Has anyone lost interest in this game?

Gotta say, I feel exactly the same. Used to be super excited about GT5 but now I don't care that much. You might say my frenzied, passionate lust for it has waned.

Gran Turismo 5 is like that cousin that you haven't seen for a while. Here and there you may talk to them, see a picture of them. But until you actually hang out with them is when you realize how worth it was to wait for them.

I thought that whole cousin thing was outside New York. ;)

Add me to the list of people who have lost interest.

How can you get excited about a game when you have absolutely no idea when it is coming out. At this point I have no reason to think it will be released in 2010. What is to stop the from delaying to March 2011?

They say it's 65% (??) or whatever complete but don't you spend most of your dev time on the last 5% to make a game great?

I'm looking forward to Test Drive Unlimited 2 and iRacing is starting to look real good.

That is so true. I was thinking today aswell that Gran Turismo taking so long isn't always a bad thing, because look at Need For Speed, there's a new one just about every year.. what I mean is taking so long makes Gran Turismo that bit more special. Because Its something that only comes around every so often. So as I said it makes it more special, and more exciting. Something to look forward to.

Yea taking so long make more special but the days pases and i`m not inmortal and you neither.

not yet....and I am quiet calm though the %/§$ behaviour of PD and the permanent delays....
How about my suggestion: Closed all forums (and so the endless discussions) until release of GT5?

-> Hmm, I just forsee GT5 as a failure now. But that doesn't mean that I've lost interest on the game itself. Its just, other than whats on the toilet, it would be GT5. My expecations on GT5 is just that, flushed thru the toilet. :indiff:

GT5's release is like that hot sexy virgin wife that perfectly fits you and yourself and no one else.

It'll be worth the wait, because in the end, you'll enjoy it more than anyone else with that Forza 3.

I've been a diehard GT fan since before GT1 was released. But these delays and pointless crap that is shown is just annoying. Also, look at the last record for the forum....

What I have long since lost interest in is agonizing about when it's going to be released.

Exactly how I feel. Sure I'm as keen for the game now as I ever was, but it's been so long and there have been so many disappointments that I just take things as they come now and have conceded that it will be out when it's out.

I guess if I'm being totally honest, that's not entirely true - I do hope to see it before Christmas 2010, but apart from that, it is what it is.

Nope, haven't lost interest at all. I adore the GT series since the first one and have supported PD always. however, the wait this time around is long, and seeing clitches in demo's ins't helping either (hands going through the steering wheel when shifting ect.). Still I have faith in PD and know they are perfectionists and wouldn't release GT5 with obvious faults. In fact, I am more excited than ever considering it will come out this year! :)

It's not so much that I've lost interest, as I've lost any real excitement about the game. I still want to play it when it's out, it's just that I'm well aware that it could be a long wait, and anything that Sony or PD say about the game has to be taken with an ENORMOUS grain of salt.

So yeah, interested but I wouldn't describe myself as much of a fan any more.

I've not lost interest at all has I'm a huge GT fan, but enthusiam has died considerably for me now and it's a case of when it's out it's out. I'm not going to go crazy waiting for it anymore.
The trouble is the hype was really starting to build with the announcement of the Japanese release date, and then showing us the box art it seemed like things were happening, then bam delayed and no real info since from PD. Oh well I'm keeping busy playing other stuff like BFBC2 online.

I'll never loose interest in GT5.

I dont care if i wait another 2 years till it arrives. come on it's GRAN TURISMO

Just look at my signature.
