So today in the same class that somebody asked where Africa was today, somebody had said 'I never knew Asia was in Japan!'

Then following that, the teacher had asked what island he was pointing to (the Philippines) and somebody said 'the Bahamas?'

Major facepalm there.

I had to explain to a friend that New Zealand wasn't in Europe.

Well, I suppose it is similar to Wales (sheep, landscape) so if you had an IQ of around 8 you might get them confused.

It's not?

I'm being serious btw. Really thought it was.

No. New Zealand is just next to Australia, which is in Australasia. Just because it has the Union Jack in the flag doesn't mean it's in Europe. :p

Speaking of the children who make me worried for the future, here is another one from my school:

*Friend and I talking about presidential election*

Random 6th Grader: Obama will be a great president!

Me: How so?

Him: He lowered the national debt from $20 Billion to $4 Billion in four years!

Me: Actually, he kinda- (About to say "raised it" before he rudely interrupts, saying this, or something like that)

Him: HE LOWERED IT STUPID MOTHER(Bleep) YOU ARE A DUMB(Bleep) AND HE WILL BE PRESIDENT IN 2016 TOO SO STFU!

Me: Ok, so, if you know so much about Obama, what state was he born in? (Hawaii)

Him: Um...Kenya?

*Proceed to laugh in his face before walking away*

That's sadly the mindset of some people at my school too.

You have Obama kids at your school? Cute. We have Romney kids here.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the locker room was alight with Obama bashing (I don't care for either, but I'm much happier Obama won over Romney), and I got whacked over the head with a rolled up t-shirt for stating that I preferred Obama. :dunce:

Went to my Counsellor and talked about math... I currently have an 84% and am thinking of dropping it before its too late. I want a 90% and above....her opinion was to "Work your tush off and get that 90%+"

I don't mind people stating his/her opinions as long as it is done intelligently and not obnoxiously. Obviously hitting you on the head with a t-shirt for stating your opinion was not intelligent by the person who hit you

Back on topic, I get to miss class tomorrow to help shuttle people in and out of our high school's auditorium for a Veterans day assembly.

Well, I'm sorta near the SHEE-CAG-GO area, y'know....

Anywho, it was my best friends' birthday today. Party is on Saturday. =D

These last few days have been so annoying. All the kids talking about Halo, parties, or getting high. I just wanted to leave school and do my studies else where because people were so annoying. Today though was a really good day. I got a lesson about drugs during Study Hall. In Physical Education, we were playing basketball. I joined the group that was just shooting around. My first 10 shots were misses because I either had to much power or to little, my touch was off. I finally made my first shot when a kid backed up into me and I hit his leg falling over while taking a three point shot and made it. Nothing but net (and a nice swish). After that I caught on fire (not literally, but I finally found the touch I was looking for) and was making shots like my life depended on it. I got called Hot Hands by some of the people that were there.

After Gym, my day just flowed. I was very relaxed and had no drama at all effect me.

All sites have recently been unblocked from our school computers, so now we can go on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook etc. during lessons, even if we're not supposed to. Today in Science we went to the computer room, and I decided to go on Twitter. I was doing my work too, just had it in another tab. Then I ended up on The Daily Telegraph website to find out about carbon monoxide poisoning tragedies, and then this advert decides to come on and play music, so then I panicked, closed the tab, which resulted in a big screen of Twitter, and then someone in the class turned around and went, "OH, YOU ON TWITTER? FOLLOW ME." which drew attention to me... luckily by this time I'd played it out and was now on the Google homepage before the teacher managed to see me on Twitter.

 My mum suggested that. I honestly cannot bear soaps...

Bear soap?

If NZ was in Europe, I would be a much happier person, and would have a lot less to complain about. But nope, we're so far away from America and Europe that we either have to pay ridiculous sums of money to get things sent over here or can't have things sent over here at all. :grumpy:

I dislike my own country more than I should...

America gets really wrapped up in this political stuff, when the elections happen here in NZ, students barely even mention it, so we definitely don't argue about it.

Anyway, I finished my graphics work for the year and handed that in yesterday (finished with 10-15 minutes until the deadline), even after spending the first half of yesterday and the day before not doing graphics. I only have 6 hours at most of time left in school for the year (English exam, and music exam), I think it's actually 5. English is a 3 hour exam, music is a 2 I think. Should be interesting to see what ones I actually get credits from.

Nope, cannot bear soap. I mean, those arms and legs are way too awkward to wash with. :sly:

That actually makes sense, it would be like... Well, I think you know.

That avatar... why. :boggled:

:sly: Because ponies are great... And so is Judas Priest. All my opinion of course, if you don't like it, try and imagine it as the original Screaming For Vengeance album cover.

Junior Carnival is tommorow. Likely king and queen winners will be the prettiest girl in our school (a sophmore) and a kid with autism (a freshman) It's really nice to see the kid have this honor, since he has had a hard life with autism included (his parents practically left him for dead when he was diagnosed, not wanting an autistic infant. He was adopted, and has lived a happy life since then. Heartwarming.)

The skit that will likely win is awesome. It is a stripped down version of Fighting Gravity, but still awesome. Witnessed it for the first time today.

If you don't know about Fighting Gravity, check it out.

(We combine our Junior Carnival with another school. Our school is too small to hold one).

Genius.
Pure genius, print that off as a CD album cover and then burn the Priest songs onto a CD. Why didn't I think of that before? :irked:

Brought math score up to an 83 from a 75. I think that I did really good on the last test so that should bring it up to almost 90.
We had a small test today and it was pretty easy, but so many people were pissed because they couldn't even finish the whole thing.

Since I already own the album I'll probably just print it off and place it in the case over the top of the original one. :sly: AAAWWWWW YEEEAAAAAHHH!!! However, I am lazy and it will probably take months for me to get around to actually doing it. :p
