That's pretty bad. But also useful. I had a throbbing headache last week, and had to sit through double physics. :grumpy: Not what I needed.

Eek! I always get scared when I get bad headaches. Just think though - it was your brain working hard!

Did absolutey nothing today. At all. I slept. All day.

Same here! But I've got to go back to school tomorrow... that awkward moment when your feeling ill-ness expires.

Today wasn't the best day to miss out on, though. I missed English, so I missed out on planning our Speaking & Listening role play thingy, although I'm pretty sure we all know what we're doing anyway. Then I missed out on the only good day for PE, because we only get the teacher once every two weeks. I had her in Year 8 and she was horrible, but she seems to have chilled out now and she lets us do whatever we want. If some girls want to do benchball, she lets them go play benchball. If some of the other girls want to go in the gym, she lets us. So I missed out on that, too.

I didn't miss out on double History though... mind you, we're currently doing the change in culture in 1920s USA, which is really interesting to me. I have no idea why, but I just love learning about 20th century history, especially history from the USA. Makes me feel a bit nerdy, to be honest.

My point is that there's nothing to brag about when you're taking College math...

:boggled: Of course there is, the College math is much like the Uni one, you just learn different stuff. Getting a 99 in anything is a great feat, it's a lot harder to get that last few percent compared to going from an 80 to a 90.

I didnt like math at all. Now I look at my mates taking AP Stat and go "Wow, I could have done that".

Still loving senior year. Downside? My planned dance date, and my reserve dance date now have boyfriends. Awesome.

Math to me is like hieroglyphics to me. It's impossible to understand

Maths is easy, all you have to know is:

Number = Number

Letter (can) = letter or letter squared though its more likeely that letter = number.

In the case that letter = number what does 0.375962804 letter =?

Answer= 0.375962804 Number.

Simple algebra!

-Hope this is confusing enough for you

Math is stupid. I can't even do basic math without a calculator. I'm being serious.

Theace

That makes absolutely no sense.

Stahp!

That makes zero sense. High school math is 100% logic. If you learn the basic rules of algebra and geometry you will understand the math.

Me no gusta algebra 2. I always make some type of stupid mistake on my tests

This, although I love geometry applied to algebra, when I pass one number or letter from one side of the equation to other, sometimes I don't remember what operation does on the other side :dunce:

For example, I'm "learning" point slope operations [y-y1=m(x-x1)] and when to apply them and I forget that y1 passes to the left being positive instead of negative (in some cases).
That makes me angry because a whole test was based on it, I forgot that little detail and I got different results in the whole test and I got a zero :grumpy:

I got 1/32!!!!! Not lying

You've gotta think of High School math as an input output thing... you put in a Y value, you get an X value. Simple as that.

Actually a great way to explain it, just need to work on communicating easier.

High school was a fun and crazy site you had gang bangers ,drug dealers , car enthusiasts, geeks and

kids that was cool with everyone. Our school teams were pretty good we had a few kobe's .

The teachers were funny they treated you like an adult we cracked on eachother for fun.

But my most hated subject was math because of regents, it took me Seven times until I passed it.

You have to pass all 5 regents in order to graduate for some reason I passed the hard ones but the easy

ones but two gave me problems. U.S history and algebra but I studied hard and finally knocked them out

my senior year. The regents were twice a year in February and in June. I enjoyed shop class then I was a

mechanic helper in nypd

...In college level math...

So? It prepares me better for my fifth year.

Because I have to take university math next year and physics, and possibly chemistry.

Oh the joys of finding out that accounting sucks, then scrambling to get courses for the college program you want to get into...

I somehow got chewing gum stuck to nearly everything. Got it on my bag, my coat, my jumper and my trousers. It's disgusting. I also woke up with a sore throat and a huge stinging mouth ulcer. This week isn't going very well.

Are you doing Triple Award or Dual award? I'm doing Triple award and I have exams on 9th January which account for 25% of my mark.

I'm apparently doing double I believe (I'll end up with 2 science GCSE's) because my school decided that'd be best for everyone, despite being in the top top set where everyone's target grade is an A*...

And I hate it when chewing gum ends up everywhere. It's disgusting. Not as bad though as when you go into the canteen and find every single table is covered in remnants of food and drink because the Yr7s have just had lunch... :yuck:
