@knukken: Good to see you back. From the condition of your car at the start of stage 2, it looks like you had some "excitement" in stage 1, too!

I love the Finland rally course, especially in Group B 4wd, but these 2010s rally cars aren't too bad either. That's why I named it the "Happy Ending Rally", because if you successfully finish it you feel relieved like you just ... LOL!

Check out this Yaris that just drove past my job site

S1 is my favourite long stage but 2-3 months away and not using my Fiesta made me crash, spin and roll several times. Still enjoyed it tho :D

For the Sunday Series racers:

We're already at the the halfway point of the LMP1 series. Please start thinking of what type of car you want to run for the next mixed class LMP1/GT3 series starting in February. Hazard has aready confirmed that he wants to run an LMP1 car, and I want to run a GT3. We need 8 racers in each class to evenly split the two classes up. I'd like to allow you to select the class you prefer, but we might need to make adjustments if one class is over or under represented. I suggest the faster and better drivers take the LMP1 cars, because with the speed difference the faster car is going to be responsible for safely getting around the GT3 cars.

Thanks for the great racing we've had all year long. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I'll jump in a gt3 preferably, but if needed I can run an LMP, I won't be that fast in it, but I'm pretty sure I can get around without smoking into anyone.

I'd prefer to drive a GT3, but I'll go with wherever the numbers are needed.

I don't mean to open a can of worms by asking this, but @GUTTERBOY3007, would you be up for discussing the use of Traction Control for the mixed class season?

not a happy bunny tonight, made myself a handbrake, just so i don't have to use a button, wired it up about two weeks ago, worked a treat, finished the brake mechanics today plugged it in and did a bit on project cars , all good, tried Dirt, started well then " controller disconnected" comes up on the screen ..... T300 has power (led on) just ps4 and laptop wont recognise the wheel... the T300 has been a bit troublesome with random things happening that never happened with the G29.... in two minds what to do now...

Damn Trans, that handbrake came out awesome! I hope you can get it working correctly because I'll be sending you $$ to build one for me if you can. Is that a custom tablet mount too? Looks great. I have my iPad mounted so it hovers right above my wheel base, and my Galaxy tablet mounted where your tablet is (just on the opposite side). I also have this button box mounted on the left, and I highly recommend the button box if you don't have one: http://www.ignitioncontrols.com/PC-PS4-Button-Box-Controller-p/ig_056.htm If you make those CNC mounts, or know where I can buy them, please let me know because I'd appreciate it.

I just got a T300 Ferrari Alcantara and I was having a problem with it disconnecting. Cheezz helped me re-map the screenshot button and I haven't had a disco since then. He can walk you through how to do it. Also, are you plugging your wheel in to a usb hub (not directly into the PS4 port)? If you are, that can cause disconnect problems, especially if the usb hub is powered via the PS4 usb port and not powered by a wall power adapter. If I recall, the PS4 sends out a "security scan" via the usb port about every 10 minutes, and a usb hub can disrupt that security signal.

I think part of the problem might be that your shifter and handbrake are on the wrong side of your sim rig. LOL ;-)

@GUTTERBOY3007 thanks for you comments, the tablet mount was one i bought of ebay and butchered to suit my needs and the allloy part i literally cut it out on a band saw and finished it with a grinder..

the T300 is plugged directly into the ps4.... even my laptop wont recognise anything is plugged into the usb, i tried to re flash the firmware but can't because as far as the laptop goes the t300 isn't there... i have contacted thrustmaster but am not holding my breath, firstly because of their reputation and secondly the base was a used unit so no warranty...

do i buy another one or do i go back to the G29?????

First off.. Really nice metal work! 2nd...do you still have your g29? I was contemplating going with a 300. But I was reading reviews, and this is becoming a common problem with the 300s. The only con I can see with the 29 is its a bit "notchy"
I think I'll put up it, like a gritty gearbox or something. Kinda like my m22 Muncie 4 speed in my 69 Camaro, it's noisy, but it's a rock crusher!

Ooooh 69 Camaro..... lush
Yeah still have the G29, the notchiness can be dialed out main reason for the swap was having a larger wheel and mmmmmmmm alcantara mmmmmmmm the feedback is probably no better than the G29 just different, the thrustmaster shifter is a lot better but the G29 pedals are a lot better than the thrustmaster offering, might mod the G29 change the wheel and move most of the buttons to a box

Here's my review of the GT Omega Art Monitor stand.

http://usa.gtomegaracing.com/monitor...-monitor-stand

I couldn't find even one review on the entire internet for this single monitor stand (but the triple monitor stand does have some reviews), so I did my own:

I was looking for a stand for my 40" TV so I could place it right behind my T300 wheel and PS4. I have a Playseat Evolution and the pedal box will fit within the GT Omega Art Monitor stand as long as when you assemble it you have the "lip" that the caster wheels mount to OUTSIDE instead of inside (Look at the example photos on the website - just mount them opposite of the photo). This does not affect the function or stability of the stand by having the "lip" outside.

The box the stand comes in is only about 2' long but surprisingly everything fit in it. The directions are in Chinese, but there are photos. The best thing to do is look at the photo and think it through while assembling it. The kit comes with everything you need to assemble it, including 2 small wrenches and an allen wrench. Do yourself a favor and have your own adjustable wrench or both a 13mm and a 14mm box wrench ready because the supplied wrenches don't really fit. The "extra" bolts are used to mount your TV to the stand, which was nice to have (I used the longer M6 bolts, but there are other sizes included too). It takes a little bit of adjusting the height to get it just right, but it's not too difficult. I was able to assemble it, set it up, and adjust the height by myself, but an extra pair of hands would have been helpful.

It's not the flashiest stand out there, and it is that weird Chinese steel (hard to explain, but you know it when you see/feel it), but for only $110 shipped it's a great deal. My TV used to be about 6' from my eyes, but with this stand I'm now only about 2-1/2' away and it is much more immersive while racing. It's like really looking out the windshield! Another good thing is that since it's a stand-alone unit, FFB from your wheel doesn't cause your TV to shake or move. I'm going to pop-rivet some speaker mounts to it for a center speaker and front stereo speakers. I'd recommend this stand for those looking to improve their sim racing rig.

Thrustmaster customer service responded within 24 hrs to my first email, and almost straight away to all my following mails, pretty impressed, but that is where the good impression ended... I asked if they were prepared to sell me a main PCB board.... no, ok kinda expected that, as my T300 was used there is no warranty, happy to pay for a repair, first Thrustmaster wanted me to send them £60 to cover return postage (wtf really??) then parts and labour but they can't tel me how much labour is per hour or how much a pcb is and i have to send the unit to Canada.....
If i hadn't just bought the alcantara wheel and the shifter i would have gone back to the G29, but today i picked up a new T300 GTE for £219, hopefully i can ebay the wheel and pedals get some money back, the dead one i will try and get repaired or use it for spares..
on the plus side, this has made me rethink my rig, got in mind some things to fabricate, an improved handbrake, a sequential shifter, a button box and a pedal box, also have a rig design lurking in the back of my mind....
first things first time to learn about electronics.....

@GUTTERBOY3007 was very happy with the qualifying, was all downhill from there, pushed off twice then two land mines didn't help, first put me on my side second cost me a place..
