Why thank you. Now your opinion of installing XP. Should I go in over the top or a clean install? Opinion on this..

Well, if you don't really care about losing things on your PC (or if you can back it up) then definitely go with a clean install.
But if you like having everything ready to go, and don't want to redo anything, I have only heard really great things about installing it right over your current OS. In reviews they said it worked perfectly, and two of my friends had similar results (no complaints.):)
It's a toss up.

Well just weighing out the options. I heard just the oppsite on the over the top. Computer techs that I know here said it don't work good. I'll have to think about this a little longer. I do know a clean install is best. It is a good way to clean things up a little..

Here's a quote from Gamespot.

Meet the Windows XP desktop.
The migration path to Windows XP couldn't be simpler. We didn't experience a single glitch installing it on three different test systems. It goes in with zero fuss on a clean hard drive, and our experiences were equally smooth in upgrading both a Windows 98 SE installation and a very heavily used Windows 2000 system. While a clean install reduces the chance of any software incompatibilities cropping up, the upgrade option does run your system through a compatibility test and transfers over most programs and settings.
