I have brought three games up to this level and now I'm stuck

Why? Anyway, getting gold in the S licenses got me an Audi R8 LMS ultra; half of all stars in Super got me a McLaren F1 and all stars in Super got me the Audi quattro Pikes Peak. I suggest driving slowly through it in order to simply get it cleared, and this goes for anything you're having difficulty with. You'll then get a ghost that you can try to beat by a little bit with each successive run. The car's heavy and likes to understeer under power, so be gentle and try to find a smooth line through the course that requires minimal turning.

Brake early, accelerate thru the apexes. Take a few slow laps, and figure out where the apexes are, as you speed up the laps figure out the latest braking point so that you can turn in and accelerate thru the apex of the turn. The Bugatti does not turn well, so you get your best times making the most of your straight line speed. Go to the GT6 video section, I think Twissy and Tidgney have videos of golding that event. You won't be able to do what they do, but it will show you the correct lines.
