It's garbage like this that ruins the game. Like, seriously, what is the need for that? They're undrivable in anything that isn't a straight... Why not take the time to learn the game's driving ad tuning mechanics? It's so much more rewarding of a feel than a cheated car.

Grow up, dude.

He can play the game however he wants, and to be honest, if you've got to vent, there's PLENTY of other threads for you to express your displeasure. No need to direct your hate for the car onto this guy, especially since you're hardly helping the situation. No one's gonna go "oh noes, Snake doesn't like this, let's all stop". It's here to stay from what we've seen, so the best you can do is turn a blind eye to it.

At @OP, there's quite a few people who are passing these around, post a thread in the marketplace, I think that those guys (assuming they don't all have as short a fuse as some members here when it comes to this) would be very willing to share. 👍

Its a godforsaken hacked car man, its not just a RBX1 @ 1551HP.

How can you say he can play the game however he wants in reference to the civics.
The car is a ILLIGITIMATE HACK. Do you know what a hack is?

It means unlawful entry or adjustment of electronic equipment.

So by saying that the OP can do what he wants, you are encouraging him to break the law, defying PD's terms of use, and act as a criminal.

You should be ashamed of yourself. And anyone who dares oppose me WILL get a mouthful. You have been warned.

Well, simply, it's an old argument, but it's his game, who are we to tell him what he can and can't do with it? Of course, you can advise against it, but someone can send him a copy of the car and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Why are you so bothered about what other people do with their games? If you don't want them in your drag lobbies, there's a power limit that can be imposed, or alternatively, if you don't want to race them, just move out of the way when one lines up to drag?

Of course, if we're talking about hacking in general, I'm against that, since the day will come when someone will inevitably shove a more manageable amount of power into something which can actually use it (say 1500hp in a R35), and that will be absolute hell for online racing in general. But with the Civic and its ridiculous inability to get its power down, I'd treat it as a laugh, a novelty. It does no real harm to anyone and can easily be removed from the track with a simple power restriction in the rooms (most "good" drag rooms have a power limit imposed already to block X1s, so if we're talking drag rooms, no real worries there).

As for the legal side of things, I'll stick with the argument that, if PD really didn't want these cars around, they'd have taken the chance to get rid of them with a patch, wouldn't they? And if they do do something about it and we get tangled up with the law, well…we can't say we didn't see it coming, did we?

TL;DR- It's wrong, but it is very much up to the individual to decide and take responsibility of their actions. They ask for it, they get it, but should know what it could result in if PD do act.

My opinion on this matter, anyways.

Not sure that using a hacked civic makes you a criminal. If it is a crime to use a hacked civic, I would think there would be countries where you could go and be safe from prosecution.

It's against PD's terms of service to hack or take advantage of hacks. Whether that makes you a criminal or not is irrelevant, the most that would happen would be a PSN ban and if you're constantly being caught, a console ban.

Sorry Onboy, but you've taken the wrong approach to this issue. You can't just say "oh I put a horsepower limitation on my lobby so it's all good" because that's like saying "I wear a bulletproof vest, so I don't need to worry about the gun-wielding maniac". What about everyone else? What about the people who don't set restrictions on their lobbies? Why should they have to put up with people using hacked cars?

Personally I don't have anything against hybrid cars, but I do have something against people using them online. The reason hybriding was so popular in previous GT games was because it didn't affect anyone else but you, so it was fun for all involved. The moment it interferes with someone else's game in an unfair way, that's when it should stop.

The X1 has 100,000 HP and negative PP. It can't be kept out of PP limited rooms which comprise the vast majority of Open Lobby racing rooms. Sure the host can get off the track and boot someone doing so during warmup, but the enterprising trolls will just wait until the countdown is underway to begin their carnage. And who is going to want to host when they spend most of their time kicking d-bags in X1's instead of warming up or qualifying for a race? Maybe they can find a way to hack the PP system too. Then what?
