How do you think the Stig gear will become unlocked?

Closest i've seen to the Stig is when you start up a new game. If you don't select any suit for your driver, he is automatically put in a white suit with a white helmet but it has Gran Turismo on the chest from what I can recall and you can't trade it because it's gone when you change to another suit as it's not put into your items either, just vanishes into thin air.

Ah ha - I didn't realize that was a correct form of spelling "over seas." I still wish mine was Schumacher instead of Schuhmacher....

It is a Bspec driver's name.. I then chose a similar style/color for helmet and suit.

The game gave me a red helmet and a red suit. Now, I'm happy driving my F1 2007 and my chrom F430 Scuderia. I feel like a M.Schumacher watching my replays

I think it will just be totally random, I mean, there was no specific way of getting gold/silver chrome.

Saying that, there is a possibility of a Top Gear seasonal event, but we may not even get any Stig gear unless they endorse it

Well, the suit has 'been in the game' since release. It was used in the top gear introduction video, so it should be ready to be put into the game.
Given the fact that the 1.10 update added the suits, new seasonals and 3x prizes in order to to lure people back into playing gt5 after the psn outage, I would say that this will be among the DLC that seems inevitably to me at this point.

Here's hoping that a racing suit will only be a very, very tiny part of future DLC. And that it isn't to far away timewise.

I dont think DLC will be much longer to wait for more than likely release before forza 4 hope they include some new tracks Spa,bathurst etc and would love to see some new cars hoping for audi R18 can@t see that happening though because they are racing it at present

Makes sense to only have one Stig on a save file. As there is only one Stig at any one time

Wrong you need all of them, the Stig and his relatives:
American Stig
Eco/Green Stig
Truck driver Stig
Just to name a few

Like some others mentioned I defiantly think it will be a race, challenge, or something of that nature dealing with the TGTT to unlock the Stig outfit.
