I'm just asking, because I don't remember it being this hardcore:

^Apparently the Lancer Evolution gets a hole in it when you have rear corner damage. You can see the sign through the gap. But I guess only part of the taillight moves...

The front end was almost that bad after just my first roll. Haven't really tested other cars, but it seems to me they just accelerated their "move and stretch" damage modeling.

I've noticed that every time there is an update, the damage gets a bit more noticable (It's very obvious when you re-install and play the original version).

I guess they are easing-up the effect a little bit at a time, to see how it goes.

That damage model there actually isnt too bad...now just to refine the edgy and empty gapped areas. How long did it take to get it that bad? I didnt even know they were working on the damage models as I never crash:)hehe

How much effort did you put into achieving that amount of damage?

Id assume so because I flipped my evo countless times.. and I never seen damage that bad.
It looks amazing but if parts fell off and lights stopped working it would be alot better
GT6 hopefully :)

This must be investigated!!! I think if it has become more severe then the 4 hour Nurburgring is going to be destroying cars!

Very little. Front end was almost in that condition after one flip, and I tore up the back end, spoiler, and top with another two. This took very little time and effort to do.

You should try it with some other cars and see if it follows suit. I would but cant get on for another several hours...work:grumpy: Maybe a Video as proof would be cool too.

I'm glad it's not just me. I peeled back
the fender on my corvette z06 after one scrape of the wall and wondered what was going on.
Edit: I'm glad pd is making the damage more realistic maybe people will whine less. :sly:

....and before anyone says, Yes im slacking on the work computer:sly:
sorry for the double post, meant to add that not quote it.

'Pics or it didn't happen' is the standard by which the internet runs. I gave you pics sir, so happened it did.

LOL...I wasnt questioning that fact that you did it but rather by how much time it took. "Not much time" or "not much effort" in one persons eyes, may be different in anothers. Not to mention a video would futher prove your point to the skeptical persons and help prove the difference to see if its changed....which I for the record am not one. No disrespect was meant by the earlier post btw if taken as such.:)

I've tried the RM Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, and it's similar, but I don't get THAT much damage after one roll. I also tried Corvette Z06, and It's not that extreme...

I like that the bumper doesn't just fall off, the damage is dependent on how you crash it and the dents are realistic.

What in the name of ****? How is that realistic at all even a tiny bit ? He said rolled the dam car at least twice. And I assume at high speed. Try doing that in a real car and report back on your new view of the gt5 damage model.

Looks like my anti-troll magnet is broken..

I'm expressing my thoughts and opinions, you don't have to agree with them, but acting in such a manner is uncalled for.

Please, express your thoughts in a decent, and clear matter.

The damage model system looks pretty realistic, but a bit ridiculous at the same time, like the tailights. It reminds me of GTAIV's damage model system

The damage trophy is the only bronze trophy I don't have, I can't figure out for the life of me what I have to hit (or how many times) to get a piece of the car to fall off.

Use a WRC car. I believe they have the most advanced damage in the whole game. Go for the doors, they fall off the fastest.

Meh, a little more mabey, but my old Challenger is still bulletproof apparently, and the Lancer I tried never got that bad after 8 flips off the last corner of Trial Mountain.
