Hey I was just wondering how the aussie cars in the game are represented. EG// do the have good handling at all? or has PD made them dogs to drive?
I'd also like to know if any of you have tuned any one of them to the max and what was the result? What is the most potential horsepower you can achieve?

I know there are plenty of threads on Australian cars but I cant seem to find what im looking for.

Anyone? C'mon I'm sure someone has tried the Aussie cars out.......I'm still waiting for my copy in Australia and can't wait anymore! :grumpy:

I have heard some good reports on the F6 Typhoon.
 
All I know is that in one of the liscense test you're driving a four door FPV with "BOSS" logos all over it. I like how it drives.
 
I had a brief go at the F1GP last weekend, only problem is that the setup they had there only had the DS2 controllers and not my DFP... I was really rusty with the DS and made a complete hash of trying to get around the Nurb with a Monaro CV8, so I have no real feedback that I can give you.

i love the FPV cars the F6 is a nice drifter and the GT is a beast man i wish they sold them here in USA ....

Yes the Typhoon broke, they cant simulate that ingame lol.
 
It would be pretty funny playing GT4 runing the Typhoon on the burg and its stops all of a sudden because of the clutch lol.
 
Yeah then you get a message from FPV telling you off for flat shifting :lol:.

Can't wait to drive an Aussie tank in a GT game. I've been dreaming of it since GT1!

Did anyone else try to find FR cars in previous GT versions that came close to specs of Aussie cars? Or am I the only one with a good enough imagination? ;)
 
Once the Holdens and Fords are fully tuned up, I would REALLY like to know what other well known cars in the game compare similarly (in the same class) for times around the nurb (or other track if that'll take less time..).
Please someone do this test, it would be a great indicator as to where the aussie cars sit in the world of GT...
 
i can tune up my GT and b-spec nurb ...... dont feel like driving lol


Edit ... the GT fully tuned has 684HP and a power to weight of 2.215 ...
compared to my 2004 imprezza WRX STI specC 522HP 2.309 P/W
and my Lance EVO VI RS TME with 520HP 2.058 P/W
 
Sounds like a good idea Cobra - anything is better than nothing! Its only useful if you b-spec other reasonably well known cars until you find one (or just look at previous times for nurb) that goes about the same speed, that would be a super cool gauge of performance...
It would be nice to know where the Ford GT or (Monaro CV8- please!) fit into GT4's roster of cars when fully tuned to the max and set up reasonably well..

Edit: Thanks for the info Cobra - how about nurb times for the GT as well as another car that gets say within ten seconds b - spec nurb? If you can't be stuffed hey thanks anyway.

hey mates i dont own none of those cars yet! but i do know that they resemble my every day driver a svt contour. the euro version is called a mondeo. and the gt3 version was kick a**. i hope they handle as good as my svt. do you guys think if ford still made them in the us that they would be like the aussie version.(my svt is ff at about 220 hp) 👍
 
it would be good to be able to put turbo's on the monaro. amberley auto's got a twin turbo
750bhp monaro and they think it could get up to 1200hp. can you change the colour of cars once you have them because i want to get a red moanro and make my own HRT427c.
 
Funny how a thread like this brings all us aussies together. 👍

I checked that Nurburgring time database link and couldn't find real life times of the holdens or the aussie fords. Did Holden ever test their cars on the 'ring anyway?
