At school, every now and then.

Playing GT3 or GT4, if I zone out...

LACK OF REAL CONSCIOUSNESS = BETTER LAP TIMES

It's good to 'zone out' to some degree here, or in any sports event, because thinking about your actions tend to hinder the quality of the game or your playing. Neuro-muscular memory tends to be more efficient.

Very true.

Back in my football days all of my tackles (I played defensive line) were during being zoned out.

I voted "huh?" on the evidence of my old science teacher who once accused me of landing the lunar module while I was daydreaming during one of his classes.

He was totally wrong. I was in fact pulling up in the school parking lot in my brand new Lotus Esprit at the time.

The odd thing is, people can see when I'm zoned out, and a few have thrown a pillow at me at the time. This behaviour has shown that when zoned out, I can't remember what people are saying, but I am certainly paying attention to what I see. At least if my eyes are open. Thus I have not yet been successfully pillowed while daydreaming.

I zone out very often, especially driving on late nights, I forget that I have to turn to follow my route, I also forget about the stop signs existance. And then whenever someone is talking about Honda's or other boring crap, I just zone out and day dream about Dodge or Ford.

Yeah, in ICT when the teacher starts going on about databases. At least I think he goes on about databases... After the Access loading screen, he could probably throw on a dress and rein-act a scene from Tootsie and I wouldn't realise.

I put 5-6 but it can happen more, often times when eating lunch or doing school work or something like that at school I will stare into some inanimate random object for long periods of time. When with friends and the same thing happens, when I snap back into it I usually just say "Yah, I know" or "I agree" just to make it seem like I'm not a pyscho.

I also get the same thing when on the computer, I may be reading a page or something then I start thinking about a completely different thing and just sit at my desk with my arms holding my head up just thinking about nothing.

If I'm not expecting a person to address me and they do, I'll probably have to ask them again.

"Yeah okay.............eh...what again?"

All the time. Its usually coupled with passing out/ slowly dozing off, depends on how early in the morning it is.

I often wonder if I zoned out, then realize that I've been zoned out and snap out of it, then think, "Y'know, zoning out is cool," then zone out for the rest of the day. Right now, I don't know if I've zoned out... oh, yeah. I have great determination when I'm not zoned out. I think.

I missed a good portion of that. Wait, what?

I just remembered a time when I zoned out while listening to Down With the Sickness. When I came too it was at the "colorful" part. Made me laugh a little since I wasn't expecting to hear that so suddenly.
