It also makes me think of one thing, what is the fastest car in the game?E: By looking at the thread name, it makes me only think one thing; How fast it could be done in the fastest car.

What? I thought there is no competition. The Suzuki Escudo pikes peak car.It also makes me think of one thing, what is the fastest car in the game?
1:02.2 sounds legit, don't know if i can beat that 1:00.7. Where have you seen this or are you just trying to make me nervous? My fastest time in Escudo for Trial Mountain is 1:02.258 from 2009. But overall fastest time known to me is 1:00.722. I dont know how he did it though.

Of course there are the Speed 12 and GT-One road car but i don't think they have any chance in Trial Mountain. 180 SX Drag car is the fastest in top speed.

Seems like only way to get to Trial Mountain is the 500 GT in special events, and it's the 4th race...
That is true but if you are talking about defeating the ai nearly every car is overqualified. There are some slightly challenging races in this game with power restrictions if you have no race car yet but the way the ai uses race cars is pathetic. Watch an ai car during a replay, they take no advantage of the higher grip whatsoever. If the power/weight ratio of your car is any near the opponents and you use soft slicks you can outperform your enemies.
@Meesbaker - Yes, we all are aware of how easy it is to break the game, to trivialize every event. Some may say that this makes GT2 a bad game. Not me. You just have to work at drawing out the best that the game has to offer.
You guys get me wrong, i love gt2 it is one of my fav games ever.....
Still i love driving this. the cars are awesome, the music is, the “physics“ play great, it is really a good game. And of course that issue is worse on gt5/6. With my dfgt i can win every race in any car except a demio aspec maybe. actually the best gt interms of challenge is the third installment but it is also tedious and has the most boring physics.
That Escudo time got me curious so I went on ahead and bought a escudo and ran trial mountain.
Here's the times: Escudo 1.08.591
My Hybrid Cusco w/ Escudo engine 981 hp (didn't fully push it) 1.05.970
With the proper set up I might have gotten in the 1.06.00ish or 1.07.00ish range, but i'm a bit skeptical about the 1.02.00ish time with a normal escudo, as with the proper set up i'm sure my cusco hybrid can probably run at or close to that time (Key Word 'Hybrid'). Not trying to step on any toes here.
I am so glad this thread is still up to date, because I just created a new lap time with a Challenger. This Challenger only has a port & polish.
The Excuseo! Ha! That dirty car is banned from my garage (Excludeo!). If you need that to beat your friends something is wrong with you. I put down a 1:19 in the FTO LM on my first attempt but I think I can do alot better with some work put in. Love these lap time threads, GT2 needs friendly competition to stay interesting.
Edit: no its actually super interesting and still my favourite GT.
Who was i racing with? It's just demonstration of what that car can do. It's very exciting to drive like every car in the game. The Excuseo! Ha! That dirty car is banned from my garage (Excludeo!). If you need that to beat your friends something is wrong with you.
