I see.

Anyway, I looked up a review on Testor's Decal Paper and turns out they're horrid.

I was looking forward to printing out a simple decal to paste on my White series cars. Guess I'll have to fall back on the eraser stamp.

Is it any good Cano? also, do you bother to use the brush on solutions they advise?
I think i'll get hold of some of that film when i get around to fixing my printer, my local hobby warehouse stocks it, i'm also interested in the carbon/kevlar decal sheets they do (different brand to the 'Experts-Choice') but not sure of the exact scale.

Well, can hardly tell, I've only used it for the Renault and Rampage tampos, both have been white applications. I've yet to use the transparent sheets.

Also, the carbon fiber decals are trash, and have too big of a wave to be 1:64-compatible.

I wasn't sure about their Micro Set and Micro Sol at first, but after I watched a video of someone using it on their figurines, it seems legit.

Also, I think I the Liquid Mask is exactly what I was trying to do with the petroleum jelly before. Only thing is that I have to cut out the stripe... which I could do, but that will take longer than and get me less desirable results if I were to hand-cut a straight edge.

Okay guys, I need some help finding certain castings.

Recall the day I revealed a future project was to create a near-exact replica of this:

So I have a '71 Road Runner and '71 Charger that look close enough to the front and back fenders respectively, now I just need help finding a casting that has an engine bay that's the same size (or bigger) that I can fit into the Road Runner.

Do you guys know of a specific casting or any series I can look at to gut engine bays? What about the engine? Can anyone think of an engine that looks similar to that pictured above?

It is indeed! I have it myself. I think they are extremely rare were i am because i have only seen one of them things on the pegs. Not sure about Canada or anywhere else, but ether way, good luck finding it.👍

 Okay.

But I'm going to need a much bigger engine than the one seen above. It definitely needs to have the shotgun scoop.

Cano, or anyone who can help me too I guess:

I have this car primed and ready to make a redline out of.
Now, I don't plan on putting any old 5SP RLs or even the likes of those that came on the 25th and 30th anniversary models. I want four original mint redline wheels. How would I get a old of such wheels without needing to purchase an original car?

Oh, that's disappointing to hear, was really hoping the 'Microscale' stuff's weave would be appropriate for 1/64.... still, i guess printing out a good weave on clear is a possibility.

That's what I wanted, thank you very much. ;)

Take into account that you need the entire axle system to mount them, they are not held in place with the usual axle, the "trees" to mount the tires look like this:

You could also install a set of later, "hole" type redlines (same as blackwalls, but with redlines), but there are no repros of those afaik, you'd need to source them off a Since 68 car or something like that... or off an original car.

If you decide to go the closed cap, early-redline route, you'll have to adapt an axle to the Charger's chassis.

So I'm looking at my Studebaker pickup...

think a drag car has been made out of this casting before? I have an idea of jabbing an engine in a cut-out bonnet... or stabbing it in the bed.

Hmmm, Krazy Glue seems to be working ok. I wasn't able to get rid of the slice marks on the sidewalls, but unless someone can come up with some similar sized tires that fit perfectly, these will just have to do.

Edit: And at the current ride height of the car, the front splitter is almost touching the ground. Will need to grind that down somehow without ruining the paint. Although I may have to repaint the car as I accidentally got a smidge of krazy glue on the paint. :(

That looks Schweet! Jason 👍, shame about the crazy-glue thing, but agree with everyone else.. silver would suit it beautifully (though i'd be tempted to do the inner walls of the arches in matt black). What kind of body mods did you have in mind?.. I think a subtle hood scoop (oem off center one from the FC) would look pretty cool and quite simple to achieve.

[EDIT]

'Bushido blade' progress:

Just need to flatten/smooth-out the wing mirror surfaces (hopefully they won't break :nervous:) now, then weather permitting (spraying outside) it will be finally ready for primer.... at last

Heck those fender mirrors look sweet as hell. A friend of mine did a Z432 with a Z-Whizz a while aback and also made fender mirrors for it:

But I think he used scrap plastic off his trash bin or something.

Cheers! man, the mirrors on that Z432 look perfect! as does the whole car (mine seem way too large in comparison). Do you have anymore pics of your mates Z ? i'd love to see more of it.
