At that price, and with it going almost entirely digital for game sales, might as well just get a PC. Miss out on GT but play all the other sims instead.

Heck GameStop was selling used PS5Ps for over a thousand dollars so I think I will on that and the PS6

While the reference to a "leaker" is nonsense, all indications are that any PS6 would cost well over $1000. Not just at, well over. The odds of Sony/PD putting significant effort into a game and releasing it only on the PS6 in the next, I don't know, probably 5 years at least, are nil. That's if the thing comes out at all. I know some people just have too much money but seriously, who would buy it?

I personally will probably stay with what I have.

The decision has and always will be Sony's and Sony's alone.
Gran Turismo has historically often been regarded as a "system seller".
I disagree with your thoughts on this and would argue that the lower the PS6 sales are compared to production i.e. "overstocking" (remember PS5 had the exact opposite issue, production could not meet demand, so arguably the situation with GT7 was completely different), the more likely Sony are to require a PS6-exclusive release of "GT8" in order to boost console sales.

Well, I mean, great! The PS5 will be the longest supported console ever. No problem on my side. :D

The PS4 still beats it with the ongoing GT and EA/FIFA support.

I won’t be buying the PS6 if it’s over $1000 and not a significant bump in graphics, loading speeds and hard drive space. I think that it’s ridiculous you buy a $600 console and have to put a hard drive in it if you want to access more than a few games.

I’d buy it at just under $1000 if it came with 2 controllers, an optical out port to be able to use my shakers on my seat with any game, a hard drive capable of not being used up by a call of duty install… so at least twice the size of what the ps5 originally came with and much more detailed graphics and frame rate.

In other words it better blow my mind and have those requirements for me to buy it.

Indeed, I considered upgrading my pc to AM5 which would be a new motherboard, new CPU and new RAM. But the RAM made up over 70% of the cost for 64gb. I could afford it, but decided not to. My PC is still decent enough for a couple more years.
