How is this done? Lap 2m faster than others.

Pit glitch. When someone did it in a race I was running, all my sector splits were out of kilter. Every split was purple by multiple seconds.

Ok, so it is possible to just beat everyone in the field due to this glitch?
The driver's total time was 5:41, or 5.66 minutes - divide by 3 laps and that's 1.8 minutes per lap (or 1:50 or so). A good lap on this track is 2:30 or so, so it is possible to cheat on the online mode?
 
Yes, the whole game is broken. Glitches, bugs, broken tyre physics. Sports mode, all rankings and track records are invalid atm.

Not really. I've only come across one guy who uses the pit glitch in the asia/Pacific region, and I've yet to see anyone with the grip issue. For the most part, you live or die by your own skill (or lack of it in my case).
 
Luckily, most folks want to win fair and square. There's always someone willing to cheat, but really, what is the point of cheating a game? Have fun, enjoy the competition and do your honest best.

True, tho the issue with this glitch is the 'winner' comes out so far ahead the rest of the field never reached the finish. As the 2nd place person you won't come in under the 45second cutoff and the race ends prematurely. Hopefully this gets fixed.
