Strictly it was the Renault 5 Turbo, a mid-engined 5, the same formula was applied to the Clio V6 ( a mid-engined Clio ) so you're correct in guessing the car I was looking for.👍

My guess is BMW M3, that's the chrome detail ( inverted ), which is near the front wheels well. Unlikely to be a Bimmer, but it's a premium car for sure.

EDIT: I didn't see the second pic before I posted, it's impossible to a M3.
