Yeah, I've gone hardcore. I set up my second PC as a dedicated server and my friend dragged his pc over, and we staged a war (with no lag time for us.

didn't want to make you wait, so here's part 2
all the while you are storming the beach, mortars are falling all over the place, and planes fly overhead. The Lt. call in aristrikes with smoke grenades, or you can use a rocket launcher (not quake style, you have 3 shots, and 30 seconds inbetween each one) to blow entire bunkers up. 3 types of machine guns, chain guns, some overheat when you least expect it.
The german side is to keep you out of the fortress. When you begin, and are storming the beach, all you see is a wall of fire put out by flamethrowers inside the bunkers. Inside, there are places for them to hide all over.
It's the best squad based game I've played. It's so cooperative minded it's scary.
