Me. When I pull my car out of storage in the spring, the first thing I want to do is tint the windows just a little bit. I think completely black windows look really stupid on most cars.

How do I make tinted windows?

The ones on the civic are clear.

Want a black tint look.

Black dye sounds good (R1600) 👍, or you could maybe try dipping in severely watered down black acylic paint.

I've actually screen printed tints (various shades) onto polycarbonate/perspex and acrylic, it actually required a special 2-part ink, to stop the material crazing (contracting and cracking) during the drying process.

This is how it looks, I may strip the gloss black and apply some matte black I have.

Either rearrange the lighting or paint on details at this point, because a lot of detail is lost right now.

Yeah that's another bad thing about painting over the old paint is the paint then gets so thick you start to lose some of the finer details.

I actually quite like the Boulevard Bruiser so I threw these wheels on it and now I like it even better.

I tried some different wheels. And I just got done doing a bit of detailing to it. :D

I've been working on something for my RX-7 custom that should be quite awesome looking. I have a rant though about all these Hot Wheels rubber tires: They're not all the same ID! :grumpy:

I needed a smaller sidewall for the wheels I am using, couldn't find anything that fit right. So the plan is to cut the tire, trim it down, then glue it to the wheel. :dunce:

Nice! Might have to do a wheel swap on my Bruiser. Both the Boulevard Bruiser and my real-life pet Mondeo, which shares the same name. :sly:

No paint stripper today, will have to try and find some tomorrow. I'll have to wrap up warm for stripping the paint outside!

Opinions on the wheel choice? (ignore ill-fitting tire, I just put it there for the photo)

First big project once I figure out how to do my own decals...

I had to cut it to shorten it's inner diameter. It's just sitting there for now. Once I resize the axles and paint all the wheels the same, then I'll glue the tire to the wheel which will pretty much make the cut invisible.

Looks amazing.

Edit: Just like the real thing.

Nooooo. I'll trade you a White on Blue Falcon for one of those! I don't have a Blue/White Falcon. :grumpy:

I've been buying all the blue ones because they have clear windows. The white ones have blue windows. 👎

If you have a 99 Cents Only store in your area, check there. 👍

Yeah, I knew you had to cut the tire. But you say it will disappear, so you better be right!

Zach McNoname, ditch the RR5SPs. The RR10SPs look WAAAY better on the falcon.

Jason, I'm glad you're making a series. Get Decal laser paper and a colour laser printer and get drawing. I'm ready to get on making decals myself very soon.

Also, those the Blvd Willy's wheels? Either way, they are surprisingly good. 👍
Keep the decals retro racer, and don't go overboard ;)
.

I restripped the paint as i didn't like the look of it, I also blacked the wheels by rubbing the chrome of them.

Now I am waiting on some clear red, flat white and lemon yellow paint, then I will super glue it shut.
