how do you unlock damage?

no apparently you have to unlock proper damage eg: bumper coming off

Yeah, this was making its rounds back in 2010 but it was not just debunked but thoroughly obliterated a very long time ago. This is honestly the first mention I've seen of the old rumor in well over a year, and that's with me having spent a solid year on a couple different GT5 boards.

Well, technically, if you are wanting to own the car in GT Life mode, you will have to be a high level to purchase the car.

So, it wasn't all a lie, it had at least a tiny bit factual.
