Simple question, how much would you pay for a DLC that upgraded EVERY SINGLE standard car to premium?

Do you really need 50 Premium Skylines? I would pay 15 or so for all the standards made into premiums, but I think this might be a waste: I would prefer that they pick 50 of the standards by vote of GT5 players and then make a hundred or so new premiums of cars not already in the game again being voted on in separate parts of the world. I have been kind of waiting for PD to get paid by the car manufacturers to make a free 2011/2012 DLC pack. Manufacturers could really advertise new cars through this game.

This +

80 DOLLAR$ for me, I'll be happy to pay for all these things.

Wasn't there already a thread on this? Can't put up the link, I'm using my Zune. >_> The most I've paid is $20 for a Burnout Paradise DLC and I think that's good enough...It came with new events, cars, and even a new island. A $20 dlc would need to be special.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I've always assumed the above is why there are so many stupid cars in GT5. I figured the manufacturers were paying for product placement.

Well, for NFS games, a pack of 3 or 4 cars is around $15(AUD), so i would pay no more than that. But this is not Electronic "greedy" Arts.

If it includes some of the tracks from older GT games and let's say 15 premium cars I maybe could cough up 10 euro.
Or it would be nice if they could make some sort of theme pack(s). Like for example 5 cars from Germany, UK, or Sweden (I'm missing Saab).
Giving you a bit of variation and choice, perhaps 5 euro for each pack.
But ofc it would be nice to have free dlc cars & tracks. :)

Wow...somebody else besides me has a Zune??

Personally, I don't think I should have to pay for the conversion of Standard cars to Premium status.

Yes, I totally get that such would be a vast and expensive undertaking by PD to do.

I'll gladly pay for additional content for GT5 - big things like new cars and tracks, and even little things like new PhotoMode locations and driver uniforms.

However, converting Standard cars to Premium is not additional content as I see it. Truthfully, they should've made more of the Standard cars as Premium to begin with. (Only 223 out of the 1,034 total cars - or 21.8% - are Premium? C'mon!)

Some of the Standard cars are cool, and some of the Standard cars are needed to advance in the game. Beyond that, they're pretty much "filler" and were probably added simply to tout that magical "over 1,000 cars" achievement.

(Besides, I only have like 90-ish% of the Standard cars I have because I'm trying to collect all the cars. I don't wanna pay for cars already in the game that I can't be bothered with.)

Peace...

Six people would seriously pay more than $100 for this? Seriously? I wouldn't pay a penny for standard > premium upgrades. They should have been there to start with.

The DLC I would pay money for is a REAL WORLD trackpack, including tracks like Spa. Not interested in fake tracks or cars.. well maybe Porsche.

I wouldn't want every standard turned into a premium. There are plenty of duplicates out there, and it would be a waste of time. There are some cars in the game with more than one variant, and I'd be okay with just the best model becoming a premium.

For example, the Toyota MR-Spyder has two extra versions, the S Edition and the 6-speed Sequential. Just make the latter available as a premium.

If PD went this route, I'm not sure how many cars we'd end up getting. It'd be less than 800, obviously. I guess the amount I'd be willing to pay would depend on the number of new cars.

If PD released themed DLC packs of 10 cars each(especially with race mods), I'd be willing to pay $5-10 for them.

This is supposed to be happening with the new BMW 1M Coupe, actually.

I'm not that fussed about DLC to change the graphics on the standard cars, it's fairly low on my wants list for GT5. So I guess it would be $0 for me.

Besides, upgrading 800 cars will take a very long time and lets be realistic here, not that many people would buy the DLC so I doubt it'd be a commercially viable idea.

I'd rather PD spent their time on stuff that would add to the gameplay - some more events and tracks would be a good place to start.

15€ more or less. I want new exotic cars, new tracks and free standard to premium upgrades (just the best cars...), and miscellaneous (tuning parts, special events, etc [at a lower price]).

I payed about $20 in Shift for seven new cars and a whole new track with four variations based on Monaco. Cars included sweet ones like
* Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
* BMW M1 Procar
* GUMPERT apollo
* Honda NSX
* McLaren MP4-12C
* Maserati GranTurismo S
* Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss

and all could be heavily modified.

Probably tops for me is about $20 for a DLC, but I'm going to want NEW stuff. And cars AND tracks. Otherwise, forget about it!

Once again...

You will NEVER see a standard car turned into a premium. It will not happen. They may make new models of cars that are now standard and make those premium, but the models that are standard now will stay that way.

What? So are they gonna turn standard to premium or not? Because some of the new cars to GT5 are standard, so technically you can't say what you said at the beginning. Technically!

Depends on the cars, and how many.

Cars in crazy colours with GT written on the side are of no interest to me, unless they are new models.

You cannot take an older low res model from a previous game and turn it into the same quality car as a premium in GT5. YOu have to start all over with a new model.

Making a new model is the point of converting the standards to premiums. PD actually said that they plan to do this eventually, not for every car of course, atleast not for GT5

Making a new model is exactly what people are talking about.

$21-$40 NZD. If only to somewhat reward PD for the time they've spend upgrading them.
