Well, there's always the Z28 like I suggested in my post.

Blaze suggested to me the other day about using the Audi R8 LMS, however being an expensive, standard model car, I don't see many people having the car, let alone being interested.

A mixed Spec series would be interesting. Getting all the different cars to be even could be difficult though.

These are my opinions:

- After participating in the Japanese Classics Street Racing series I don't have much interest in racing mixed model series unless the cars are extremely similar. I like how our race results are mainly determined by driving skill and car setup, not car choice.

- I don't have any interest in racing muscle cars. Some people might, but I'm not one of them.

- What about the Honda NSX (RM?) for the next series. It's premium, cheap, race modifiable, and a blast to drive. I've never actually driven an RM version though since I don't normally modify my cars. If not this car, I would like to see an FR or MR car chosen.

yeah ididnt realize it was 5 million. sheesh why so expensive

I don't really car what car we would use.. What I would like to see the most is less grippy tires. I think we have all improved our driving skills, and I personally, really love driving on some comfort soft tires.

Well, I'm one who thinks that race cars = race tires, so if we use the Z28 or NSX RM, then it'll be Racing hards for sure.

The rear tires on the Z28 are too fat to use anything else

But if we were to use a street car, then I'll test out different tires and see which ones suit the car best.

As for tracks, when we get around to season 2 of the Integras, then I'd like to expand to maybe 8 races. Nothing more, as I think that's too much for the situation. Probably also either 6 or 8 races for whatever we use in between those, as well.

Drop Daytona, and add Indy as a championship race.

Add a Street course (Either Rome or Monaco)

Perhaps drop the custom track. Add Nurburgring (GP/F, most likely)

Then add one of: Monza, Laguna Seca, Grand Valley, Cape Ring South or High Speed Ring

A place to run the R8LMS would be awsome! i love that car!

Okay, so I'm testing out the Z28 and NSX on different tracks, and honestly, I think I'm liking the NSX a little better.

I know that Ghova guy tried to make a series using (roughly) our regulations, but nobody posted in it on account of how everything was pretty much impossible to read. I know there's also a series going on right now using the car, but it's open only to those Aussie folks.

The only thing I'm not really sure about is having two series in a row using the same make of car, but meh.

I agree with both of you. Racing hards are appropriate for race cars, but I would like to use tires with less grip. There is always the option of running a lightly modified NSX (not race modified). The NSX is a real treat to drive online with sport hard tires.

I think I've found the perfect amount of Horsepower for the Z28 on the Hards.

At about 90 miles, it's at 422. I think it'll max out at about 427.

I still long for a series with a mildly-tuned Z06 C6.R.

Race Modded, or not?

As I have a Z06 that's not race modded, yet is tuned a little bit.

RM'ing the regular Z06 turns it into the C6 GT1 car. Which is an awesome beast. If only we had an RM Porsche tto battle it with...

I'll have to check it out tomorrow. Busy playing with the Z28 and the Cappuccino right now and I'm getting tired.

Right now I can't decide between the two of them. I may have to put it up to a vote.

Camaro Z28 RM
NSX RM
Either
Neither/other

I'd vote for NSX, but would still like something else out of the ordinary. Still trying to find that special car though...

This happened when I was messing around with the Camaro at High Speed Ring:

Ok i am on the fence right now, I don't know which one I want to start more, the BMW Z4 or the Challenger RM vs Camaro RM race series. I like both every much. If you thinking of making a Camaro RM race series, I already got one ready to go.... Almost because I need to match both cars.

I'll have to see if I can find time for it, between this, spec miata, and the Cappuccinos, but go for it.

But lets stick to your thread, for that.

Okay, so, offline at least, I think I've found a good amount of horsepower for both the Camaro and NSX.

The Camaro, at 100 miles is sitting at 423, with all mods, up to Engine stage 1. It handles the power very well on the Hards. Lots of rear grip, as expected with the fat rear tires. Online, I'm sure it would balance out nicely.

The NSX, at [I can't see the miles right now, but it's less than 100] is at 401, with all mods up to Engine stage 2. Again, it handles it very well, but is a little bit more twitchy, and much easier to slide the rear end. Online, this could possibly be an issue.

I also race-modded a Corvette Z06, like what Wardez suggested. I was expecting to to be a bit more different from the ZR1 RM :(

But regardless, it's still a great car, and with about 560 horsepower, if we wanted to do a series with faster cars than the IS-F, this would be our choice.

I cannot drive the C6 Corvettes in GT5 when they are equiped with anything other than stock or sport exhaust. The noise that PD tries to pass of as a Chevrolet small block when you equip Racing Titanium exhaust to a C6 is one of biggest failures of GT5 and completely ruins the cars. In my opinion, the Corvette RMs are an absolute joke because their engines sound like fourbangers instead of ground pounders.

I thought the Semi-racing exhaust sounds great.

But agree that the full Race exhaust is awful.

It does tend to oversteer slightly, which is one thing I love about it. It's not uncontrollable - even for beginners such as myself - but if you're careless it will bite. You really have to respect the car's limits or you'll find yourself facing the wrong direction, which could be a good thing for an online league.

I've never driven the NSX with a controller though, with which it might be a bit too much to handle.

After looking at the leaderboards, I notice that the top 4 drivers have 3 Canadians. I wonder why, If Reevos loses his cool in the next few races, us Canadians will own the podium.

It's probably because we spend half the year trapped indoors :nervous: (<--- shivering).

Rumors say the PSN will be back up in the next day or so.

On another note, the point difference from 1st to 4th is only ONE point. The next few races are going to be seriously intense . I'm actually very lucky the psn went down because I had no time to prepare last week and probably would have gotten destroyed at La Sarthe. I should have more free time this week so if the psn gets back online soon I should be in tiptop shape for the upcoming race.
