:nervous: Oh, no! I'm gonna wet myself.

Introductions are always akward to me. I never quite know what to say.

I've been playing GT since GT1 a long time ago. I've always been hooked on the GT series of games.

I'm just playing GT4 for the fun of it- I'd like to beat it but don't feel obligated to. I mainly like the ability to build up some of those classic cars, and take and share pictures over the internet.

I've tried setting up Kai to play online. I could not get my network card to "lock" or get Kai to detect my PS2. I tried following the tutorial here, but my PS2 does not list a MAC Address in the "Version" screen. I don't know how to obtain one. ConsoleDetect found my PS2 just fine- so I don't know what the issue was / is. I've given up for now.

As for what I do for fun besides GT4, I have a few real cars I enjoy tuning and street racing. I own a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 and a 1968 Dodge SuperBee.

Well I'm gonna go make myself a signature with some of my pics.

I hope you all liked my Intro.

Welcome. Type in proper English with full sentences, respect other members, act in a mature fashion, and always, always have evidence to back up your arguments. Do all this and you'll be fine!

Welcome, FocusFast, apparently there is an online edition of GT4 out this year, a thread here, that might be worth waiting for if ure dead set on real competition.
The Kai link that uses MAC adressing for the PS2 may not be optimal but i recall there being a wealth of people in these threads that got setups running, do a deeper search for KAI etc ure bound to find a workaround 👍
enjoy the 'planet & never be intimidated!

I am dead set on online competition- in fact, GT4 is the only game I have bought that doesn't have online ever since I got SOCOM a couple years ago. I swore I'd never get a game again without online play.

But then I saw the pics some people on other car forums posted from GT4... and had to go get the game (and a flash drive). I want to set up a website with pics of my cars (real and GT4) as soon a Tripod is back up and running- unless someone esle knows where I can get free web hosting.

Nice to meet you, I'm sure someone along the way will tell you to read https://www.gtplanet.net/aup our Acceptable use policy and https://www.gtplanet.net/privacy our Privacy policy just so you get an idea as to what is and is not tolerated

I do not want to sound like I am trying to be rude, but the mods/admins work and toil to make this a VERY respectable and friendly environment that will make visitors feel welcome and welcome to always come back

Hope to see you around more soon :)

Edit...

If you cannot use your website hosts storage, a lot of people on here use http://www.imageshack.us to post bulk pics to illustrate their posting.

Also, it is a bummer you gots a '68 SuperBee

Welcome to gtplanet, FocusFast. :) Like Anderton said, please do visit message boards outside the GT4 section as well. I'm mostly found in the Off-Topic section.

Welcome to GTPlanet, FocusFast. Glad to see you've made a very good introduction, and you already seem like a good guy.

Just thought I'd point out that pictures are disabled from signatures.

We're all pretty easy going, fun and friendly here. Be sure to check out all of the forums outside of the Gran Turismo sections that catch your interest, lay back, grab a coffee (although don't drink as much as ceiling_fan ... he drank way too much one day, and ... well ... hence the name) or a beer (though don't overdo it as much as DQuaN or PunkRock) and enjoy yourself.

Matt.

Welcome, FocusFast! I hope you enjoy your stay!

As said in every welcome thread lately, watch out for Famine.

Yes, really.

Welcome to GTP, it's good to have you on board, if you have any queries just ask any of us GTP'ers and we'll be sure to help you out! ;)

Once again, enjoy your stay!

Well, you found the right place to say it, and you said it in clear, grammatical senteces with no txt msg 1337 sp33k. So you're batting 1.000 in my book so far.

Cars good. Old Mopars really good. Street racing REALLY BAD. Really.

As I'm sure you've discovered, images are disabled for signatures here, thank the stars.

Except for the "street racing" bit, it was a fine intro. Welcome to GTPlanet.

Hey welcome to probably the best forums around 👍

We got some GT4 Photomode comps running which I'm sure you will find of interest here.

There are also forums I think from every corner of life, from the hotley contested Opinions forum (Honestly, I've made one post in there and then ran away ) to the peaceful Photography forum.

Enjoy!
👍

Welcome to GTP, check out as much of the site as you can and enjoy it.

And yes, watch out for Famine.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Everyone has warned you about Famine but they have failed to tell you how to avoid him.

There are three rules to avoiding the wrath of Famine.

  1. Thou shalt not give false facts.
  2. Thou shalt not use junk science.
  3. Thou shalt not talk about things which you know nothing of.
By breaking these rules you call down the wrath of Famine and you will quickly be corrected and reeducated.

If you follow those three rules then Famine is a handy resource which you may quote in research and will be recognized anywhere in the world without question.

I'm starting to feel sorry for Famine. Everyone's so jealous of him, but I suppose being our resident international jewel thief and sex symbol will do that to mere philanthropic racing drivers, philosophers, and adventurers such as ourselves.

Welcome to GTP, FocusFast.

Welcome to the 'Planet, FocusFast

Exits are located here and here, with life jackets under your seat.

In the event of an emergency, leave the computer and runlikehell.

Thanksyou for choosing Air GTP.

The GTP apocalpyse has already been and gone, about 20 times. One of them was me chaning my avatar, apparently.

Famine is some sort of wikibot installed by Jordan. Kinda like Anchorman except with a sense of humor.

Welcome to the planet!

Another was code_kev and tha_con agreeing with each other...

Famine
Won't you at least let me groom one of them?
What, so he can correct and educate everyone while you sleep?

Famine West and Famine East, keeping GTP educated around the clock. :nervous: It sounds dangerous.

This site ain't big enough for another Famine.

Another Anderton Prime, however, might be just what the doctor ordered!

(Well, as long as I'm the doctor...)

The pic you posted is of a '69 Superbee. The grille is different and the '68 doesn't have side scoops, it has small indentations on the rear quarters. Aside from that they are the same.

Sorry if you don't like it that I street race, but I do. I've been a part of the scene since I used to go with my dad when I was 14. When I say I street race, I don't mean those kids on the highway racing from light to light at 100mph. I mean I am part of organized street racing; late night, industrial park, blocked off roads type street racing.

Anyway. I figured out you can't use an image in your sig. Note the sig.
