How do you think the Stig gear will become unlocked?

When do you think the special helmets and suits will appear, regardless of whether or not you believe that they are in the game right now?

Well, I've already completed them and I don't have 'em!
 
You can't get them at the moment. When and whether they will appear, no one knows and I don't really see the point in trying to predict or guess.

I thought it would be interesting to discuss all the possibilities.
 
Top Gear Seasonal Event. Considering there are two pieces to it either there will be a really tough race (your getting 2 prizes) or there will be a Time Trail and a drift session on the TGTT.
 
Well, the suit has 'been in the game' since release. It was used in the top gear introduction video, so it should be ready to be put into the game.
Given the fact that the 1.10 update added the suits, new seasonals and 3x prizes in order to to lure people back into playing gt5 after the psn outage, I would say that this will be among the DLC that seems inevitably to me at this point.

Here's hoping that a racing suit will only be a very, very tiny part of future DLC. And that it isn't to far away timewise. :nervous:

That sounds very likely. Maybe it will be similar to the expert challenge seasonal.

If they have it as dlc, it definitely won't be tradable (which would be a good thing, making it exclusive)

PD can make it untradeable though. Like the 1,000,000 cr budget cap on tradeable cars, Special race gear could be untradeable. Makes sense to only have one Stig on a save file. As there is only one Stig at any one time:sly:

I haven't thought that far, but it's very likely (If it's DLC).
PD does work in mysterious ways though, so I guess we will just have to wait and see if, and how, new content is going to be added down the line.
 
Pray to god that a vettel suit etc will come :D
 
i dont think it will Turn 10/ forza has the rights to Top Gear & The Stig...PD fumbled with TG

Game manual says outfit items are divided into 3 sections...helmets, suits, and "special outfits". "Special outfits cannot be mixed with other outfit items". So by the sound of it the Stig suit helmet combo would be one item.
 
Bit off topic here, but it would be awesome if you could unlock different colored Stig suits, like in the Top Gear Stig farm. Imagine having a race with all different colored Stigs. The race would be a battle for Stig supremacy!!
 
Closest suit to stig atm is probably 8/12 or 18/19 waver. Not sure if that's perfect but thats as close as you can get for now. Not sure about colors though. They might be wrong, MyGranTurismo doesnt have colors for collector items.
 
I think that you should recieve special suits like special paints, whenever you reach a certain amount of cars. For example, when you have a certain amount of cars a message will pop up saying "You have reached X amount of cars in your garage. You have recieved X paint and X's special suit."

Adding onto my previous post I have this. Go to about 1 minute 7 seconds.

THE BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!!
 
not to hijack but I'd much rather have Mario Andretti's helmet
 
I'm guessing it will be a type of seasonal. Probably on the top gear track and probably alot like the expert seasonals.

Fully agree, no one knows for sure that it will be in GT5 pure speculation.

Some say he's owned by one company, others say he can be anywhere at once. All we know is he's called THE STIG.
 
Stig suit automatically adds 100hp to your car and takes off 100kg :D
 
I've definitely seen the Stig's suit and helmet in the "new" intro movie - (although it wasn't an Alpinestar suit).

So it must be the new Stig's get up.
 
To be honest, the Stig helmet really doesn't look good compared to some other helmets we have already got (f.e. the Wonderland helmets). :)

I am for that they should gift the helmet to the top 10 players of the seasonls. And it should be not tradeable.
Then it would be something worth to own a Stig helmet & if you see someone on the track with a Stig helmet then you know "Dang, this guy is a Stig!". :dopey:👍

But first they should patch out the cheaters: Cheating new Nurburgring 24 Hour time trial
