Took a road trip with a buddy across Washington state. Got to experience some amazing roads and views. Car didn't skip a beat :D

We started in Redmond then headed East. Here we're in the middle of crossing the Cascades

Best part was we picked a perfect time to go, there was literally no one on the road. We had all these places to ourselves

Here we're at Grand Coulee dam, again with a whole parking lot to ourselves :D

Overall it was a great experience. Got to meet some really awesome people and test the limits of my car. Things don't get much better than an empty road snaking though beautiful scenery on a sunny day with the tops out and speakers bumpin :D

And here's me trying to be a badass :P

Some awesome roads and awesome scenery. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! How did the suspension enhancements treat you on those backroads?

Funnily enough, I was passing by there a couple of weeks ago myself...

Need another buddy? Those roads look killer and that scenery looks almost as good as Oregon :) .

Amazing. Even though some of the canyon backroads took you within 5 feet of a 1000+ft drop, I would feel completely confident of taking those corners at over twice the speed limit (theoretically of course...). All the money spent is now justified

Amazing place, isn't it? You could feel the turbines spinning all the way in the visitors center.

Maybe soon, we're thinking of doing this again but in Oregon as I hear you guys have some nice roads too 👍

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Hwy 53 is amazing, and not too far from Washington. If you take Hwy 101 down through Astoria you'll be right there.

Let me know when and I'll follow behind in my SVX, it'll make your car look so much better. :)

Going to attend my first autocross tomorrow, super excited. Did a final inspection to make sure all my mods are secure and torqued to spec and all fluids are topped off. I'll be running in Novice class since I've done less than 5 events, but I'm a very competitive person so we'll see how it goes :D

Sounds like fun in Washington. I thought about going up to Detroit tomorrow with the GM river days, but no since southern Michigan won't stop raining this month. :banghead:

So just got back from my first autocross. Gotta say, I think that was the most fun I've ever had. Sucks I only got 4 runs but still was a great experience. Everyone was friendly and willing to give you tips.

First run was more of a pace lap than anything, didn't want to get lost. Clocked in a 53s. Second I pushed it a little, ended up taking off 6 seconds with a 47s. Third kept pushing and got a low 46s. Fourth pushed some more and got a mid 45s which was in the range of C5 Corvettes, a couple BOSS 302's and a 04 Cobra. Car felt great. Balanced and neutral, easy to control. In the right hands I'm sure this car will do a 40 second run. I can see why GT Academy graduates are so successful. Had an instructor with me for first couple runs and he was thoroughly impressed with my lines, especially being my first event :D

This is the part where I would post a video, but of course even though my trunk was packed full of tools, air gauges, tanks, fluids I forgot my camera. Oh well, but I'll defantly be going to the next event in July so I'll make sure to record that one 👍

I have never been out to Washington but that scenery is incredible. Rocks, mountains, a dam, and the weather looked perfect. Loved those shots! Also congrats on the autocross.

Well done. Congratulations, those are some impressive times.

The addiction starts...

Thanks! And yep, I defiantly got the bug :D

Scenery was breathtaking, pictures don't do it justice. Let me know if you ever decide on coming out here :)

So it looks like you're autocrossing regularly now?

I plan to. But now I'm forced to choose between getting a fresh set of rubber along with lightweight wheels or the exhaust system I've been wanting to get for a couple years now.

Sucks not having money

Update time!

Not much changed. Saving up for new tires as mine are pretty much gone so thought to upgrade to some nice lightweight rims in the process. Plan to get a set of 18" Forgestar F14's coupled with 4 x BFGoodrich G-Force Rival S (P315/30ZR18). Yep gunna 315's all around :D

Some recent shots:

So a group of guys and I took a trip from Seattle to Leavenworth through the mountains. Luckily weather decided to play nice and even managed to run the way home with the tops off :D

Final stop in Leavenworth.

Even got to lead the pack for a little :P

Plenty of twisties along the way and car stuck like glue. Still saving up for lightweight rims and a set of tires from this decade.

Video coming soon...

Nice. It's was a really nice weekend to go out for a cruise.

Leavenworth is a pretty popular destination. Next time/when it gets warmer, you should do Highway 20/North Cascades Highway. That's a beautiful drive.

That Lotus looks so sad way over there all by its lonesome

Nice update! 👍

No one wanted to scratch it!

I really liked it though, tried out the seat and you're pretty much sitting on the floor. No carpets, no cushioning just a rev happy motor and 1900lbs of car

Once we made it over the pass it was well into the 70's. Traffic was an issue though.

I went on Highway 20 on my way back from Eastern Washington last time I went on a trip. One of the most scenic roads I've been on and there's actually a lot of places to stop and hike which I wasn't aware of last time I went. Maybe this summer I'll go back and check out some of the stops :)

Nice roadtrip you had there! Jealous of those roads and those views!

I just got mine back on the road this weekend had the tops off as well! Felt like summer for a brief moment.

So just pulled the trigger on a set of four 18x11 Forgestar F14's in matte black. Plan is to run a square 315/30/18 Toyo R888 setup. Rims are custom ordered so they should take roughly a month to get here, meanwhile I need to invest in some new front hubs and wheel studs. Can't wait to hit up the next autocross with my fat new rubber :D

While waiting for my rims to come, decided to invest in some driving mods, primarily a new MOMO Eagle steering wheel:

Removing the airbag was nowhere near as suspenseful as the movies suggested. I was disappointed :(

Didn't have enough time to install it today, will finish tomorrow. But it feels AMAZING in your hands, perfect grips and with actual leather!

Overhaul time. With school done, a new job and summer coming up it's time to get ready to hit the twisties. I'm almost at 90k at this point so I thought it time for a bearing/bushing/wheel/tire upgrade. Here's the part list:

- New control arm bushings
- New ball joints
- New tie rod ends
- New front wheel hubs with ARP studs
- Four new Forgestar F14 18x11 Wheels
- Four new Toyo R888 315/30/18 tires

Day 1: Disassembly. Took about 4 hours to get everything off. Plan to take all the control arms to a local shop and have them press in the bushings and ball joints rather than try and tackle them myself.

Tires lasted longer than I thought they would. 20k+whatever the previous owner put on them. It's been over two years since I coated them with plastic dip and apart from the edges peeling it was holding up pretty well. I did take off the plastic dip as I plan to sell these though.

New tires!! I thought my current tires were big, but these 315/30/18 Toyo R888's make 275 look like bicycle tires! Can't wait to get them on. Now I have to wait for my rims to come, they ship Friday.
