My school is getting into the festive spirit. This is what I saw when I arrived this morning. It's really massive.

@matty: We don't get Christmas decorations because of "cuts" :(

Anyway, I have a controlled assessment in English on Act 1 scene 1 of The Merchant of Venice. They could have at least picked a scene where more stuff happens.

I had rowing training in the gym before school. That was taken a 6.55.

Confusion becomes jealousy, you have a gym!?

Actually I really should be saying this to everyone on this thread seeing as everyone's school seems better than mine

I do go to a private school by the way, so don't feel too hard done by. It ain't free. :) But yeah, we do.

Now that's why my school is good. We have a gym attached to the school and pupils get free use of it.

Better than my school gym. We've got about 3 bike machines, 5 rowing machines, a few broken weight lifting stations and some skipping ropes. It's been flooded God knows how many times, and smells like dog biscuits.

Started our English written assesment today, our second one, about an advert review. Everybody is doing the new John Lewis one, which I am so very, very sick of. So, I decided to do the new Microsoft Surface advert, which also annoys me. I can't write a funny/sarcastic positive review, whereas a funny/sarcastic negative review is pretty easy. I'm just scared that because I'm finding it so easy, I'll get a bad grade. I thought that on my Maths exam and ended up with a D. :scared:

We're also designing some mosiac tile things for the Year 11 Common Room in Life Skills. Not sure when I'll want to make a mosiac later in life, but you never know. The current Year 11s have trashed their Common Room, some of it beyond repair. Ripped out the electronics, trashed the walls, kitchen etc., so we're doing ours up now ready for when we get into Year 11. I was originally going to draw the school's Ford Transit minibus in a Kool Art style, but that was a bit too complex for a mosiac, so now I don't know which design to do. The guys on the next table are all doing LA Lakers mosiacs, and some girls are doing rainbows and stuff. I was thinking of doing the DC Shoes logo... or would that be too douchey of me?

My school gym has about 3 broken machines already, and it's been open for a fortnight.

Also, what are the year 11s like at your school Katiegan?! The worst thing that's happened involving things getting trashed at my school was probably when a pencil got rammed all the way through a computer screen. It came out the back...

My School gym is actually two gyms, one weight room, one cardio room, a wrestling room and a trainer's office.

I made the Basketball Team and play for the JV (I'm a sophomore). I actually like starting JV Basketball instead of sitting on the bench for Varsity. The bad thing about it is my JV coach is also my History Teacher. I now have to keep my grades up even more in History but I love History so that won't matter.

Some girl comes up to me in class regarding a chemistry lab and asks me to tell her the answers. I would have gladly helped her arrive to the answers, but since she doesn't have any initiative to do work and sits all day and plays with her Blackberry, I said no because its plagiarism. Here is the response I got in return:

"Omg parham ur so 🤬 why won't u just post the answers!!!!!!!!!!!!who cares"

:banghead:

^ Same thing happened to me today. Sorta. Except the girl was asking for help. I'd have gladly helped her if she actually did do the work and pay attention. But she always talks or goes to the bathroom for a half hour so forget it. And she was getting all pissy but I stayed calm. In reality I wanted to scream at her to shut the hell up but I never show it. Then her posse of friends were all giving me dirty looks and crap.

This is why with each passing day I come to hate my geometry class even more.

I honestly don't really care about girls at my school anymore, other than my GF. Guys are easy to get along with mostly, but girls, you just gotta leave them alone and allow them to try being friends with you if they want to.

Day 1 of my internship started today for my vocational Auto Tech class. Missed yesterday as the idiotic school didn't fax over my permission forms fast enough....checked for bad ball joints, 2 inspections and did a complete rear end swap on a Ford Ranger in 2 1/2 hours.

Found out from a friend the girl I like and her feelings about me. I saw the text message:

Friend: Hey

Girl: Hey what's up

F: Do you like (my name)

G: As a friend? Absolutely, he's awesome. As a boyfriend, no.

G: Wait does he like me?

F: Maybe (Thanks for the bailout...)

Damnit. I think I've been relegated to the dreaded "Friend Zone". Me go cry now.

You know what you do in that situation is to go up to her tomorrow ASAP and say that you have no interest in being only her friend.

Yeah...she's a no go...found out one of my friends asked her out TWICE (even after being at her house, texting pretty much daily, etc,) and she said no.

Well, I've got a Plan B (Date girl whose madly in love with me, but doesn't live in my town. Pretty decent/good looking) and a Plan C (Try luck with one of original girls' friends).

Or should I back out alltogether?

What should I do?

If you have a chance with someone you quite like don't back out, you'll regret it.

We can't use graphing calculators.

Best calculator on earth allowed in schools. Solves quadratics, solves single variables, does table of points for any kind of graph and more.

That's weird. You're allowed to use calculators that can solve equations, but can't graph? Usually it's the other way around. That's what I have heard for the most part, anyway.

We had a conjoined band class today in preparation for the concert tomorrow, and it was hectic in the band room. Trying to put about 50 or 60 people in a room, with about a third being drummers, with instruments is bound to create chaos. All members from all band classes in both the high and middle school in the same room at the same time is just...
