I actually quite like the Boulevard Bruiser so I threw these wheels on it and now I like it even better.
That looks really nice McZachen. 👍 The Boulevard Bruiser reminds me of a modified Mustang for some reason.. and with those wheels, i think the car should be named 'Red-hot Eleanor'. :)
This is what I just got done doing. :D
First time cutting up a car.

I really like this too. 👍 (You people don't realise how envious i am of your Dremel's , though i suppose i could just try using a hacksaw.)
No paint stripper today, will have to try and find some tomorrow. I'll have to wrap up warm for stripping the paint outside!
Indeed. All of my paint stripping and spray painting has to be done outside, and it's bee bitterly cold for the last week or-so.
I've been working on something for my RX-7 custom that should be quite awesome looking. I have a rant though about all these Hot Wheels rubber tires: They're not all the same ID! :grumpy:

I needed a smaller sidewall for the wheels I am using, couldn't find anything that fit right. So the plan is to cut the tire, trim it down, then glue it to the wheel. :dunce:
If i was a braver man (and had more than 1 set of minilite/watanabe wheels), i'd try the same thing.
Opinions on the wheel choice? (ignore ill-fitting tire, I just put it there for the photo)

That looks even better than your first choice of wheel. 👍

It's supposed to snow next week, which is when I plan to get most of the outside work done! :scared:

Got the paint stripper today, however we don't have enough time to strip it all and what not outside as it's getting dark, and we have friends coming over in an hour or so.

I've got a Corgi Eddie Stobart Ford Transit that it's in a sorry state, I bought it from a stall back when I was in juniour school for about 20p or something stupid like that. I'd really like to do it up again, but I'm not sure how to go about the Eddie Stobart decals. I'm hoping to set up a little Hot Wheels/Matchbox restoration 'garage' that I can put on show - a little garage playset with my restored cars on show and project ones inside the garage, and I was thinking the Transit could be my parts van . I suppose I could have a design of my own, but I've got some rare Eddie Stobart collectors stuff from my grandad, and I'd feel like I was taking something away from the collection, as I have a Corgi Eddie Stobart truck too.

The Transit looks like this, but with chips:

I just stuck them on for reference. Seriously no wheels look good on this car.
Except maybe the same wheels, but with the black spokes. All cars look good with black wheels with a chrome lip. :dopey:

Edit: I rummaged around in a small amount of wheels I had back at home and these are the only ones that looked even remotely good.

:)

I left the rear alone since it's fine how it is. But the way Mattel has the front sits way too high. Had to snip the axle and use the brass tubing, then bent it to give it some camber too. Rolls like it came that way. 👍

Now to do the other 3 cars.

Notice the difference? Front car is blurry thanks to the macro mode on my camera but you can still see it...

The white line on the front of the cars is different.

Edit: not what was looked for. But I'm right in any case. :lol/

That's just a variation in the tampo placement. Not uncommon on any Hot Wheels car. Often referred to as a "tampo slide".

Yep, we've had snow here twice already (week just gone), didn't stick too bad, but we in for more next week.
Diorama with the customs and Eddie Stobart van sound cool 👍, but depending on the state of the van, i'd be tempted to just leave it as is, though custom Eddie Stobart custom decals sound cool, probably easier to just get hold of another van.

I agree with Cano, though if i had lots of sets of those wheels, they'd be on everything (even if they don't look correct). I think the lace wheels look good, but what i think would really suit it, would be some gold 'Hot-Ones' wheels... i used to have a silver 80's Corvette with them on years ago, was my favourite HW for a while, until i swapped it for a 1/32 Corgi Ferrari 308 GTS. :D

Didn't know they came like that.. but i like 'em. 👍
The 'Hot-Ones' wheels seem to suit a lot of cars (imo of-course).

Those will help, I may have to do that one from scratch. As long as I can find all the necessary logos. Going to start with something easy (CotF FPR Ecoboost livery) and go from there. 👍

I've got a Norton 360 Falcon USB if that helps? I could take some pictures of it. :)

they don't look like they've broke through to the other side. Ever considered flipping the tires around?

What? This tire combo also required the removal of the "backbone" on the wheels. I had to cut that off each wheel so the tire would fit flush, then cut and trim the tire so the inside diameter matched the wheel. Pain in the rear, but I couldn't find any other small sidewall tires that fit these wheels as-is. :(

Oh and I just notice the imperfections in the paint. That's just surface dust, should have blown it off before I snapped the pic...

Weren't the stock tires sufficient enough for you?
