I am rather proud of this one, I started this one almost half way through and went nuts.

Great pics. ARRR I cant wait to get this game!!! Im trying to wait till after christmas but I might not be able to wait! :crazy:
 
When are new maps coming? Im so bored of the current CS:S maps.
 
How do you know if Steam has been updated/is updating? I saw it update itself once before it connected to my account.
 
Yes first steam detects your version then updates (sown as a percentage and bar) then after it finishes connects your account.
 
Opened this game up yesterday, since the girlfriend is going out of town.. I have to say that this game is crazy! Maybe its just me, but i get jumpy walking through the tunnels.. Especially when from out of nowhere a combine pops out to say hello.. Or that first encounter with a headcrab zombie when you're in that tunnel and you get your first grenade.. Those flying scissor things really know how to sneak up on you though, dont they? I was up against a fence looking at 3 of them on the other side, when i started taking damage... I thought i was too close so i backed up but it didnt stop! i then realized that there was 3 more of them right behind me attacking me.. Talk about crazy stuff. This game is so full of suspense though.. If ravenholm is really as bad as everyone says, i might not even be able to play! Haha.. :\

the manhacks (flying scissor things) become a pest but I love knocking them around.

Also, i'm stuck on a part of the game... It's the part where youre in the air boat, and you end up in the middle of this old docks area, and there is a ramp that is UNDER the overhang, but is blocked by a wall of logs that hold up the overhang... Theres a pile of rubbish that leads up to a hole that you can jump through, but its very low and is very difficult to get over the wall... Anyway, i've managed to get over the wall and under the overhang, but no matter how much speed i get coming off the ramp, i hit some sort of invisible wall or something when i am perfectly clear to land on the opposing ramp that protrudes from the sewage pipe. Am i doing somethign wrong?

Hey guys. Just got H-L2 reinstalled, and now ready to start over. Tis alright though. I didn't get very far. Can't wait to get serious.

Will this game play on 512 RAM and 2.08 processor. and what kind of graphics card is needed?

Yes. I'm running 512MB and 1.53Ghz(athlon xp1800) and it runs fine. I'd say a graphics card anything above a GF4(thats what Im runnin) or ATI equivalent.
 
Hey, I'm on Rick's comp (friend) and I needed some help with my game.

OK, I'm on the Red Letter level. Anyways, I just ran into a very stressing spot.
I'm in the sewer like thing where a bunch of the robot bugs w/ blades come at you, and there's explosive barrels everywhere.Ok, Well I shot the explosive barrels which caused a chain reaction and killed nearly all of them. OK. I go down and there's like a steel cage like floor, with a ladder. OK, I go down the ladder into the water. There's like a big tunnel with a red light in it. I can't reach it. So I go back up, and and stack some barrels so I can't get up to other walkway you can't reach without a barrel to help. I get up and walk down a hall to the other end the area. OK, well, I come out, and see the end of the big red tunnel. But there's a huge wall blocking me, and with 2 cage door openings under the water. I go back to the 1st part, and stack barrels in the water. After 45 minutes, I get and am finally in the red tunnel.

Ok, so I come out and see myself on the other side. 1 problem. I can't get it back now. I go up the ladded and see where I"m supposed to go on the other side. I can't make the jump. I dive back down, and open the wood, and let the boxes and spools come up. Now I'm confused, and have no idea what to do.


Please Help ME! Thank you guys.
 
You're supposed to enter the room east of your entry point (after the short hallway) with all the pipes in it. There's a wheel attached to a big pipe that is a little ways down. Walk around and you should spot it. To get down, simply drop down from pipe to pipe.. Spin this wheel and the water level will rise. Go back into the room that you first entered, and swim under the water and through the tunnel and climb the ladder. You still wont be able to make the jump, so once you have fully recovered your oxygen bar, dive down into the water and break the planks that are blocking the boxes and the big wooden wheel so that they float up.. Then head back to the top and access the other side by hopping up the floating boxes and big wooden wheel to the other side.. It will probably take a few chances to get the planks broken.

Took me a while to figure out, too. Haha.
 
Got it with no problems. Finding the wheels is a little challenging though.

But I got it. No one warned me of the boat chase. OK, I'm on the boat chase, but I'm now at the part where there are 2 Trucks shooting missles. I see a ramp from place to another but nothing in between and no way to get up.


BTW, that chooper gun pwns! And it regenrates!

How far am I in the game anyways? I have already ran into a few zombies. Got to shoot them in the head.

Your still got a long way to go.
 
1 more question. How long before I encounter some of the better guns. So far I've gotten the SMG type, the pistol, the big power pistol, and of course...the trusty crowbar and gernades. I mean like shotguns, Gravity gun, and aren't or isn't there an Alien type gun?
