Yup it's time for my random guess moment:

Audi Quattro, more specifically this one:

I think it's an old Peugeot Group C car, or maybe a Ford RS200
 
Is it a Marlboro livery on that car? It certainly looks like it...

I'm going to put a guess for now on the Sierra Cosworth Rally car?
 
It's not a Marlboro.

The car accomplished some noteworthy feat in the past, and was the last of it's kind to do so.

Look closely at my hints. Google, Wiki and Wolfram|Alpha* the hell out of them - cross reference and match. If you stumble across the correct Wiki for the car, or driver, I guarantee the other hints will match up.
