about these things if you have any questions.

The shipping of the bolts & nuts will have to be decided still a little later, it depends of how wise it would be cost wise, what requirements it would create for the packaging etc.. That all will become clear soon.

Estimated cost in future is ~299€ + shipping, at least I try to keep the price under 300€. This may still change though, but that's the best I can say now. Shipping costs are estimated on one of the previous posts..

👍 Of course there will be other expenses added to that to complete the build, but I do think that even just by looking at what you get features wise, it is a good deal.

Here's a few real life pics of the threaded bar & the threaded plastic end cap that you can see in the below pic supporting the screen table:

That's good to hear!

So if someone (for example me) asks you in 2013 (for example) to make him this playseat, will you do it or you'll make just limited nuber of them and finish with this chapter?

Hehe, a hard one  It really all depends on how things progresses from now on, but I propably will always keep a few of them stocked. :) And now in the beginning if there are more eager buyers I will do these in larger sets as loing as there is demand. 👍

All the parts for the first 10 are now payed and it's again just a waiting game. This time though it won't take as long as last time. I will get the parts under 2 weeks (or that is what was promised).

Almost done with the manual too.

Here's an example of the inverted pedal version,

- You still have the angle adjustment
- You'll need two additional plywood / MDF parts and longer 20x20 aluminum bars, I'll include the dimensions in the manual.

The 3D model of the separate pedal is not 100% accurate, just a 5mins work (I don't have the measurements for it) to give better idea.

First ever try on a 3d render vid..

Could be better but this is the best I could do this time.

All shipped parts will easily fit into 600mm x 600mm x 60mm package. Tested it in 3D.

here's 2 pics of the led's I bought to lighten up my own rig :D

Mostly depends on when I do get the lasercut metal parts and the plywoods. If I get them when promised, that will be early next week. Then I'll ship the first kits and after that it basically depends on how long it'll take for the person to DIY the rest (shipping takes some time too of course). :) So estimation: not before GT5..

I try to get the aluminum tubings for my own rig done during next week, and once I get the rig finished I'll take some photos & vids of it.
